[Dotanuki is so tolerant of Kashuu's... lack of helpfulness... What a pal!!

But he'll trail after curiously, of course, because "stuff from work" means delicious fried pastries and he's always down for a helping of that, honestly. Who knew donuts were so delicious?? Not even being attacked by one in ViViD could put him off forever.]

Sure! [He'll pick out whichever one has the brightest frosting or cutest design, predictably. And then, because he isn't a completely mannerless swine:] Thaaank you! [...] What's in the other bag?

[He's more just used to it by now...

After putting the other bag down, he starts pulling tubs of ice cream out, packing them into the freezer.]

Gotta restock what I ate so that kid who climbs through the window doesn't get mad. Picked up some for us, too.

[Wow, Dotanuki is so thoughtful! If Kashuu ever ate someone else's food (not that he has or anything), he'd probably just foist the blame off on someone else... Picking up one of the ice cream tubs to look over it!]

Dotanuki is about to put the last two tubs in, but he checks them and decides to leave one out: Rainbow Sherbet. That sounds like something Kashuu would like. It's neon colored. That's good, right?

He takes out a couple of spoons and hands one to Kashuu.]

[Rainbow sherbet... Just the picture on the front looks appealing, honestly. Dotanuki is right to pick the one that's neon colored.

He'll waste no time in popping the lid off and peeling the layer of protective paper away, and miraculously the inside of the tub actually looks like the picture on the outside! Kashuu is suitably impressed.]

Wow! It's super bright! ...Is it really okay to eat something this color?

[He knows his comrades well.

Dotanuki leans against the counter and shrugs.]

You eat those colors on the donut, so why not?

[Aka he hasn't died from eating it, so it must be okay. Or he has an iron stomach. One or the other. Also, he's glad he can finally introduce Kashuu to something new for once!!! Ice Cream Sensei is his new name.]

Yeah, but donuts kinda have a normal color underneath all the bright ones sometimes. [Sometimes... Well, neon-colored fillings aren't really normal, either. ANYWAY!! He'll dig his spoon that Ice Cream Sensei so generously provided him with into the tub, managing to fish out a fairly decent scoop to try.

[Point taken. He isn't sure why anyone would eat anything with these colors, but he figured one of the other swords might like it so he brought it back.

Ha! That reaction means he was right, too. He doesn't smile, but the self-satisfaction almost radiates off him. Donut did good!!!!]

[Donut did do good, gold star for Donut!! Except Kashuu isn't the one with the stickers so he'll just have to be satisfied with this clearly pleased reaction.]

I totally will! Wow... [PAUSING to take another bite. Miraculously he hasn't gotten mouthfreeze yet, but at the rate he's going, that's inevitable...] Hey, hey, what's your favorite kind? They're all different, yeah?

Favorite? I dunno. Never really thought about havin' a favorite.

[He just eats what's there and buys what's available. Honestly, he just likes it because it's sweet, but not as much as the donuts.]

Ooh, it's some sort of minty thing? They really like mint-flavored stuff here, don't they?

If it isn't tea, then it's probably mint, yeah. Dunno why you'd want to eat what you put on your teeth, but humans are weird. They'll eat cows but not horses, and they get all mad now if you eat rabbits.

[Honestly, humans!!! He has no idea why they're like that and why they want to eat potentially toothpaste flavored food, but eh, whacha gonna do.]

They do? [Kashuu wouldn't eat a rabbit if he had to prepare it himself because they're so dang cute, but he doesn't understand why people would get mad about it!! It's a perfectly good source of protein!]

Have you tried the mint kind yet? If not, you should grab a spoon.

[Dotanuki will eat anything, literally anything if someone cooks it. He has no idea why people don't eat it though because protein is protein!!]

It might. [But he's got his spoon ready anyway so clearly he's not that deterred?!] But some of the mint stuff tastes good, yeah? Usually it's that spearmint stuff that tastes funny.

Anyway, time to do this!!! If it's awful, he'll probably feed it to one of the swords with messed up taste buds. Or the kid who makes ice, who the ice cream is technically always kept for anyway. One of the two.

Dotanuki takes a spoonful, then passes it back to Kashuu.]

I haven't really eaten a lot of it. Been sticking to things I can carry with me easily.

[Like beef jerky and trail mix. He eyes the green concoction on his spoon, then sticks it in his mouth.

WTF IS THIS. He isn't sure if it's good or a foul being from the black lagoon, and makes a face accordingly.]

Spearmint's no good, but I'll find you some minty stuff to try that you can carry around.

[Because a sword shouldn't just exist off of beef jerky and trail mix okay, no matter how good they are...

BUT WHAT KIND OF REACTION IS THAT. Kashuu, who still hasn't eaten his spoonful yet, glances down at it warily.]

Is it, like... good? Toothpaste-y? [He should probably just try his own BUT HE'S CONCERNED. It takes him a couple of seconds to actually pop his spoon into his mouth, but when he does, he's pleasantly surprised! Compared to spearmint, this is definitely mint-mint and not bad at all.]

Oooh! That's pretty good, isn't it?

[Is that what "good" is? Because he can't really tell. It's sweet - sweeter than he'd though it would be. And it's...fresh? He has no idea what the hell he just stuck in his mouth. He pulls the ice cream off the spoon, finishing it off, then stares at the spoon like it just betrayed his family and he must seek revenge.]

I dunno. You like it? Tastes weird to me.

[Kashuu sure doesn't seem mad at it, if nothing else. He even goes in for another spoonful because it's so nice and refreshing and doesn't toe the border of dental care!]

It's nice. I mean yeah, it's kinda weird, but it's like - it kinda wakes you up, right? Between the cold and the flavor.

Rather just eat toothpaste.

[Because he tried that once, when he first awakened and it was gross, but not that bad. He stares at the package dubiously, then sticks his spoon back in his mouth.

Time to get something to take the mint flavor away!

He grabs the box of Rocky Road he usually hides in the back and pulls the top off, taking a spoonful of that to wash the mint away.]

[DONUT?? Kashuu gives him a look like ugh I forgot you were a weirdo... But he's distracted pretty quickly because that looks like a special hidden box back there!! What's going on with this ice cream! He leans forward a little, still holding onto the mint container.]
