Today is the big day to put your mouth where your money is! Or something like that. Welcome to the first ever (??) Charity Event! Remember that it isn’t about winning, it’s about making the world you’re in now a better place until you leave!

Signups are still a thing, so hop on in! Spectators are welcomed! Voting for events will be hosted in this post, where comments will be screened.

[ well, rin can empathize with the lack of breathing that occurs while shoved into a dress. again, it's not a memory he had any particular desire to relive, but his wince on zack's behalf is genuine. ]

alright, he's being a bit harsh, but - did zack expect an honest answer? really?

[He gives Rin a mock frown, and places the flowercrown back on his head. They deserve at least as much from being thrown around so much--or so he'd imagine certain people saying, and it's a small comfort.]

I'll have you know I've been told my smile is worth at least that all by itself.

[He doesn't believe it, but he doesn't put much stock in it either: charity is charity, and he doesn't really mind. But this had been Rin's idea (if not his, then whose?), and he deserves at least a little mock grief for it, right? He tries to bat his eyelashes coyly, and just ends up cracking up halfway through.

Fine, so maybe the almost-failing grade is worth it.]

[ yes, rin is now comfortable enough around zack to sink to the level of 'your mom' jokes. this is worthy of a steam achievement. +1 in friendship level.

also, batting his eyelashes? definitely not zack's look. especially with the insertion of raucous laughter. rin might have to subtract a point just for that little show.

and he's still not copping to this whole thing being his idea, though. if zack wants to pry that bit of information from him, it's going to come at great cost. these teeth aren't just for show, alright. ]

[He tries to bite back the groan at that: yes, in fact, his mother had told him that on occasion, usually with a warning attached, before he'd up and left. Rin's tone is hyperbolic; he'd like to keep it that way.]

Look, I have it on plenty of authority. And who'd sign up for this if they didn't, huh?

[He doesn't need to pry. The inkling is enough.]

I'd taken you for a guy who knows a winner when he sees one, but I guess if that's not true...
