[ Welcome to the Little Sister Cosplay Cafe! Athena's rented the whole place (thanks for paying, Phoenix!) to celebrate her birthday, so there's a big signage outside in chalk which reads "De-stress party! Come inside!" So basically, anybody who checks the network should know what it means.

Upon entering, one will spot a bright yellow dessert buffet table, decorated with all sorts of yummy goodies that you can think of! It's a cafe, after all. The desserts are good.

When Athena spots you, she'll immediately bow and say "Welcome to the Little Sister!" and despite this being her party, you may find that she's the only one still in cosplay. Of course she can't ask her other coworkers to get dressed and serve anybody who comes by - they need some de-stressing, too! So it's just her as everybody's waitress and hostess for the day.

By one of the corners is a karaoke machine, and each table already has a menu on top of it. Feel free to order whatever you want! There's a wide selection of American, Italian, and Japanese cuisine, as well as some French desserts - although some are already laid out at the buffet table.

Come on, Cerealia! De-stress and cheer up again! ]

[ It doesn't offend her as much as it should. Athena could be secretly perverted, too, like Mako, but it still makes her jump up a little -- especially with those grabby hands WHY ]

We never wear long skirts here in the cafe.

Come on, I'll take you to where the costumes are.

[ BUT SHE DIDN'T AGREE TO THIS-- ]

Lemme guess, my choices are between sexy nurse, sexy maid or sexy pirate?

[ she pouts. ]

What? I was thinking we could match.

[ and she spins, and at the end of it all, she flashes a peace sign at ryuko. ]

[ this... is totally appealing to ryuko's weakness; which is doing things together because of her deep-seated fears about not belonging anywhere ]

Ha, and what if Senketsu gets jealous?

[ he's a fairly short skirt, too... ]

We'll just have to cover his eyes.

[ Somewhere from the coat stand in the corner of the room, a certain uniform's lapels are burning. Figuratively speaking. ]

[ into the wardrobe! ryuko may find that there's an excessive amount of maid costumes, all different styles, as well as some others. ryuko's seen athena in a pirate outfit before, too! so that costume is somewhere in hangers, too.

athena pulls a kimono out, showing it to ryuko. ]

[ Admittedly, it's not as bad as she feared it would look. Still, she takes it and holds it up in front of her, kind of appraising it. ]

Can't go wrong with black, huh? What made ya wanna go for a Japanese theme anyway?

[ isn't she the smartest. ]

[ She starts getting changed in front of Athena, feel free to turn away but there's really no point once you've seen Ryuko in battle. ]

Wait, so it had nothing to do with my background or Simon's weird fascination with Japanese culture?

Nope!

[ WE'RE ALL GIRLS HERE no reason not to look away, anyway. ]

[ A few minutes later, Ryuko is awkwardly posing in front of a mirror. She looks natural, but can't seem to act that way at all.

And that dress sure is short... ]

Eh... h-how do I look?

[ SENKETSU IS WORSE, SHUT UP RYUKO ]

Bonita! You should totally work here!

[ Is this a recruitment attempt..... ]

Tonight might be an exception, but I really don't see how serving others could sit well with me.

[ Cue a comical mental image of half the customers lying in a pool of blood for being too perverted or rude. ]

It would be problematic, ya see?

... Ah, I guess it might be a bad idea.

[ A brief second of silence fills the room as the girls stand in front of each other in their matching kimonos. It's fun moments like these that external forces threaten to take away, no matter what their intentions. Ryuko isn't on CERES, Mosley or Ardeo's side - it's always been on Athena's. ]

I'm sorry for gettin' mad the other day.

[psycholawgy]

[ oh, well... that's that. athena didn't even have to bring it up, even though she was going to later on. ]

It's okay. You mean well, all the time.

[dishonorstudent]

[ There she goes again, forgiving someone so easily, and yet if she weren't this way then they probably wouldn't even be friends now. That very attribute of Athena that constantly makes Ryuko worry about her, sometimes even frustrates her, is also something she greatly admires about the girl, and a pillar of their lasting friendship.

It's this incomprehensible duality that makes them kindred spirits. ]

So do you, more than I do probably.

Hey, how about we go to the movies this week?
