Who: Ruby Rose and youuuu people
When: OOC: 7/28 - 7/31 || IC: 2/11 - 2/13
Where: Around Cerealia, especially in the street
What: Ruby's having some troubles--but then, not being able to see anything with a red color scheme would throw anyone off.
Rating/Warning: None!
a - around and about
[Everything was going fine for Ruby at first. Slowly but surely, though, things started to go downhill. Which is why she's bolting right up to you, eyes wide and expression distressed, and--]
Have you seen a red hood and cloak? It's really important to me, and I don't know how I lost it, but suddenly it was just gone.
[She's wearing it.
Right now, it's around her neck, there's no mistaking it.
But she doesn't seem like she's joking.....]
b - entertainment district
[As the days drag on, things just get even worse...... which is why Ruby's just minding her own business, trotting on forward, when she trips over a red and black motorcycle that she didn't even see in the street.
She tumbles into the street face first (ow), and then one of the helpful NPC androids tries to drag her out of the street, but that happens to be wearing a red uniform, and she stares in absolutely horror at it.]
Floating robot head--ack!
[Trying to stagger away from it leads to her crashing into a hot dog stand with a--you guessed it--red stand and sign.
Wow what a bad day.]

B
....owwww....why me?...
[Who knew hotdog carts were so solid and little girls so heavy.]
What happened?
[Hey look who's face is no covered with ketchup.]
no subject
[Slowly, she sits up, rubbing her head. She sure landed on someone, but..........
She squints, peering closer.]
Did you know that your face is missing?
no subject
My what?
[And now that he thinks about it, he tastes tomato and then rubs his face to check. Viola, look, a portion of his lips appear.]
I know my face is where it should be, covered in what I think is ketchup.
[A beat.]
Are you okay little lady?
no subject
Oooh, ketchup. Now I get it. Good news: you do still have a face!
[thanks, ruby]
I'm okay, though! It'd take more like this to keep me down.
[A beat]
Er, I'm Ruby by the way. [not... "little lady".]
no subject
[He tries to get up, but the ketchup is making really hard so instead he leans back and sits on his heels.]
Uh, Ruby do me a favor and please get me some water and napkins or something.
[He'd like to have this conversation not cosplaying as a hotdog.]
no subject
[She'll go and gather some of those up from the ground; at least she can see those. And so, a few moments later, she's back and offering him some napkins, tilting her head.]
I don't even know how you managed to get that much ketchup on your face, but it sure looks gross. Sorry for running into you, by the way. I swear it doesn't happen often.
no subject
[As in really bad karma. A lifetime's worth of it. He takes the napkins and starts to wipe off as much ketchup as he can, missing a few spots here and there.]
Thanks. So...why did you say my face disappeared?
no subject
[That's just said really blithely, though, and then she's shrugging.]
Because ketchup is red! ... And I can't see anything red right now, it's reaaaaally weird. Also kind of sad, because I really like red.
no subject
[A beat.]
Wait, does that extend to things that, and this is going to sound weird, but does it extend to things that are colored red?
no subject
[She shrugs.]
Everything red! Which is kind of sad, because red's my favorite color.
no subject
[He stands up, stretching and dusting himself off.]
Well, at least that sorta explains whats been happening with me lately.
no subject
Orrrr... is it a different color for you?
no subject
[He sighs.]
It looks like I can't see light or things that emit light. So right now, everything is pretty much almost pitch black.
[He lifts his bangs and shows a small cut on his left brow.]
Which is how I got this. Ran face first into a street light.
no subject
[It takes her a moment to process that, before finally--]
That's rough. How'd you figure that one out, anyway, instead of... I dunno, just that your eyes really don't like you and you can't really see anything?
no subject
[A beat.]
I can see pretty well in the dark so I was able to navigate to the spot and then, bang. Face full of steel.
[He shrugs.]
I figure it had to be that, I mean, you can't see this right?
[He holds up the squished red plastic bottle of ketchup, and seconds later took her hand and placed it on her palm.]
But you can feel it.
no subject
Well, it's a good thing you're okay then! Don't you think walking around's a little dangerous though?
[She says as she idly squeezes the ketchup bottle... nothing comes out, it's practically empty now, but it's a weird sensation to be able to squeeze it and not see it.]
no subject
[Not really. The dark is his home, he likes the dark, he feels safe there.]
But sitting still wouldn't help me either way. Like I said, I can still navigate in the dark.

[A beat.]
I definately can't see cars speeding.
[He's certain he can dodge it in time, but he'd prefer not suffering a mini heart attack every time he stumbles on a road.]
no subject
Soooo...why are you out here again?
