[ In an attempt to cheer people up after the whole Nexus Code fiasco, as well as Vegeta blowing stuff up, the management of the Little Sister cafe has decided to hold a special event! Posted all around the colony are posters which read "♥ TAKE A PHOTO WITH ALL FIVE OF OUR ANIMAL COSPLAYING WAITRESSES AROUND CEREALIA, AND YOU GET A FREE MEAL OF YOUR CHOICE! ♥" There are also some other posters with pictures of Athena, Ai, Rio, Maya, and Peko just so everybody knows what they look like, and below has the same promo written on it.

So come one, come all! Enjoy this little event, and enjoy a delicious free meal at the end of the day ♥! ]

[But maybe that explains some stuff, like why she'd have gone along with date-planning things when she's with someone . . . maybe she hadn't been at the time? That's got to be it. It's not like he's offended either way, but he'd definitely have expected her to mention it before, well, now.]

Did you just hook up or somethin'? Or "maybe" hook up? You never said anythin'!

[ she covers her face from embarrassment because she's never really talked about this with anyone outside her group of girlfriends... it's really weird! ]

W- Well, I like someone, and I think he likes me back? I mean, he hasn't said it, but I know.

[Ohhhh man. That doesn't sound good; Leon winces a little to hear it.]

Oh yeah?

[Okay, that's a little more promising. Leon goes from wincing to grinning. It's no guarantee, though . . . it really depends on the guy! And maybe this isn't his business, but hey, he likes Athena, and he doesn't like players who give players a bad name, so he's got to pry a little into this.]

What kinda guy is he? Like, the quiet shy type? Or is he usually real out there and open?

[ oh man... she blushes a bit, just thinking about what kind of guy simon blackquill is. speaking of, how do you even describe such a man? ]

W- Well, he's nice. [ not the best starter. ] He talks in a weird way, and he's got a twisted sense of humour, and he usually threatens people with violence. He looks really tough, too.

[ wow that sounds like a total gangster. ]

That's your type?! Damn, I really wouldn't've expected that of you!

[Maybe it makes sense, though. Lawyers and violent punks . . . it's like a codependent relationship, right? Or maybe it's just opposites attracting?

She's cute when she blushes, though, and he takes a moment to appreciate that, even if she's probably off-limits if she's got a guy. He ought to ask about that. For now, though, bask in the moment of a cute girl with red cheeks.

What d'you mean he talks weird? Like an accent?

[That "makes sense" in the sense that Leon knows what the words literally mean, but that's about where that ends. He furrows his eyebrows incredulously.]

[His eyes cross, looking at her finger in boggled surprise.]

[ gosh! now she's even more flustered, embarrassed that leon didn't get it. ]

Oh! How the hell was I supposed to know that . . . is that even a thing samurai do? I thought you were usin' your lawyer skills on me! Objection!

[He even points right back at her, mimicking her posture.

. . . You know what? That's kind of weirdly satisfying.]

[ yeah, she takes a quick step back because that was surprising. is she as loud as leon is right now?! ]

W- Wow! You could totally be a lawyer!

[ OBJECTIONS DO NOT A LAWYER MAKE... ]

[He drops the pose immediately, and he's all smiles at the compliment. Acting! It's not like he'd ever actually be a lawyer, but that's cool hearing something like that anyway, right?]

Yeah?! Ha ha, y'think so? Trucy said you guys got an entertainment branch too, I'd be all about that! Not so much the actual lawyering part . . .

Oh, that's right! You can be part of the entertainment branch, too!

You did say you were a model or something. [ here it comes... ] Maybe you can be our mascot!

Mascot?! No way! No way am I mascot material, that's cold!

[OH NO YOU DIDN'T. He goes all flushed and shocked at this terrible insult.]

[ she slaps him on the back. hard. leon seriously needs to get used to athena's jokes... then again, it's difficult to tell when she's joking and when she isn't. ]

[He's attempted to look into this before to figure out the drinking age, which is the only law he finds immediately relevant to him. Except it hasn't been, so far, meaning there proooobably aren't laws here.]

So do you just do the entertainment part or what? Hey, if anyone's gonna be the mascot, it oughta be you! You're so damn cute in that thing!

I'm part of the entertainment branch too! I mean, Trucy can't do her shows on her own, you know.

[ so to answer leon's unspoken question, yes, she does wear other costumes for trucy's sake. ]
