[ It was probably a weird time to call for a date, what with the change in management in CERES proper, but it was a break he felt they both needed, in a way. He barely knew about her own feelings regarding the changes going around this place, but she’d been a familiar and comforting presence since his early days here.

He needed to talk to her. Now or never, right?

He’d sent her a message about a few days earlier, informing her of the time and place—some indoors number eager to capitalize on a variety of noodle dishes soused in the almost familiar marinara, XO, and sesame dressing, even as it featured some more outlandish sauces derived from the CERES Gardens and, it was purported, from the jungles beyond.

Mostly he hopes she won’t order anything too weird, because if he has a panic attack at the Noodle Emporium it’ll make for a pretty awkward date.

But yes.

He looks up from the street corner where he’d been standing on, waving to her as he spots her in the crowd. ]

Yo, Vietnam! Over here!

[ You can even see the giant neon sign shaped like a bowl of demented pasta from a distance. Neat. ]

I am pretty hungry now. [She doesn't even hide it. So much for delicate.] What interesting signs, around this place! [ESPECIALLY THAT DEMENTED LOOKING PASTA ONE.]

It isn't for me, either. I'm kinda used to someplace more…run down. [ Not that this place doesn't have its good points, but he's never been comfortable with the android population (hello, waiter). ]

Sometimes? [ And Clear making vaguely gay advances on him is bad enough, thanks. ] I mean, we got a lot of robots and stuff where I come from too, but a lot of them don't try to… [ he glares at a nearby android waiter, who guiltily slinks away ]

[BUT WHAT OF THE ONE WITH THAT STRANGE CREATURE. She doesn't even know it exists.]

Oh! We don't have robots doing such things yet. [She looks at the one Koujaku gave the Look to.]

Have some tried to push items onto you?

Some of them have. [ And this waiter was gonna try to sing to them about the specials, okay. Do you really want to deal with tacky singing robots right now Vietnam?? ]

Some of them have been trying to…hug people and stuff, too.

You know, I've met one that tried to force a massage on us. That was...morbidly enlightening.

Lately? Aside from the usual, nothing terrible. [She hasn't been dropped into the deep end like a good number of the others too, so it's more her worrying about them. If only Archer could save them!] What of yourself?
