[ So while you're walking about, enjoying or hating your day, you will encounter a dog. This dog will, as adorable corgis do, perform one of the following feats:

a.) Steal whatever you're holding for a game of Keep Away. Don't think that being tall will save you, he's got quite the spring in his hind legs.

b.) Drop whatever thing he's picked up (ball, wadded up paper, someone's high heel) and wait expectantly for you to play fetch with him.

c.) Bark. And roll over. This means love him.

d.) Trip you. It's probably unintentional.

Whatever he does, at least you'll hear two voices (familiar or not) clamoring in the distance for "Zweeeeeeeeeeeeeei!" and then Yang and Ruby will be heading in your direction at high speed.

Whatever you do, don't grab the dog and run. They may not know who you are, but they will find you. And they will kill you.

Or at least make you regret it. ]

[Nobody can resist the cuteness that is Zwei.]

He's our dog.

And he loves attention, so feel free to praise him...

[Yona scratches the little dog behind the ears and coos. To the girls, she asks — ]

Is he from your world?

[The puppy and Ao are nothing alike, but she still finds herself abruptly and intensely missing Shin-ah's cute little squirrel companion.]

Yep! He came from home with me. I guess I got pretty lucky.

[Which Ruby's happy about, because having Zwei around just makes both of them happy. And everyone who Zwei meets.]

Really, he's kind of a ball of fluffy joy, so...

So if you're ever in need of a ball of fluffy joy, it's fine if you borrow him. We won't even rent him out, since you're a friend.

[Yona smiles and nuzzles Zwei's head.]

Well thank you. I might take you up on that sometime.

[She thinks she's being so good about how low she feels...]

It's pretty tough here sometimes, huh?

But... you're still alive! That's good!

Nope, nooot at all! We were thinking of going to get smoothies. Wanna come with us?

[Friendship is great, Ruby can do friendship like this for sure.]

We can all get different flavors so we can swap and experiment!

They're like... blended fruits and ice cream and stuff! It's super sweet and delicious. [Ruby, you're thinking of shakes.]

[Yona finds herself laughing at their sisterly dynamic. They have a different kind of banter than her dragons do — less playful antagonism and more affectionate indulgence — but it's the same kind of warmth.]

I like all fruit! [Fruits are a luxury when you're living the fugitive lifestyle. That sweet sweet deliciousness is something she plans on never taking for granted again.

She shoots Yang a curious glance at her comment.] I've never had chocolate before. Is it good?

You've never had chocolate?

[Ruby's just looking so aghast at this.]

It's so good, you have to try it! Now we definitely have to get you a chocolate smoothie.

It's pretty much the ultimate comfort food-- so yeah, we're getting you one.
