no objections to parties
Who: The Ace Attorney cast + CR!
When: 4/19, afternoon and evening
Where: The function room of some restaurant in the Shopping District
What: Phoenix Wright, Miles Edgeworth, Klavier Gavin and Ema Skye are celebrating their birthdays in one big bash with all their friends.
Rating/Warning: Nobody’s getting murdered, so just Ace Attorney ridiculousness.
[ It was by sheer coincidence that the month of April had so many birthdays from people from the same world. Which meant that the best solution was to have the largest birthday party of all birthday parties. Or so was Klavier’s thinking. He knew that some part of the population was plagued with some weird disease that caused headache and fever, so the celebration was relatively low key.
But low key for Klavier would still be considered extravagant for others. He took the liberty of renting out a large room in one of Cerealia’s many restaurants and sent an invite to everyone who he could think of was in Cerealia and encouraged them to invite their friends. The more the merrier, as he said.
Because all of the people celebrating had some connection with the law, there was thus an appropriate cake. There was some confusion with the food because instead of ramen and burgers, there were ramen burgers instead being served on trays by waiters. Plus the drinks were unusually glimmerous, to say the least (but non alcoholic, of course.)
Aside from the food, there was music and even a piano in the back in case some people wanted to play. A gift table was set up so that people could leave their gifts, but good luck trying to find it. ]
(( this is an open log so please feel free to make top levels for your characters! if your character knows any of the ace attorney people even by the slightest smidgen, chances are they were invited. or you can gatecrash and nobody would be able to tell. or klavier accidentally texted the wrong number and they got invited. ))

Whenever Klavier does wander up to greet her at the table she's claimed in the name of Science, Ema beams up at him, nose just a little bit red from constant blowing. Sure, he was a fop, and she had a weird unsure feeling about him, but he'd been nothing but nice.]
Happy Birthday, Mister Gavin. Thank you for putting all this together!

He has to approach Klavier to pay his compliments to the party planner. Though not one for parties, Edgeworth does appreciate the thought...and how people dug up the fact that his birthday was in April.]
Thank you for organizing all of this, Prosecutor Gavin.

Still, this Gavin guy did a cool thing, so Larry has no problem being all cordial when he steps up to introduce himself. (As if he ever has a problem being cordial, but details...)]
Hey! You're Gavin, right? [Forgive him for being informal Klavier, it's what he does...] I'm Larry- Nick and Edgey's best friend. I just wanted to say thanks for getting this together for them! It's pretty dang awesome.
[Yes, even the ramen burgers are pretty dang awesome.]

This is a great party! I had no idea so many people had birthdays around the same time.

[The party came about. She wasn't feeling better.]
[In fact, despite the several days' worth of sleeping and keeping up with her fluids, she was looking worse. Her skin had lost most of its color. She was tired all the time. She tried to cover up most of that with a touch of makeup, but there was only so much concealer to hide her exhaustion.]
[During her better moments, she could be found sitting off to one side. Nibbling on any number of delightful treats. Hoping the food would perk her up a little. During her weaker ones...someone might catch her trying to sneak in a quick catnap in between festivities. Either slumped over in her chair, or--at worst--one of the restaurant benches.]
[At least, when she was asleep, she looked fairly peaceful?]

Guess it's time to tamper with some evidence!
[Or you can find him just lounging around wherever. He'll sit over by the piano with a glass of grape juice, without actually playing said piano.]

Oh my god, birthday parties aren't supposed to be depressing.
But you know what? Leon could use the distraction of hoping that Trucy or Athena show up, so that's what he's doing. He is not, in fact, in the room with the party itself; he's at the closest table to that room, playing the game of plausible deniability (look! LAWYERING!) that he has nothing to do with this party at all.
Except he has a piece of cake.
And he's staking out the territory for Trucy or Athena, if they show up, or any other fine lady who happens by. (He is sadly unaware that this birthday party is partially being held for a cute girl. If he knew, he'd be in there.)
Of course, he's really obvious in how he's watching the room through the open door and munching on cake, soooooo.]

Her hat is for the moment not on her person (...apparently, though with Trucy it's always hard to tell; at the very least it is not on her head) though her hair is twisted into a complex-looking bun. While she'll spend some time on the dance floor - at the very least for a father-daughter dance - and while she definitely gets herself some cake, she'll eventually end up hanging out in a chair at one of the tables, poking the ramen burger a little dubiously. ]
Is it spicy, though...?
[ Feel free to catch her wherever: dancing, poking around the gift table shaking boxes (TRUCY...), sitting at one of the tables, etc. ]
no subject
No matter, he doesn't look annoyed. Actually, he looks tired from helping tend to the sick AA girls, among other people. Perhaps he might have lent Phoenix a hand in taking care of Trucy. In any case, he walks over to her, an amused grin tugging at his lips.]

In the end, she just resorted to making a lot of delicious and healthy cookies and wrapped them up in a box, as well as a small bouquet she arranged at the flower shop. Yeah that should do it.
So here, if she's not looking for the birthday quartet, she's at the food--I mean, she's analysing the ramen burgers (so she really is at the food, there's no denying that.)]
What an unusual burger... [Japan, you never gave her one of these before.]
