Who: The Ace Attorney cast + CR!
When: 4/19, afternoon and evening
Where: The function room of some restaurant in the Shopping District
What: Phoenix Wright, Miles Edgeworth, Klavier Gavin and Ema Skye are celebrating their birthdays in one big bash with all their friends.
Rating/Warning: Nobody’s getting murdered, so just Ace Attorney ridiculousness.

[ It was by sheer coincidence that the month of April had so many birthdays from people from the same world. Which meant that the best solution was to have the largest birthday party of all birthday parties. Or so was Klavier’s thinking. He knew that some part of the population was plagued with some weird disease that caused headache and fever, so the celebration was relatively low key.

But low key for Klavier would still be considered extravagant for others. He took the liberty of renting out a large room in one of Cerealia’s many restaurants and sent an invite to everyone who he could think of was in Cerealia and encouraged them to invite their friends. The more the merrier, as he said.

Because all of the people celebrating had some connection with the law, there was thus an appropriate cake. There was some confusion with the food because instead of ramen and burgers, there were ramen burgers instead being served on trays by waiters. Plus the drinks were unusually glimmerous, to say the least (but non alcoholic, of course.)

Aside from the food, there was music and even a piano in the back in case some people wanted to play. A gift table was set up so that people could leave their gifts, but good luck trying to find it. ]

(( this is an open log so please feel free to make top levels for your characters! if your character knows any of the ace attorney people even by the slightest smidgen, chances are they were invited. or you can gatecrash and nobody would be able to tell. or klavier accidentally texted the wrong number and they got invited. ))

[Carefully opening it, Ema looks at it curiously. That's a really neat gift. An early warning system for if the weather goes south, for sure. Since right now it's as clear as always.]

Thank you, Mister Gavin! I'll make sure to take good care of it.

[She looks at him, then back at the snow globe, frowning a tad, like she's unsure of something. Finally, she spits out her thoughts.]

Um, I wanted to ask you something. Maybe it's silly, but...I keep getting this feeling that whenever we meet, there's something I should be doing. Mister Justice is the same way. Is me not doing that weird for you guys?

Something you should be doing?

[ Klavier thinks for a moment about this. Sure he's got a permanent snackoo dent in his head because of Ema's aim in the future, but that's the future. He would rather be as pure and unsullied as he possibly can, for his future self. And Apollo, of course. ]

Now why would you think that? The only thing you should be doing is having a good time, fraulein. And staying in school, of course.

I don't know, just a hunch.

[She honestly just has a feeling like her age is only half the shock of the fact that she's from a different time. They react completely differently to Phoenix, after all. Edgeworth as well.]

But you don't have to worry about me and school. I'm staying, and here they actually pay me to go. How weird is that?

[ Klavier chuckles. They gave everyone a stipend here? How egalitarian. But it was a good incentive for children to stay in school, no doubt. ]

Then I have no reason to worry then.

[ He hopes that whoever is in the police gives her the position she wants otherwise he's doubly in the snackoo firing line. ]

But never mind me and Herr Justice, ja?

[He's going to end up there, anyway. It's his fate.]

I guess so. Anyway! Thanks for the snow globe, Mister Gavin!

[Seriously that's pretty cool.]

Say...what do they have you doing here? I understand that lawyers aren't really in high demand.

Mmm... I was once a prosecutor, but I'm not longer that.

[ He spreads his hands. ]

Instead I'm the lead singer and dancer of the boy band Law and Order

[ and then followed up with, in the most after thought manner ever. ]

... and a member of the police force.

[That gets some consideration from Ema, and she nods a couple of times. That's way better than she thought, anyway]

So you have a band. Are they robots too, like all my co-workers? And what sort of work do you get to do with the police?

Yes as far as I can tell they're all robots.

[ He sighs, because he would have preferred other... humans. ]

I'm not entirely sure yet, but they have told me to compose their new jingle.

[ for all we know Klavier's job could just be to stand around and look pretty ]

[Ema starts taking notes on that, actually. For later.]

New jingle? The police force needs a jingle?

[That's weird. It kind of reminds her of Gumshoe though.]

Why? They don't need to advertise, I'd hope.

They want the police to have a more friendly face. It's orders from the higher up.

[ He's eyeing that pad warily, but he does look proud of himself. ]

[Scritch-scritch...

And a thought comes to her, and something inside her just says 'go for it.']

I suppose that makes sense. You do have a friendly face. Would that make you Cerealia's Blue Badger, then?

[chordplay]

[ Just... stunned silence on this end. That was a metaphorical rather than literal snackoo katonk. ]

[Success. She beams at him a little, a picture perfect example of 'A cheeky little thing' and readjusts her glasses.]

Happy Birthday, Mister Gavin. I'll stop teasing you now, I promise.

I'm more attractive than the Blue Badger.

[ he finally says, with a small pout. he's now going to send you one of his CDs with the bromide pictures of himself to prove that he is so much better than the Blue Badger. ]

Well, yes? You're not made of cardboard.

[Ema's smiling all the same. She's pretty genuine, about this at least. And if he sends her cds she will listen l, for sure.]

I'm sure your girlfriend is very happy with you.

Haha, I don't have a girlfriend. Its not good for the image of a rock star to have a steady beau.

[ He says, with a little hint of resignation. ]

Maybe Fraulein Skye would be mine in the future? Perhaps once you've finished your schooling, of course.

[Did he just...]

You mean my sister, right?

[ She had a sister? Well that's new information to him. ]

No, I mean you. I believe that you would be a lovely lady in the future.

Maybe in the future then.

[Ema linefaces just a little bit.]

Right now I'm sixteen, and you're...what? Twenty four? Twenty five?
