[OPEN] I'm in here
Who: Mary Kozakura (
immobileyes) and YOU
When: IC 2/27-3/01
Where: Residential District, right by the not-so-standing apartments
What: Mary tries to dig up things from her fallen apartment over the course of a few days, success is varied
Rating/Warning: None!
[ It was hard enough, waiting for the water level to go down enough so that Mary could return to where her apartment was (had been) without risk of drowning. Seto's hoodie, the jacket Hiro had given her... they were the only things she'd been able to find at the time, but now she can search for anything remaining from their apartment.
So feel free to come across a tiny teenager over the afore-mentioned days, getting drizzled on and trying to pry up pieces of the smaller rubble - and HNNNNNGHing at the bigger pieces of debris that she can't budge at all - as she hunts about. The stuffed animal she'd received from Lily is gone, the headband from Kaoru and Shiho has been twisted and bent beyond repair when she miraculously finds that... the dried flowers, from the bouquet Elza had given her... no sign of them. All of her tea...
Mary almost wants to cry, but not yet. She just keeps looking.
And don't be alarmed if she seems worn-out when you see her. It's not some weird elemental effect, she's just terrible at stamina. ]

... Thanks for helping me.

... It's no problem. I just want to do something.

[ Yes. Sometimes they try to shove you in bags. ]
And there's a lot they probably have to do, too.

[And sometimes, thefts and murder get involved.]
And they probably do. But... there are still some who might be nice enough to help.
["Nice enough". They won't immediately remove his distrust in them, but it's enough for Sayo to try and give them a chance.]

[ Well. Yes, here he is, and she's certainly grateful for it! ]

[Awkward. How to deal with this. He looks away from her and back at the smaller debris. Um, uM.]
What kind of things are you looking for? Your belongings.

[Imagine the water damage to the poor pages. Sayo's moving the debris away, shifting them to the side and sometimes, throwing a piece away (and no, not in Mary's direction, he's not that rude). Let's see what's the first item they can find here...
(your call)]

Ah, hold on--
[ There's a book! Apparently supposed to be crimson, but now it's more like... muddy rust. ]
no subject
Hm? [And he notice it. Sayo quickens his pace, pulling the book out from the rubble and brushing off most of the damp dirt off the front cover.] Is this yours?

[ FAIRY TALES COLLECTION VOLUME THREE...! ]
no subject
[That they found it. Encouraged by this, Sayo seems to be... smiling a little.]
That means we might find others around here. [WORTH A TRY.]

[ For helping her find something so precious. ]
no subject
... You're welcomed. I'll keep looking for your things.
no subject
Me too! I think we're close to finding a lot of it.
[ Or she's... just hopeful. ]
no subject
Alright. Let's keep going.
[If he find something, he can always ask her if it's her things.]
(OOC: Continue or wrap it up?)
