We Built This City
Who: EVERYONE, literally everyone
When: THE ENTIRE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER. This can take place any time from IC 2/28 to 3/16.
Where: ALL OF THE COLONY
What: The log to go along with the reconstruction player plot! Everyone is still welcome to join in, even if they had no prior knowledge of this.
Rating/Warning: shouldn't be anything to warn for! please poke me if this changes
[Not too long ago, a monstrous tsunami toppled the colony of Cerealia and left the city in ruins. Today…. the city is still in ruins. Watch your step! Hopefully you weren’t headed anywhere important today because--]
You there! Where do you think you’re going?!
[-- you’re about to be dragged into something much bigger than getting a sandwich or your CyBuddy’s hair appointment.
You’ve been spotted by Natalia and you are about to get an earful.]
Once Natalia gives the spiel to whatever poor bystander was walking about, they’re given a hardhat along with their instructions. Then they’re set off to work and they have quite the range of places that they can see to attend to.

Once Natalia gives the spiel to whatever poor bystander was walking about, they’re given a hardhat along with their instructions. Then they’re set off to work and they have quite the range of places that they can see to attend to.
I » THE RUBBLE The Residential District took the hardest toll after the tsunami. Where a block of apartments once stood, there’s now only rubble and ruin – as well as fallen pieces of the platform that had just added salt to the wound. Those in this area will be given face masks as well, to accommodate for the dust, and are tasked with moving the rubble over to a sectioned off area that will be considered a new scrapyard. Take a look at the fallen tech if you’d like, just be careful not to exhaust yourselves too much!
II » THE SCHOOL Plenty of the water has receded from the school area, but it would appear that the remains of flooding are still in effect. Try not to turn the halls into a slip and slide just yet! Even though the whiteboards beg to be written on, you’re obviously here to do work…. right? Well, there’s probably something about visiting a school that can make people itch to feel young again anyway.
III » THE APARTMENTS What apartments remained have a high chance of dealing with water damage, especially those on the bottom flowers. They’re just begging to be revamped. Maybe you even find an empty one that you like and decide to claim it for yourself! Aside from that, Natalia’s left paints upon paints for a mural on the outside of the building if you feel like doing some benevolent vandalism. Please don’t draw any genitalia.
IV » THE SKYBRIDGES High above the city, others are still put to work. The standing building in the residential district (and those that are eventually rebuilt) need a more convenient way of movement, Natalia’s decided. So here’s where people are building sky bridges to connect the apartments – but for the love of god, watch your step up there or else we’ll be dealing with cleaning you up off the cement too.
V » THE GYM The once magnificent place forGAINS and and PROTEIN and BROSEPHShoning one’s strength and maintaining the temple of one’s body unfortunately caved in during the disaster. Entirely. The place is another pile of rubble and rock, but if nothing else, exercise equipment has been ordered and people who hopefully know their way around a gym have been placed in charge of restoring the gym to its former glory. It’s like its own workout just to fix it!
VI » THE SANCTUARY Hidden away in the Residential District, there’s a new, nondescript building. Upon even stepping into the premises, you’re asked to leave your CereVice at the door. However once you’re determined unbugged by CERES, there’s much hustle and bustle in here. Wire work is being done to maintain generators, tests are being run, and then there are some people making sure that the curtains match the color scheme of the couches. At least there’s apparently a buffet provided inside for all volunteers! Chill during your break time. You’ve earned it.

[It'd be even cuter with a maid outfit . . . though he's still not sure how old she is. Oh well. As far as flirting goes, this is innocent enough, and it's all true, in his eyes. The world according to Leon. He glances over at the door, though . . . ]
Am I interruptin' you?
no subject
Not yet. [ SUCH HONESTY. ] Would you like a cup, though?
no subject
[He's not the biggest tea fan, though he doesn't dislike it--but whatever it is he's drinking, it's a good excuse for company. Just sitting there drinking alone doesn't sound like the best time, even when it's not alcoholic.
Also, she looks like she might need it.]
You okay? You're still kinda shaken up, huh?

[He sits down next to her . . . carefully. He'd normally just fling himself onto the couch, which is one of his favorite things to do after a long day, but he's got hot tea in his hand and they've already had one close call tonight! He sets the bowl of shrimp aside on the table, finally freeing it back into the ocean of people who probably also want to eat it.]
Man, I'm beat! I haven't worked like that in . . . uh . . . maybe ever?
no subject
[ Or intimidating, maybe. This apparently surprises her, as her fingers flex around her own cup. ]
no subject
[At least it's not for him, because he's a lucky asshole. He does look strong and well-muscled, despite his complaining about just mopping some floors . . . ]
Cleaning's way more tiring! Probably 'cuz it's so boring. And it's not like I really practice my pitching anyway, 'cuz that's boring too.
no subject
[ Now is your time to brag, Leon. ]
no subject
Well, yeah, 'course it is! I'm the best in Japan! It's not just my aim, either! Aim's pretty easy . . . ah, but all of it's pretty easy, actually. Like, it's cool and all, but it ain't as hard as people make it out to be!
no subject
[ Her aim is only good when she's not aiming at all, sad to say. ]
no subject
[Doesn't everyone? Okay, he knows that's not necessarily true, though sometimes he has to consciously remind himself.]
no subject
[ SHE IS NOT A SHSL ANYTHING. ]
no subject
[He's slowly getting a picture of her. Super adorable, jumpy, noodle arms, teacups, books. Yep, it all adds up.]
no subject
Mm, I wasn't allowed outside for a long time, and then I just... stayed in, after that. [ She sucks at the great outdoors. ]
no subject
[He can't even imagine it. He's an outdoors type himself, but even he had his days of annoying his parents in the house so much that they yelled at him to go play outside--or, more recently, slacking off too much. Being forced inside is a weird thought.
Maybe she's had a hard life . . . ouch.]
no subject
It was just me and my mother, and she didn't want me to go out, because it was dangerous. And the one time I didn't listen, she...
... I lost her.
[ IT'S A BIT OF A HEAVY STORY. ]
no subject
Uh, sorry . . . I didn't think it'd be like that.
[He's tense with the topic, but after a moment he reaches out to pat her on the shoulder.]
no subject
But that's why.
no subject
Yeah, got it . . . sorry. So after that you never got in the habit, huh? I guess that explains some stuff about you.
no subject
[ Give her time, Leon, she'll accept your totally platonic touches one day. ]
no subject
[But unlike Mary, he can't handle that sort of thing; he goes crazy if he's alone or inside too long, and makes a little face at the memory.]
But when stuff got wrecked it kinda changed that, anyway. I mean, except for those few days where it was raining so hard you couldn't even really go outside anyway. That sucked!
no subject
[ She wasn't the best swimmer, anyway. ]
no subject
[This time he reaches out to tweak at the very end of her hair, near the back, curiously. Heh.]
no subject
[ At least this time her hair doesn't move on its own, but she does peer up at him. Hey, now. ]
no subject
[He tugs his hand back.]
It was callin' to me . . . you don't see a girl with that much hair that often!
