a: tech & auto shop (semi-open)
[ he's been feeling really tired and sickly lately, but thankfully, a bunch of aspirins and orange juice, as well as some tea has been keeping him going. a few days after things get back to normal, he sends a message to some people who expressed interest in the app he came up with, saying that they can meet up now if they're available. if he hasn't sent the address yet, then he'll tell them to come to the tech and auto shop, and even attaches a map with it. what a nice guy this tadashi hamada is.
with him in his workshop is a miniature st. bernard cybuddy. when the doors slide open upon somebody arriving, it's the first thing that will welcome the person. at least the dog just talks, and doesn't bite! ]
Hello, hello! Welcome to Tadashi's workshop!
[ the dog sniffs at the shoes of tadashi's visitor as the roboticist himself gets up from his seat, approaching the door. ]
Hey. Good to see you, [ and he offers a hand to shake if he hasn't met the person yet before gesturing to a wheelie chair nearby. ] Have a seat.
[ though if this isn't the first time he's met this person, he'll just gesture to the seat right away, telling them to take a seat while he gets his laptop. ]
b: shopping district (late morning)
Demo, I really don't have time for this right now, [ tadashi says, looking pretty exhausted. he's carrying some bags with him - groceries - which he wants to put down on a counter soon since it's getting heavier by the second. not to mention, he probably should get some rest. working while being sick isn't fun at all, so getting home is a priority.
too bad his cybuddy doesn't seem to agree with him. the dog is barking at an alleyway that probably connects to a deadend. tadashi said he has no time for it, so he isn't even checking it out. ]
But Tadashi, there's something out there! [ the dog responds loudly before barking at the alleyway again. fun… and a talking dog might be weird for some people passing by. they probably haven't met the demo the dog before, or heard of tadashi's incoming line of cybuddies yet. ]
c: residential district + wildcard (post-baseball plot)
[ the day after his excursion with demo, he decides not to bring the dog out shopping again any time soon. having to put him in sleep mode wasn't fun, since he's supposed to have configured demo to work properly. he didn't see any signs of any glitching either, when he checked on his cybuddy's software after getting home… (cybuddies are officially troublesome.)
now, he's on his way to work again, though he's running a bit late. it's just a few hours into the afternoon since he woke up at lunchtime not feeling rejuvenated at all. his limbs are also sore from all the baseball he played the day before. he probably looks sick to someone who can sees him and the cybuddy walking around, so feel free to tell him to go back home and get some rest.
during the evening, he can be found walking back to his apartment looking like he needs a lot of sleep, too. he's sent his cybuddy to go home ahead of him, so he's just alone. though when he receives a text, he takes a seat on a nearby bench by one of the apartments before answering… and ultimately passing out.
feel free to draw on his face, or be a good person and wake him up. ]

[Maybe it's a little much, considering it's just about operating the CereVice. But with the luck she usually has with technology, even little step counts.]
I can't believe you actually made this. [For someone completely clueless about tech like this, this is all pretty amazing. Don't mind her sitting here and sounding impressed.]
no subject
I'm glad you find it cool. And helpful, hopefully.
[ that's the main point of this all, after all. ]
no subject
[Actually, that reminds her--]
Hiro got here after you did, right? How likely is it that I'll see any of my friends from home again?
no subject
[ a pause, and he frowns. ]
And we all know how reliable those people are.
no subject
I kind of suspected it already. I miss them, but... maybe it's better that they're not here if we don't know what CERES is actually doing.
no subject
Nobody else needs to get subjected to the chaos here. And I really don't believe in the whole idea of our worlds being eaiten and all.
no subject
It's like they don't...exist.
no subject
[ they're a load of bull, and unreliable. but of course, tadashi's thoughts are far... nicer than that. only ever so slightly. ]
We're better off hacking into CERES' servers and checking what data they're keeping from us than check out the library. Of course they wouldn't give that information away easily.

Hacking? [Korra echoes him, head tilted slightly in confusion.]

no subject
[If it were easy, she's sure people more tech-savvy would have already given it a shot.]
no subject
Some systems are easy to hack into... mostly because their programmers didn't do a lot of work when it comes to security.
no subject
[At this point, she's just defaulting to Tadashi's knowledge, because there's no way she would know any of this on her own.]
no subject
[ he moves around the room to do some work. hopefully, korra doesn't mind that! tadashi still looks every now and then at her, though. it would be disrespectful not to. ]
It's frustrating.
no subject
[She worries at her bottom lip.]
Unless you know someone who can get to them even if it's guarded like that?
no subject
Especially if you don't want to get traced.
no subject
Geez. And I thought the machines we had back home were already complicated. Everything I'm hearing about now is just way beyond anything I ever imagined.
[She pauses.] Do you think you and Hiro working together would make the whole...uh, hacking thing easier? It sounds like he's pretty nifty with technology, too.
no subject
I'd rather not get Hiro get involved in anything dangerous.
no subject
While Hiro's already told her about his team back home, she probably should have wondered if his brother knows about it.]
no subject
Something wrong?
no subject
Uh, it's about Hiro. The stuff he does back home... if you don't know about it yet, you should probably talk to him.
[SORRY, HIRO. Korra's just hoping Tadashi suspects something already, because she sure is feeling guilty about telling him.]
no subject
[ tadashi thinks that hiro's identity as a superhero was more or less a secret. ]
He told me about it... especially after I asked about Baymax's armour. You know I made Baymax to be a robotic nurse, right?
no subject
[Then his words sink in.]
Wait, you made Baymax? I thought, since Hiro showed up with him...
no subject
Yeah. He was a school project that I presented at an expo.
[ before his death, oops. ]
no subject
[A grin starts forming.]
Really squishy-looking, too. I haven't seen any robots like that before. Did you do that on purpose?
