Those lines about driving your car were quite invigorating, though, I must admit. [He leans in closer to settle a hand on England's shoulder, casting a teasing smile towards him. A performance just for your favorite Eliatrope??
also the only eliatrope here, but details, details.]no subject
You liked that one, eh? The band who originally did it is one of my favorites.

[Admittedly, sometimes Chibi wonders just how much culture, how much of their music and art might have been wiped out from the first Exodus. How much of their hearts were left behind on their homeworld, now lost to stasis and flame? How much of their People's soul is crystallized upon those shores?]
[Half of him wants to voice it aloud, but the other half decides against it. That secret's one too dear to be disclosed to anyone, not even most fellow Eliatropes.]
We were quite the partiers, though, lest you doubt that. But I think that's common to most societies.

seducetake things further...?]What about you? [he narrows his eyes. suggestive? yes. definitely yes] Do you party?
no subject
Me? Well... [The nuance isn't lost on him, and it shows in how his body relaxes, feet apart, taking confident posture.] I've not really had a chance to go all-out in a long time, but I dance some. And I could still drink anyone here under the table.
[In more than one sense, probably.]
no subject
he sits up now, amused] What's your poison?
no subject
Old ale or vermouth, when I'm taking it easy. [A little grin. With his stature, it's easy to see a few beers would go down pretty easily.] And when I'm not... Ah, what would be the word for it here? We had a liquor made from coconut sap, which is good alone, but exceptional with some lime juice. Kind of woody and floral-tasting, fresh, bit of vanilla to it.
And yourself, if I may be so bold to ask? [Not that he's shy; his tone shows he's anything but.]
no subject
Mostly beer. Can't drink too much of it. [otherwise, he becomes... unruly. and not in a good way. that's definitely something England doesn't want Chibi to see] But I love a good ale. [he rests his chin in his hand, feeling homesick for his pubs] ...There was a really nice restaurant here, which served food that was like my own. It had some good beer. If it's not flooded out, we should go sometime.
no subject
[But that is then, and this is now, and he has trained himself to focus on the present and the future.]
No tolerance, eh? [He's only teasing a little!] That's alright. If you remember what the place was called, let me know and I'll see, yeah? We can make it a date.
no subject
I believe it was called the CERES Bulldog, and it was in the shopping district. It's what we call a pub back in my world.
no subject
A pub... I'll let you know if it's open next time I pass by. [And on a whim, Chibi presses a little kiss to England's cheek: quick enough nobody will see, quick enough England might miss it if he blinks.] And I'll look forward to tasting food from your home.
no subject
enough about CERES, though, because England earned a kiss! and he's torn between being grateful for it being short, because they are in public, but also disappointed. the blush spreads across his cheeks, but he manages to keep relaxed enough, to give Chibi a fond smile]
Great. [he's a bit too flustered to think of anything else to say, and he could have thought of so many clever lines to reply to that. but yes! a date! and he's happy about that. awkwardly, he adds] I'm... just going to run back and get some more water. Maybe by that time, they'll be ready to announce the winner...
no subject
[Now's the time for him to take his leave, and check out the rest of this little event while England collects himself.]
I'll be in touch, then. [And with a little wave, he's off, walking normally for a way and then leaping into a portal. True to his word, he'll be in touch soon...]
no subject
and what a way to travel, huh? portals! that is so cool. his grin is kind of... dopey as he watches Chibi walk off. he finally seems to notice and quickly wipes it off his face before ducking off toward the stage again.
every now and then, England'll want to thank CERES for bringing him here. but then he remembers how awful CERES is, so he considers thanking something else...]
Until then.
