[ closed/semi-open ] coldest winter for me
Who: Kanda (overgrowth) & Vietnam (hoasen), and YOU (see toplevel in comments!)
When: IC 2/09 OOC 7/26
Where: Thistle Do Nicely and elsewhere in the city, and some bar.
What: kanda gets lost and is a menace to society.
Rating/Warning: alcohol consumption but otherwise none!
[ his own belongings currently stashed in the apartment he'd been given, seeing as none of it was particularly valuable to anyone but himself—except for mugen, which is at his hip, and his clothes, which he's wearing for lack of anything else—kanda has been stalking around the colony. there's no sign of an exit, which he should have expected based on what others told him. equally discomforting is the change in setting. the technology is something like the science department would dream up, and he feels lost.
he's still walking around like he's going somewhere to commit a well-planned murder, though. his pace only drops when he glances through a window and seems something odd.
lotus flowers. he glances around and sees more, of course, but they're a different color than the ones in this shop. but maybe his hallucinations have progressed and he's now dreaming up a setting for the flowers, as well—a shop full of other flowers and a huge bowl of water for the thick-petaled lotus blooms.
so that's where vietnam will find him: glaring at her poor lotuses like he's about to pull out his sword and cut them to pieces. he's probably scaring off customers. ]

kanda waits around for a while, but ends up getting impatient and starts flipping through racks as well. his sword hilt gets in the way sometimes, but it just makes him more aggressive when searching through some t-shirts.

[ so many kinds of clothes he's never seen before..! kanda's looking at the various cuts of shirts and pants with something bordering on offense. ]

[His voice is coming closer, because he's curious... and walking over to the dressing area... Maybe he's just indecisive!]

[ kicking off the jeans. they thump against the changing room wall, but he pulls his uniform pants back on and slams the door open, looking rumpled but otherwise dressed the same. the clothes kashuu gave him to try on are piled in the back of the room like a whirlwind went through. ]

[ he goes with kashuu to bag up the things, and actually does help out until they get to the checkout, where he eyes all the technology with great suspicion. ]

He's totally like you. All "oh, I don't need any friends!!" and scowling all the time. He even wears his hair up in a ponytail! Maybe it's some kinda stern guy thing. D'you like it 'cause it makes you look more severe?
[Which he just says in a casual chatty way as he rings the items up... Of course, the total is voided out to zero at the end since he's using his Star Employee Sway.]

[ it's also incredibly smooth and healthy even though he washes it with soap, somehow. ]

[Is he teasing?? Probably. He'll pack up a bag with neatly folded clothing while he talks, so it's all very tidy and orderly when he hands it over.]

[Even though it's clear Kanda doesn't actually care...!! He'll care enough for both of them.
He also just laughs at that, since it's not the first time he's been threatened and it sure won't be the last.]
Pretty bold! I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it goes, huh? [LAUGHS.] Kidding, kidding! [Or is he.] A-ny-way, that's about all there is to see around here. Tour's over, I guess!
