no objections to parties
Who: The Ace Attorney cast + CR!
When: 4/19, afternoon and evening
Where: The function room of some restaurant in the Shopping District
What: Phoenix Wright, Miles Edgeworth, Klavier Gavin and Ema Skye are celebrating their birthdays in one big bash with all their friends.
Rating/Warning: Nobody’s getting murdered, so just Ace Attorney ridiculousness.
[ It was by sheer coincidence that the month of April had so many birthdays from people from the same world. Which meant that the best solution was to have the largest birthday party of all birthday parties. Or so was Klavier’s thinking. He knew that some part of the population was plagued with some weird disease that caused headache and fever, so the celebration was relatively low key.
But low key for Klavier would still be considered extravagant for others. He took the liberty of renting out a large room in one of Cerealia’s many restaurants and sent an invite to everyone who he could think of was in Cerealia and encouraged them to invite their friends. The more the merrier, as he said.
Because all of the people celebrating had some connection with the law, there was thus an appropriate cake. There was some confusion with the food because instead of ramen and burgers, there were ramen burgers instead being served on trays by waiters. Plus the drinks were unusually glimmerous, to say the least (but non alcoholic, of course.)
Aside from the food, there was music and even a piano in the back in case some people wanted to play. A gift table was set up so that people could leave their gifts, but good luck trying to find it. ]
(( this is an open log so please feel free to make top levels for your characters! if your character knows any of the ace attorney people even by the slightest smidgen, chances are they were invited. or you can gatecrash and nobody would be able to tell. or klavier accidentally texted the wrong number and they got invited. ))

It could be. But in this case, I'd say the day is more foolish than weird....

[It's not as much of a thing in Japan as it is in Japanifornia, but it's not like it's not a thing at all. Aha! Mystery solved! Probably.]
—Dude, why're you proud of that?
[That's a different mystery.]

You got it!
...And, well, being proud of it sure beats being depressed about it, right?

[On the other hand, something about this guy invites comments about it. Leon leans back when he's pointed at, offended.]
Don't just do that! . . . Did you seriously eat a ramen burger for your birthday? I wouldn't've expected that of you. But I want in on it! I've never had one!
[He could have by now if he weren't avoiding the party, but now he's already talking to Trucy's Dad anyway.]

As for a ramen burger? I haven't touched one in my entire life, and I never will.
These are more for the benefit of certain other guests. But feel free to get in on it! Expand your horizons, Mr. Kuwata.

[Splitting food with someone's dad is probably even more uncool than being seen talking to him or attending his birthday. He knows this. But now he's kind of curious to get him to try it. Live a little, man!]

Are you sure you don't want to keep all of that... um, new experiencing to yourself?
no subject
[As if eating ramen is the same as using ramen as a burger bun. But hey, live a little! Now he's not going to pass up the opportunity to needle Trucy's Dad some.]

[HE'S ACTUALLY CURIOUS FOR REAL TOO. What a great question that he is proud of because it could be either an insult or like a scientific case study. Nailed it!]
no subject
[I'm not even sure if I used that saying correctly... But I'll take that as proof that I'm not really that old yet!]
So you want proof, Mr. Kuwata? Is that it?
no subject
[THAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU GET OLD.]
How're you gonna prove it? Sure, lay it on me!
[Is this really a good idea? The likelihood of embarrassment here seems very high. Leon's already approaching max likelihood of being overseen and overheard in this conversation with Trucy's Dad on his birthday at his party and he is probably not ever going to live that down . . . though no one here seems to care, for some weird reason?]
no subject
If it will really satisfy you, Mr. Kuwata...
[He reaches for the burger, and he tentatively goes to take a bite...]
no subject
[WHY IS HE SO INVESTED IN THIS? This got away from him, somewhere. But it's kinda fun bullying him into trying it . . .
You've got a captive audience, Trucy's Dad.]

[THAT'S AN OLD DUDE THING, RIGHT? He's taking some glee in this now, man.]
