a; ceres gardens
[ It's only been three days since he disappeared from Cerealia, but to him it feels like it's been quite a bit longer (and he definitely believes it's been longer). He's caught a little off-guard by the sudden return, and he has far too much on his mind to really listen to the powerpoint a second time — he's focused on wanting to see if his friends are still here and thinking about what he's just gone through.
But before he can get too far into his thoughts, he's being dropped off back in Cerealia somewhere — namely, the body of water in the gardens. He's always liked to frequent this place since he's arrived here, just for its nature — it's a nice break from all the technology — and thanks to this, he knows there are some not-so-friendly creatures roaming the waters here. So once he quickly recognizes he's in the gardens, and more specifically in the water in the gardens, he hastily climbs out (at least they dropped him at the edge?), splashing about, and narrowly avoiding losing a limb in the process (and losing a bit of the tip of his cape instead). Then he rolls onto his back, sprawling out on the grass next to the water and panting.
An exasperated sigh. ] Phew! That was way too close! I could've seriously died there!
[ Aaahhh ... What a way to come back here. How welcoming. At least it's keeping his mind off things for a few moments. ]
b; outside the apartments
[ After his incident with the water, it doesn't take him long to realize there's some lingering negative energy here. The same negativity that made him ill before he disappeared. That's ... confusing. Had it really stuck around for that long? Was the colony okay? (Were his friends okay?)
It's giving him some illness even now, and it's making it difficult to walk, but he wants to get back to the apartments as soon as possible in order to check on everyone. So he trudges forward, still soaked from the water and clutching his chest in an attempt to stifle any pain and get himself to move faster.
So please excuse the soaked boy stumbling through the entrance to the apartments. ]

Only now has he decided to return to the apartment and take a rest. He hasn't admitted defeat yet, but he knows that he needs it.
As Mikleo shuffles through the entrance of the apartment complex, he sees a very familiar person. His heart skips a beat, and before he knows it, he's running after the Shepherd.]
Sorey!
[Does Mikleo care that Sorey is soaking wet? Absolutely not. He's just going to--well, not exactly tackle him, but there'll be enough force to possibly make Sorey stumble as he hugs him. It doesn't last very long because then he releases the Shepherd to look at him with concern and relief in his face, despite how he crosses his arms and tries to school himself into a stern expression.]
You've been gone for three days. Nobody could find you or reach you through the CereVice. [He pauses for a moment to ignore the tightening in his throat, covering it up to study Sorey's face. Mikleo frowns slightly, seeing that there's a pain behind his friend's eyes that hadn't been there before. His tone is softer as he says the question he needs to ask.] What happened?
no subject
Mikleo?! You're still here! [ WHAT A RELIEF. He can't help but smile at that, hugging him back before Mikleo lets go of him. But he listens to what his friend has to say next, and adopts a slightly stocked expression on his face. ]
Wait, I've really only been gone for three days? [ That is far less than he thought. But ... that's a good thing, right? He ... thinks. At least, he hasn't left his friends here alone for long then. He has a lot to think about on the subject of leaving, and his world, and time spent in these two different places, but he'll try to keep those thoughts subdued for now. He wants to focus on Mikleo!
He understands why no one could find or reach him, though, hah ... ] Well ... I guess you couldn't find me because I wasn't even here. [ Hahaha ... ]
no subject
Of course I'm still here, and yes, you've only been gone three days.
[Mikleo has no doubt that Sorey will learn that he'd almost gone out of his mind with worry, but it's not going to be coming from him. All that matters right now is that his friend is here and seems relatively unharmed in a physical sense.]
You were back on our world, right? Someone I met here told me that might have happened to you. [He sighs softly.] Still, that's not something I'd care for a repeat on. It wasn't the most comforting thing to find you'd suddenly disappeared into thin air.

It's calming in the gardens--
At least, it is until someone falls straight into the pond in the gardens.
??? ??? ???
WHERE DID HE EVEN COME FROM.
But as soon as Leon recognizes that it's Sorey, he's walking over (couldn't you move a little faster, you dick) and... well, it's a good thing Sorey manages to get out on his own, because Leon's stopping a good foot away from the water.]
What are you doing?
[???]
no subject
As he's catching his breath, he looks up at Leon from his place on the ground. ] Huh?
—Oh, hey, Leon! [ He's smiling so ... at least he's fine? Or at least he seems it. It sure has been a long while since he's seen Leon though. ]
I'm not all that sure myself. One minute I was watching that "powerpoint" [ he still remembers the term, yay ], and the next I was here. Weird, huh?

Welcome back, [ Her voice is somewhat terse as she just stands right above him looking down with a rather serious expression. ] But I hope you plan on telling your boyfriend that you've returned later.
[ INABA????? ]
no subject
[ He looks up at her, still sprawled out on the ground, and with some confusion on his face. Oh, hey, it's Inaba. ]
My boyfriend? [ A pause. ] You mean Mikleo? He's still here then? [ He went along with that way too easily. ] Is he okay? [ Sorey did leave him when he was sick and bad things were happening, sob ... He doesn't even have to ask if Mikleo was worried, though. He can assume that easily enough, both from what she said and from what he knows about his friend. ]

... Why is he soaking wet? It doesn't seem to be raining out here or anything...
Jude halts and turns back around to face him. Catching a second look at him Jude realizes he doesn't seem to be walking very well.] Hey! Sorey, right? Is... everything okay?
no subject
Oh, hey, Jude! Long time no see, huh? [ Hahah ... Way longer for Sorey, really. Long, long time no see. And despite what he's been through (and what he's going through now), he'll flash him a friendly smile. ] Everything's fine! I think.

