Today is the big day to put your mouth where your money is! Or something like that. Welcome to the first ever (??) Charity Event! Remember that it isn’t about winning, it’s about making the world you’re in now a better place until you leave!

Signups are still a thing, so hop on in! Spectators are welcomed! Voting for events will be hosted in this post, where comments will be screened.

Haaa--!!!

[ His forced reaction wasn't unexpected, and as her sword is deflected by his bow, Ryuko throws a piece of Archer's red cloak towards his face. It appears she, too, had been formulating a plan while she was circling the arena at full speed.

Following that, whether the shroud creates a blind spot or not, she curls up her fist and moves in to punch him, full-force! Archer's swords may be back, but that's no reason to quit pressing with the offensive for now. ]

[Honestly, he had been expecting a sword thrust through the cloak. Which meant his timing was quite a bit off. Rather than being able to block again, he had to simply absorb it and find himself slamming into the ground. He wasn't going to let a followup happen, even if his swords were out of his control at this moment. Instead, he rolled along the ground and hopped again, trying to give himself a little bit of distance, pelting his own landing point with more arrows.]

Have withstood pain to create many weapons.

[dishonorstudent]

[ Since she's not currently in flight mode, she allows gravity to bring her down on the ground, landing firmly on her feet as her heels click, not unlike the Kiryuin's. He's been chanting this stupid thing for a while now... ]

Withstood my punch, huh? Not bad.

[ A normal human would have lost their head by now, but she knows her opponent is more than that. ]

[If she won't make a move, he doesn't see a need either. Instead, he just dispels his bow and holds out his hand.]

For someone like me, who can turn a 1% chance of victory into a 99% chance, surviving is fairly simple.

[Shrugging.]

Yet, those hands will never hold anything.

Hate to tell ya, but numbers don't mean crap when it comes to Senketsu and I! Now you gonna come fight me like a man or just make me chase ya all over this damn game!?

[swordboning]

Who knows if you'll regret those words. But take heart in the fact that I'm going to show you my true ability.

So, as I pray. Unlimited Blade Works!

[Which, as a spell, Ryuko probably wasn't familiar with. But with a ring of fire surrounding them, they were translated elsewhere. Namely, Archer's inner world, a desolate hill in a wasteland that he stood upon, the area filled with swords. An uncountable number of them. The air was filled with the refuse of a forge, the gears in the sky and horizon spinning to fuel it.]

This is my world.

Bleak and full of nothing - kinda suits ya.

So what's the deal with the change of scenery? Homeground advantage?

[swordboning]

Something like that. You see, I don't create weapons from scratch unless its my first time seeing them. Instead, I pull them from here. Everything I'll ever need is within arm's reach and fully under my control.

[Just to emphasize his point, the lone scissor-blade that he had taken a lot of effort to create last time flies out of its spot in the ground and into his hand, which he points at Ryuko.]

Speed won't work to your advantage here.

[What with swords literally everywhere, in the way.]

Ya think speed's my only trick? --And quit makin' my dad's blade! When you hold it, it makes me feel sick...

[swordboning]

Don't put sentimental value on weapons. Especially when you plan on using one to draw blood in the first place.

[dishonorstudent]

Hmph, says the guy who makes 'em as lame gifts. [ She had seen the sword in Simon's room, not to mention the paperweight that Archer made for her. ] It doesn't matter... you ready to go or what?

[swordboning]

[He gestured with his finger upwards and thirty swords raised themselves from the ground, along with the one in his hand. Their direction oriented at Ryuko, of course.]

Only if you are.

[Rather than wait for an answer he flicked the same finger forward and every single one of them glowed brightly before shooting where they were targeted.]

[dishonorstudent]

[ Ryuko is running to the side as she's dodging the wave of blades one by one. They did get a little faster, but she has no idea what Archer has in mind with his opening move. ]

So that's his big trick?!

(( Senketsu: I'd be careful, Ryuko. You don't know what else he can do here. ))

Quit worrying already!

