[Being a shrine maiden isn't really tough work. Sure her robes are a little strange and elaborate, but she's getting used to them-- the fact it's the same style of robes worn by the dead shrine maidens in her world notwithstanding. She doesn't even mind the weird headpiece or the cloth over her eyes.

Honestly, it's giving her a way of trying to understand the old shrine maidens, a feeling of connection, but- That's neither here nor there.

If you're someone she ran into in ViViD (however briefly and here's where you're free to handwave that maybe they saw each other in passing), Yuri approaches.]

Excuse me. [How does she see through that thing covering her eyes?? She raises a hand and gently lifts the veil to reveal her face and nods in greeting. Normally she'd also wave with her free hand, but that arm is currently cradling a...bouquet of flowers?? Weird.] Hello. I just... Wanted to know if you were doing well. The first day was a little...

[She trails off, because how do you even begin to describe that? So she decides to skip over it and continues:] Are you settling in alright?

[Alright so this whole "offering her abilities as a service to people" thing was good in theory, but she's been getting a lot of requests from your friendly everyday NPCs. And mostly it's to find stuff they misplaced and could probably find if they actually put in any effort or something.

'I'm not bitter,' i say bitterly with a bitter expression. Okay maybe she's not actually bitter, but she is a little exasperated.

Currently it's a case of a missing ring. Anyone sensitive to supernatural things (or maybe the city itself is just being weird and letting it be shown) will see a vaguely humanoid shape walking off before disappearing after a moment. Maybe it's even headed right by you when it disappears??

Yuri, assuming most people can't see it, just grips the ring box tighter and nods her head in passing, staring intently at the place the shape had been. She looks around a moment, frowns, then turns to address you] Sorry, have you seen a ring around here...?

[Maybe Yuri's your waitress at the cafe and you recognize her, or maybe while at her shrine maiden gig or around town you recognize her as the girl advertising her ability to find anything and anyone and you want to put it to the test? Anything goes!]

He's mildly embarrassed as Yuri rushes to save him. The droid is indeed just going about its business, and Yuri's messing around is slowly dislodging the backpack.]

Y- Yuri... Thank you! [He flusters as he reaches around to try to help her.]

[why this.

She finally manages to unhook the backpack, heaving a sigh of relief as the droid carries on, sans a ninja. She gives a tired little 'ha' and shakes her head, looking Lee over]

Are you alright? That was close... I thought you'd just be dragged off to who knows where...

[Probably to some trash heap. He smiles weakly, with a light blush on his cheeks as she looks him over.]

I am alright. Thanks to you, Yuri! You... you saved me! [His smile is grateful and sincere. He doesn't pay mind to how much closer they're probably standing now, but he does faintly seem to notice that something seems to be missing from Yuri's person. What did she have on her a few moments ago...?]

It was nothing. [She demurs instantly at the praise, looking a little embarrassed herself.] I'm just glad you're alright.

[Actually, now that you mention it... Yuri jerks away in surprise, letting Lee go to whirl around towards the fallen bouquet] The flowers--!

[She rushes over to inspect the damage; They've been kicked to the side, but otherwise aren't too badly hurt. Yuri heaves a sigh of relief and carefully takes them up in her arms. A couple petals have fallen off and she examines them with slight dismay] Lee... I'm sorry. [BUT WHAT IS SHE APOLOGIZING FOR??]

["I'm glad you're alright." He's not sure why hearing that makes him feel so calm and secured, but it quickly fades at Yuri's exclamation, and he looks straight towards the bouquet as well.]

Ah-! [He frowns guiltily as he tries to look over the flowers. And then he's confused by Yuri's apology. Lee blinks and glances up at her softly, and his words are light as well.]

Why should you apologize? This is my fault. I could have ruined them, a-and... I am sure that those flowers are for someone special.

[He takes a moment and bows deeply.]

I apologize, Yuri!

[Yuri makes a small noise of surprise and quickly shakes her head] No, no, it's not your fault. I shouldn't have just dropped them like that...