[A shadow falls across his form as Korra stops beside him. Her smile's a mix of something happy and relieved.]
Where have you been this whole time? I think Mikleo's been looking for you.
no subject
Korra! [ He sounds excited to see her, smiling. In his eyes, it's been quite a while. And he sits up and decides to address the most important part of that first — ]
Wait, he has? This whole time? [ How long has he been gone?? ] I haven't even been here. [ He keeps his smile, but the excitement fades just a little. ] Somehow, I went back to my own world.
[ Which is great! It's great to know he can really do that. They can get out of here. Not so great when he thinks back on some of the things he just recently experienced. ]

B!
Sorey! [ There you are! ... Wait, why are you wet? That-- can't be good if he's sick. He should get a change of clothes right away.
Well, either way... She looks rather relieved that he's alright. Just what on earth was he doing all of this time? Though, the important thing is that he seems safe. ] Are you alright? You were gone for some time.
[ ... Well, three days. But, it feels longer. She'll reach over to close the door behind him. ]
no subject
Alisha! [ She's okay! She's still here! He'd hug her if he wasn't soaking wet. ] I'll be okay! Sorry for disappearing like that. [ He really, really is. Not like he could've controlled it, but. Still feels bad. ] How long was I gone?
[ That's ... an important question. How long did his friends go without him ...? Seeing her is helping to keep his mind off some more heavy things for now, at least. He's just so happy to see her. So, for now, he can take solace in that. ]

Pretend this is after everyone else's threads with castmates and stuff and she just got back and saw him...hopefully drier than he was before.Edna pauses when she sees a familiar silhouette, finding his familiar presence comforting, and she closes the door behind her when she returns (from work, searching for him, or running errands, it didn't really matter now).]
About time you showed up. What do you have to say for yourself, Sorey?
[She's only pretending to be mad. Kind of. She's not relieved or anything...!!]
chlor is a rebel wow
And he turns to face her, smiling and happy to see her. ] Edna! [ A pause, as he places his hand behind his head and looks genuinely apologetic. ] Oh, uh — sorry for disappearing on you like that.

[wow...thanks alcor...what helpful commentary...
Okay, he'll be a little bit more helpful than that, and offer his hand to help him up, as he stands to the side and leans over the sprawled Shepherd on the ground, blocking the light from Sorey's vision with his body.]
Do you need assistance?
DOUBLE THE CHLOR
[ But once he's up on his feet, he wavers a little, wincing. The negative energy he felt so much of before he left is still around a little. Not too much, but he can tell it hasn't faded completely. Still uncomfortable. ]

The habit had already formed that she'd take walks every day. And though by this time she knew it was becoming less likely, she'd still hoped that she would see him. Silly, maybe, but she didn't think idealistic hopes like that were wrong. It was the kind of blind faith that told her he'd surely return to them that reminded her most of him. And so she intended to keep that feeling alive.
More often than not her walks were fairly uneventful. But today she got a splash from a poor fellow who ended up in the water.
Turning around to ensure they were alright, Lailah is momentarily speechless. However, it's not a long moment. The fire seraph quickly stepped over to the boy sprawled out on the grass and looked down over him.]
Sorey!
[Although he'd had a rough entry, she's able to quickly see that he's without major injry and relaxes visibly.]
Oh thank goodness...
[She wasn't going to cry... she wasn't. Although if she was going to cry, she'd much rather it be joyful like this.]
uuu fire mom ;a;
And he looks up at her, confirming it's really her, before smiling. ]
Lailah! Man am I glad to see you.
[ A lot more glad than she might think. He isn't going to sit up just yet though. Just lay there catching his breath and smiling. ]

CRASHES IN HERE -- A!
It - and the boy behind it - is not hard to find. Xion pauses, slipping her CereVice into a pocket before making her way over to Sorey and cautiously kneeling by his side, leaning over and peering down at him. ]
Are you okay? What just happened...?
CATCHES U
[ Blinking in confusion, and then giving her the best smile he can muster right now. ] Oh, well ... I dunno, actually. I guess they just decided I didn't need to be handled with care.
[ Hahah ... No care whatsoever. He's fatigued from fighting Heldalf, can still feel a bit of the negativity around here, and has a million things on his mind, but nope. They wanted to chuck him in some dangerous water, apparently. ]

Sorey! [He's surprised and also relieved to see that he's back (because Mikleo was a huge mess, let's be honest), but that relief quickly melts into concern as he watches him.] Dude, hey, what happened?
[He's also giving him a fairly critical stare. He knows where Sorey disappeared to based on what others have told him, and he can't imagine the Nexus is easy on anybody. This is different though.]
no subject
I, uh, fell in some water, I guess.
[ That's ... all ... Really that's just the first thing he thinks to explain. Seeing as his appearance probably doesn't look so good, and he doesn't want to worry him on that front. Never mind his fatigue and apparent pain. But that's a little harder to explain. ]
