[ upon kogami's suggestion, akane's taken it upon herself to find a suitable (ha ha) way of celebrating her 23rd birthday! she found the chilling cave by coincidence while patrolling the streets once and decided that she wants to try ice skating.

so after texting the guys (brother, mom, and dad), as well as a couple of friends (really, it's just a couple. she doesn't have much friends) if they're free on the 17th, she waits outside the chilling cave, hoping to meet up with her friends.

I somehow ended up there when I arrived. It wasn't my first choice of landing.

When I arrived, we were brought to a haunted hospital.

[ she presses something on her watch and a small holographic screen appears before akane. she flicks through some files as she asks: ]

[ and yes, she did sneeze. :( sucks when you're pure of heart. ]

I... haven't, no. [ Pressing a palm to her cheek-- ] No one even mentioned it.

Then I think you should start with this...

[ she switches off her watch (for now) and brings out her cerevice. she's shaking a little bit because of the cold, NOT BECAUSE SHE'S SICK, MOM!!! after a couple seconds of button pressing, akane shows this particular video to otome. ]

[mombastic]

[ She's about to ask if maybe they ought to take this outside, if it's too cold in here-- but then her attention's arrested by the video, and her breath is drawn in sharply. ]

O-oh.

[ That's a bit... upsetting. ]

[ akane waits until otome seems to be out of her daze to speak again. ]

Yes... it's just never pleasant, seeing bodies. [ Not for a doctor who was invested in saving lives, anyway. ]

[condoner]

[ oh is this why you don't want to be a coroner??? is that it???????? ]

I had a difficult time when I first started working for the MWPSB, too. Seeing bodies get shot... and seeing so much blood on the ground.

But I eventually got used to it.

[mombastic]

[ You get sick of bodies when you've seen the world get almost destroyed twice!! ]

That's something I wish no one had to get used to...

It's reality, I suppose.

[ accompanied by sheepish laughter. this is awkward for her, too! ]

That's true... are there a lot of murder cases here?

What we work on are usually cases of missing items and the like.

During my arrival, we found pieces of paper that was apparently a letter written by Bellona Recreare herself. We don't know who it's for, yet, but she mentioned that Julius Vincere isn't dead.
