What: Minato has a new companion, and he decides to show him around the block and kick back a little

[Minato's not the most avid ViViD player, but he's saved up points here and there having nothing to spend it on, and he can't say he expected his single request to be fulfilled.

At least not by finding it barking from the top of a tree. How did Koromaru even get up there?

Seeing his old friend reminds Minato of happier times right when things don't seem to be looking up regardless, and in taking delight in something as simple as touching Koromaru's fur he feels as if his troubles have lessened- they're not gone, but they feel less like a burden.]

A - 1. Around the city

[Minato's only been able to take Koromaru out at night most of the time before this, and it feels like a nice change of pace taking the Shiba Inu out for a walk in the morning and afternoon whenever he doesn't have work. Those who have spoken to him recently might notice that he seems more energetic, more like his usual self than a few days before this and being unusually chatty with Koromaru.

A - 2. Around the city...park

[That being said Minato might be surprisingly energetic for someone who looks on the verge of falling asleep all the time, but keeping up with Koromaru constantly is tiring and some of their walks take them back to the park where they found each other. The warm weather is inviting and one might find Minato dozing off below the shade with a dog beside him, ears pricking up and getting up when he hears someone approaching.

He tilts his head and watches curiously- what will you do?]

B. Little Sister Cosplay Cafe

[Work still calls though, and Minato's nothing if not efficient even if he has his doubts about two accessories that come with the job. Those visiting the cosplay cafe will find him donning a waiter's outfit, along with a pair of black cat ears and a black cat tail if they look closely. For the most part he's polite and calm, bowing his head as he welcomes visitors.]

Good afternoon...let me show you to your seat.

[But one might wonder if he's a little too quick to get out of sight. Is being formal part of his job?]

C. Arcades

[Last but not least Minato's always been more comfortable with traditional arcades than ViViD, and he might be found here occasionally. He can be seen being intensely focused in trying not to crash a train playing one of them, only to stare flatly at the screen when he fails and mutter something that sounds like it's been the fifth time. Should your character approach he'll sit up, as if he has something to ask of them.]

Do you want to give it a try? There's other games too...we could play together.

[This is the first time Kaz had ever visited Minny's workplace, and he lingered at the doorway with Koromaru at his side looking unsure. Were pets allowed in here? He couldn't see a sign, but he didn't want to stroll inside and cause trouble for Minny at work. He might have his Koromaru privileges taken away!]

What do you think? Ye or nay?

[Koromaru barked, tail wagging. Well, it was decided then]

Okay, but if we get thrown out and make Minny mad, I'm telling him it was your idea.

[And so they entered the cafe, Kaz trying to seem totally natural at walking inside a cafe with a dog and instead succeeding in looking shifty as fuck. Koromaru, of course, was vibrating with excitement. Hopefully pets were allowed in your workplace, Minny...]

[Minato's having his lunch break, which might be a good thing for all of them as he'd otherwise have had to address the both of them as 'Master', which would have gotten awkward quickly.

He's sitting at one of the tables as they walk in, glancing at Kaz briefly before his attention turns to Koromaru.]

Good afternoon, Kaz, Koromaru. ... [He continues to stare at Koromaru like he's contemplating something.] Did he ask you to bring him here?

[Kaz looked visibly relieved that Minny was the first employee they met - great, so if the manager came over because of Koromaru, Minny could take the heat!]

Uh, yeah. We were passing by and Koro wanted to say hello. [Beat] Plus I was hungry, and, like if you work here, then the food must be okay, right? Unless this place is just for eyecandy.

[Kaz gave Minny a look then, as if assessing his eligibility to the title of "eye candy". Hmmm, tough call.]

[ minato's been working at the cafe for a few weeks now, but his performance still needs some work! they're at a cosplay cafe, so they should play the part of what they're wearing.

athena, for example, has a maid costume on. and she's been welcoming incoming patrons by calling them master. ]

Minato, you gotta call them "master" or "owner", too! [ of course, she calls his attention when they're not busy and are just taking a short break. ]

[moribound]

[Efficient and cordial as he can be, Minato's forced to admit that the words 'Master' and 'Owner' just don't seem to come to him well just yet. He's clearly a little embarrassed when he replies to Athena, though it's unclear whether he's shy or just reluctant to use those words.]

Ah, sorry. You're a lot better at this than I am...how do you do it?

[ don't worry! athena is here to pull your spirits up, whatever reason they may be. ]

Well, I've been here long enough. [ she laughs. ] But I guess you just gotta play the part.

[Angelo was always about taking walks in the park, it was one way to keep up his physical training without doing much. Upon seeing Minato and his little dog, he returns the dog's head tilting with one of his own. Since when did the guy own a dog? Though he really doesn't know that much about him since their last meeting, perhaps he is a dog lover. Well whatever. He slowly goes towards the dog while pulling something out of his pocket, it looks like some kind of snack food which resembled potato chips. Maybe the dog will like these?]

[Koromaru eyes the snack curiously before stepping forward and sniffing it. He's an intelligent animal and he's heard enough from the other SEES members to know that these things aren't good for him, but a little snack certainly can't hurt and he sits up attentively as if he's asking for it politely.

Minato is completely oblivious to this little exchange, still sleeping like a log.]

Here you go little guy. [He holds out a handful of potato chips for Koromaru to snack on while he looks over Minato. Boy, that guy can sure sleep if it means anything.]