[swordboning]

[It's a cheap trick but the swords in the ground are already keeping themselves in the way of her feet. It wasn't as if they were moving spots as much as they were...already there. She'd have to watch where she was stepping or else get her foot caught on a blade's guard or someplace worse.

Still, he was readying himself for her approach while she dodged, plucking two random swords beside himself from the ground.]

[ Unfortunately she doesn't quite watch herself, being inside this new unfamiliar dimension and all, so she ends up tripping just as one would expect. Why are these so many damn swords here?! ]

[swordboning]

[Archer didn't hesitate to take advantage of that, five more swords flying in where she had stumbled. Of course, all the more infuriating, but he hadn't moved an inch nor did he care to actually charge at her. He just kept his stance, swords in hand and waiting.]

[dishonorstudent]

[ A lot of his initial swords end up hitting her, but she manages to fight through the pain and deflect the five new ones with her scissor blade, breathing heavily as she anticipates more to come. ]

He can't fight us from up-close, if I can only get there...

[swordboning]

[She was at least right to anticipate more. Because more was always coming.

And Archer gave up close combat, this time creating his bow and pulling a black sword from the ground and drawing it back. It exploded with red energy as Archer took his time charging it up.]

Grr--!!

[ The swords alone are keeping Ryuko busy, constantly having to deflect them as she slowly inches closer, but still so far away from Archer. Her opponent definitely has ample time to charge it up for now. ]

There's too many of 'em!

[swordboning]

[He was sure she had plenty of more power in reserve. Which was why he wasn't holding back. But she might just have to unleash it right now.

Because he shot the sword from his bow. It turned into a red bullet, streaking towards Ryuko. The real danger behind it was the fact that it was moving at a flat Mach 10. In sheer speed, it was the fastest weapon in his arsenal and physics were definitely in play.]

[ The chances of her dodging it are practically zero, and even if it takes a certain type of material to cut through Life Fibers, the speed alone is enough to force a hole through her abdomen. For all her toughness and regen powers, that still hurt. Once that happens, everything else gets out of control and she's unable to deflect the rest of Archer's other swords, ultimately burying her in a pile of sharp metal until there's no signs of life from underneath. ]

[ It's a brief moment of silence, but the pile of swords suddenly begins to glitter more and more until a blinding explosion scatters them in every direction to the chorus of Before My Body Is Dry. ]

Graaaaahhhhh!!!!!!!!

[swordboning]

[Archer wasn't entirely done but it definitely looked like she was finally getting serious. But the arrow actually shot directly back into his hands. If he had the distance, he'd start charging it again but the time would be longer. He doubted he had twenty seconds to get it off.

Instead, three massive swords appear in the air, hovering by his head. The kind that would best be described as ship cleaving.]

It took you long enough.

[The barrage had stopped after the explosion, only to be followed by those three swords.]

You think I'll just let you step all over me?! My friends??

[ Let it be known that Ryuko holds grudges for a long time, and Archer has had it coming ever since he made Athena and Ai cry at the Winter Ball. More than that, he's undermined Ryuko at every turn... calling her weak and stupid - it's these feelings that fuel her to keep fighting. Every time she comes close to death, she bounces back stronger thanks to the Life Fibers within her, so she'll bear the pain until she finally proves herself. Nothing short of a victory or draw will make her forgive him for having to be the better man because Athena always asked her to.

That said, when the giant swords are all headed for her, Ryuko activates the Farewell Address Mode of her Scissor Blade, turning it into an an equally monstrous size that she's able to wield and fight back against Archer's swords. ]

[His eyebrows just dropped, honestly not knowing where she was going with that. Then again, he always approached things from a completely opposite direction that she did.

All said and done, though, that kind of power was hard to contain and reality was already eating away at his projection on the world. The gears in the background came to a grinding stop and everything started eroding away.

With one last effort from this world, he created his two favored blades again as they were dropped back onto the stage the started in, pristine and clean. But that didn't mean he was done yet.]

Our strength rips the mountains, our swords split the water!

[He poured mana into his two swords and they glowed and expanded in his hands, becoming something far more barbaric, if beautiful in the feathers of mana floating around them.]
