ain't no party like a kumou party
Who: the residents of the Cloudy Apartment (aka Tenka & Sousei & Soramaru & Nishiki & whoever else they might pick up....)
When: varies
Where: the best apartment Ever
What: Home is where the chaos is.
Rating/Warning: none at the moment!
[In this nifty little space, I'm going to mention that Sousei and Tenka used the HOLO(gm) to make the entire apartment look closer to the shrine, complete with sliding screen doors and tatami mats. They tossed all of the chairs out the window and proceeded to get really low tables and cushions so that they could sit around as they normally do.
The kitchen is the only modern-looking part of the apartment because they realized that as much as they fail at cooking, what they have is already better than the kitchen of the shrine. They also bought a rice cooker because that's pretty important.
For now, everyone has their own room. Subject to change if this family gets bigger or they decide to knock down a wall to the next apartment over. Who knows, maybe that'll happen on accident.
Lastly, they kept the couch. Because Tenka liked it and he still claims to be The Rule.]

Tenka blinks as well - Hinata hadn't said anything about murder games before. Rather, he had been to a world before this one and it was even worse, more desolate. Yet even that is considerably more mild than executions. He hadn't even known that Peko and Hinata knew each other.
So instead he makes a soft noise of acknowledgement.]
.... Then I need to talk to him too.
[Sure is getting Aniki up in here.]

[Rather, he knew that that was what Tenka was going to do....SURE IS GETTING VERY ANIKI UP IN HERE. Sousei shakes his head simply, because there's not a lot more he has to say. He knows Tenka won't spread their secrets around, and he's just going to go Aniki them because that's what Tenka does.
... Hm. He sips his tea.]
... Is there anything else?
[That they didn't cover--over Tenka's dream, or Sousei's, or...any of the other tangents they went off on. It's an entirely sincere question.]

In truth, there's nothing really important about the Orochi that Tenka can think that came up in his dream. Anything else is rather superfluous and involves Kagemitsu's family - so he'd really rather not share. He imagines it's the same for Sousei and Peko's dream.
So he shakes his head faintly, smiling faintly.]
If I ask you if you're alright, are you just going to respond with 'Of course' again?
[It remains that Sousei had to experience death in his dream.
So Tenka's worried.
But if Sousei's thoughts on the matter haven't gathered, Tenka isn't sure if it needs to happen. Not like the sensation is a pleasant one.]

He can tell that Tenka is honestly worried, but Sousei has calmed down now. So he thinks it over for a moment, but really, the answer he's going to give is a foregone conclusion. There has been so much worse than experiencing death in a dream, really, even if it certainly was difficult at the time.]
... I am fine, now.
[It's as close as he'll get to admitting that he really wasn't fine before--but at least that means that his acknowledgement is a lot more sincere now.
Talking to Tenka and being near Tenka honestly helped quite a lot. It stabilized him and grounded him, and now he can think back to that memory without even the desire to flinch.]

Tenka opens his mouth to inquire further - so he wasn't okay before? What makes him okay now? Is he sure that he's okay now and it's not just some passing calm before he gets shaken up again? .... In truth, he's entirely ready to fuss and it shows on his expression. Though he pauses.
He looks troubled for a second, but probably not for the expected reasons. Then his expression smooths out again and he shakes his head.]
.... Alright. You should quit that bad habit of white lies to buy time though. Next time I might not be so forgiving.
[If Sousei's ever not okay, Tenka would rather know and accept that he might not want talk about it at the time than have to ask the same question multiple times hoping that one day the lie will go away. "Simply startling"? Please.
Still though, he's not upset. Just a request.]

His squad knows better than to ask, generally--well, Takeda aside, who still is so bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and hopeful. But that's because when there are others depending on him, it would be letting the Yamainu down to be anything but fine.
But.
The Yamainu are not here. And so Sousei meets Tenka's eyes, considering that for a long moment, and then nods.]
I understand.
[He'll try. But ingrained habits are hard to break, and he may need some reminders every now and then--and he still intends to be fine from here on out, so that it isn't even a problem in the future.]
no subject
See? Told you. You were already wrong about something.
[Taunting Sousei is second-nature.
But before he can be kicked under the table, he's standing and picking up his tea cup as he does so.]
Kagemitsu-san probably isn't awake yet.... but I'll wait for him to call me. It'll probably make him feel important to check up on his poor descendant. [He snickers faintly, mood apparently picked up and.... not too worried about whatever Kagemitsu saw. He's not Tenka's charge. He doesn't have to worry about distressing him - rather, he trusts the other man naturally as one would with family.] I'll be around if you need anything.
no subject
But still, that's more than enough for him. They've got it covered, and Sousei will contact Pekoyama and Hinata and talk to them about what he saw--and Tenka, too, will cover it in his own Aniki way. He'll handle Kagemitsu as well....
Well, honestly, that's enough.
"I'll be around if you need anything".
Sousei just quietly picks up his tea, any remaining tension in his shoulders easing. Honestly? Just the fact that that last statement is true means that Sousei doesn't need anything at all.
It's enough.]