I wonder why he's so tired, but this does give me an idea... [He even has a very small yet devious grin on his face.]

[Ever since the events a few weeks ago, Takeru had been trying to figure out new ways to manage with what he saw. It wasn't everyday he got to see people's blood on the altar. But despite that, he was trying to forget what he saw. And what better way than to deal with that then to go to the arcade and pretend he never saw anything?

Of course, as he ventured onward, he spotted a familiar person nearby. As he stared at the game and back at Minato, he just kept staring at the screen before the train crashed! But when he heard his voice?

...Oh right, he should say something shouldn't he?]

Yeah, I think we can do that! But do you want to play something else? I think you've been playing that game for a while now.

[moribound]

Oh, Takeru-kun. [Minato gets off his seat at once, sliding his hands into his pockets as he regards his little friend.]

This game's only for one person... [He thinks about it for a while before hitting on the idea of playing a racing game- Takeru must have something on his mind after what happened before after all.]

How about we race each other? We could play Mario Kart.

Mario Kart? Yeah, I would love that!

[Although, by this point? Just anything to distract himself from what he saw a while back. He just didn't want to be reminded of seeing people dying again.

Which was why he started looking around to see where said Mario Kart game was...]

[William tries not to hit up the arcade too often, seeing as his competitive nature leads to him wasting a little too much money. But there's no harm in it on occasion, such as today.

He notices a familiar person. He'd only spoken to Minato once and admittedly, William hadn't been able to focus too much on the encounter, his body completely off.

But he might as well say hi. And the game he's losing at looks intriguing.]

That's a hard one, huh?

[The smoke coming from the train wreck can still be seen billowing over the 'Game Over' on the screen, but it's no longer an interesting sight to Minato and he stops the game to talk to William instead.]

It's pretty hard. The trains get faster after each level...this was the last one.
[For having lost at the final level Minato doesn't sound annoyed at all somehow.] Anyway, it's good to see you again.

[Losing at the final level isn't anything to be ashamed of. Though William isn't the type to be a good loser about that sort of thing.]

It is good to see you too. You seem to be doing better than that time we met.

Oh– [ See, Rapunzel hadn't known this was a cosplay cafe. She'd put "COFEE AND THINGs" into her CereVice and the CereVice regurgitated the address of Minato's new workplace. But now, looking over the shoulder of the adorable but flighty (?? he just seems on edge??) cat maid before her and seeing all the other costumes... ]

Wait!

...Can... Can I try it on too?

[ And alas, she doesn't seem interested in specifying what exactly it is she wants to try on. ]

[That's a new one, both the question and this girl with impossibly long hair. Minato tilts his head, looking around to see if there's anyone else- should he even be letting people try on a part of his get-up?]

Do you mean the ears? I'm not sure if I can do that, since they're a part of my outfit.

Not - specifically. [ Though the suggestion has her cracking a smile as she leans slightly to the side, watching the other servers as they hustle about in costume, as well. ]

There's got to be an extra somewhere around here. Right? If you all have them, there must be somewhere I can get one too!

[ The thing with cats is that they really do try and dart out of the way, and you end up having to try and hold them in a way that stops them from squirming out and off. Minato, alas, is not a real cat so when he tries to dart to the back to hide away (and honestly, at this point he's also aware there are costumes back there much worse than this) Merlin reaches out to pull him back with the back of his collar, careful to not choke him at the same time. ]

Trying to hide somewhere?

[ Must be hard when you aren't overly social like he is, honestly. ]

Eh? [Minato's reflexes usually wouldn't allow him to be caught so easily but he's holding something in his hands and can't let it drop.]

Of course not. I was just going to put this cloth away after washing it. Do you mind letting me go, Merlin?

[ Look, there a number of reasons to be suspicious when there are still people in the cafe and Minato is moving off to the back with only a few items in his hands. Like he's doing it this way to go there and back more than once. ]

Of course not. [ He raises his hand, like it's a surrender. ] Though I think that lady on table 3 misses you.

[ I'm so sorry, Minato... ] You might not want to keep her waiting too long.

[It wasn't every day that you'd see animal of the non-killing kind around the colony. So the fact that Minato was walking a dog around the city had caught Hiro's eye. Looked like he had gained a new friend... Or maybe he knew him from home. Either way, Hiro was certainly approaching the two with one of his unusual greetings.]

Arf arf!

[moribound]

Arf arf! [Minato's unfortunately a killjoy at times, and that's Koromaru taking in the new stranger and returning his greeting politely before the pair come to a stop.]

Hey, Hiro. I didn't know you like dogs too...this is Koromaru, and he's a part of my team from home. [His own smile is subdued but he's clearly quite happy to see Koromaru wagging his tail at Hiro.

Hello, new friend.]

[The one approaching Minato and Koromaru is a young looking child in blue. He's gazing curiously at Koromaru from a safe distance. Due to how normal animals seems to get scared of him, Sayo doesn't know how this dog would react to him.

Especially since it looks real. Like a real dog, and not a Cybuddy. He tilts his head at Koromaru.]

Are you a real dog...?

[moribound]

[Koromaru returns the head tilt with one of his own and a questioning whine. A real dog? That's a little sad to hear, especially as he hasn't seen any other dogs around here.

Minato's clearly not going anywhere at the moment, so Koromaru trots over to Sayo and stops a few steps away from him, sensing that he must have had some reason for not approaching him.]

Arf! [The bark is loud and clear- he's real alright and he won't mind being touched.]