[I am sure that those flowers are for someone special. She blushes and sighs deeply.] ...They were supposed to be for you. I'm sorry, I know it's not much now. I just-- I wanted to thank you. For your advice, and for everything else.

[She's rambling a little bit, but she looks at the flowers and then at him] If you don't want them now or anything, I understand. I can get you a new bouquet-- a better one.

[For him? His eyes widen, and a red flush quickly spreads across his cheeks. He did not expect such a kind gesture even from the usually kind Yuri. His heart flutters as he looks at them, and he can't see any of their flaws.]

Y-Yuri! For me...? [He points at himself skeptically.] You did not have to do such a thing. B-But... I would not want a different bouquet?

[A tender smile crosses his face as he looks down at the flowers.]

This one is perfect! I - I would be very honored... no, I would be very happy to accept this from you, Yuri! I... I... such a thing, it... I am glad!!

[Finding words is more of a struggle than usual.]

[She blushes darkly, holding the flowers out for him to take.]

You're sure...? [BECAUSE REALLY, REPLACING THEM WOULDN'T BE A PROBLEM. But if he insists they're fine, than she'll give them to him.]

I tried to get flowers I thought you'd like. Hinata-san helped me-- and Neji-san, a little. He assure me you'd like them. [Well he'd really been more like "Lee would love them even if they were weeds" but. You know. Same thing.

Voice a tad quieter she adds:] Your friends are good people, Lee.

[He reaches forward and grips the flowers softly, the tips of his fingers brushing against hers as he takes them. His face continues to glow, and his smile reflects that warmth as he looks at her.]

I am absolutely sure, Yuri. Without a doubt!

[And he feels more touched at the rest of her story.]

Hinata-san and Neji... both of them helped you?! [He's getting a little misty now.] I... I am so glad that they helped you! And I am so happy you are getting along...

[His emotions have built up to a crescendo, so he quickly springs forward to wrap her in a hug, the flowers still in one hand as both wrap around her back.]

And I am so happy to know you!!

Well... Hinata-san and I get along fine, I think. I'm not sure what Neji-san thinks of me, but... [But she's sure it's not particularly flattering. And she thought she was serious and humorless.

But then she's swept up in a hug with a small yelp of surprise; for a moment she doesn't react before returning the hug with a resigned, amused huff at his exuberance.] ...Me too, Lee. [She clings to him a moment, holding tight-- it feels good to hug, honestly, to have that sort of connection with someone she's rarely allowed herself for fear of seeing or hearing things she shouldn't. After a moment she takes a breath and pulls back a little to look at him, just quietly gazing at him.

Someone passing by jeers a 'get a room!' and makes her jerk in surprise and embarrassment, suddenly remembering that they'rein the middle of the street.] I, ah-- [what are words]

[Well. Those reactions are not unexpected, but Lee is sure that Yuri can win over even Neji.

How can she not, when she's such a kind person? And so warm and so soft. The hug was a purely impulsive gesture at first, but then it felt comfortable enough that it lingered until Yuri pulled back.

For once, Lee found himself completely silent, lips parted slightly as he looked right back into Yuri's eyes. He could not define what he felt at that moment - especially since he was quickly snapped to reality by the taunting passerby.

Lee is very flustered, but he turns away from Yuri to politely yell at the man.]

Excuse me, sir!! I appreciate your concern, but we are very content to be outside at the moment! Thank you very much!!

[Please guide him out of the street before he gets hit by something...]

Lee-- [Yuri sort of laughs, a mix of amusement at his shouted commentary and embarrassment at their situation, tugging at his arm.]

Come on, let's move away before someone else tries to join in or something. [The last thing she needs is lee accidentally starting a fight or something. Who knew how people around here would react.] You should probably get those flowers into some water soon anyhow. I've been walking around with them all day, they're probably getting a little dry...

Very well! [He smiles sheepishly as she tugs at his arm and moves along with her. ...But once she mentions the dryness, he immediately becomes alarmed and starts hustling forward.]

G-getting dry?! Oh no! This is an emergency!! I cannot let these flowers, your precious gift, dry up and die!! We- we must save them!
