[Being a shrine maiden isn't really tough work. Sure her robes are a little strange and elaborate, but she's getting used to them-- the fact it's the same style of robes worn by the dead shrine maidens in her world notwithstanding. She doesn't even mind the weird headpiece or the cloth over her eyes.

Honestly, it's giving her a way of trying to understand the old shrine maidens, a feeling of connection, but- That's neither here nor there.

If you're someone she ran into in ViViD (however briefly and here's where you're free to handwave that maybe they saw each other in passing), Yuri approaches.]

Excuse me. [How does she see through that thing covering her eyes?? She raises a hand and gently lifts the veil to reveal her face and nods in greeting. Normally she'd also wave with her free hand, but that arm is currently cradling a...bouquet of flowers?? Weird.] Hello. I just... Wanted to know if you were doing well. The first day was a little...

[She trails off, because how do you even begin to describe that? So she decides to skip over it and continues:] Are you settling in alright?

[Alright so this whole "offering her abilities as a service to people" thing was good in theory, but she's been getting a lot of requests from your friendly everyday NPCs. And mostly it's to find stuff they misplaced and could probably find if they actually put in any effort or something.

'I'm not bitter,' i say bitterly with a bitter expression. Okay maybe she's not actually bitter, but she is a little exasperated.

Currently it's a case of a missing ring. Anyone sensitive to supernatural things (or maybe the city itself is just being weird and letting it be shown) will see a vaguely humanoid shape walking off before disappearing after a moment. Maybe it's even headed right by you when it disappears??

Yuri, assuming most people can't see it, just grips the ring box tighter and nods her head in passing, staring intently at the place the shape had been. She looks around a moment, frowns, then turns to address you] Sorry, have you seen a ring around here...?

[Maybe Yuri's your waitress at the cafe and you recognize her, or maybe while at her shrine maiden gig or around town you recognize her as the girl advertising her ability to find anything and anyone and you want to put it to the test? Anything goes!]

[ They've only spoken on two occasions, but Saitou has a good memory for basically everyone that he's met here. That being said, when he runs into her, he extends a greeting before answering her question. ]

What kind of ring? [ She'd been staring rather hard at something; he casts his own gaze on the ground for anything shiny. ]

I'm not sure. [She looks a little embarrassed and looks at the box.] I was just asked to find it-- I know it's around this area. The token is leading me here, so... It should be the only ring around here.

[Unless this is some famous ring-dumping spot she doesn't know about. The place where lost rings go to die.

Then she seems to realize who she's actually speaking to and blinks in surprise.] Ah, Saitou-san. I'm sorry, how are you? [manners... how could she forget those!!]

Did the one who asked you to find it offer anymore details? [ Because that's really not a lot--"find a ring." It could be a ring-dumping spot, for all they know.

He looks back up at her when he hears his name. ] I'm well. And you? [ She was preoccupied, which was hardly being rude. ]

My... My power will lead me to it. I can find it well enough from that, so I didn't think... [She trails off, clearly embarrassed at her blunder.] It's silver, I think. That's all she really said.

[Yuri hesitates lightly at the question, only because haha how does she even answer that.] I'm... well enough. Recovering. This last event in ViVID was a little...much, for me. [Actually, that brings her to another question, though she's a little hesitant to ask it. It's not as though she's terribly close to Saitou, and she's not sure if his response will be much different from Souji's but......]

Saitou-san, may I ask you a-- possibly personal question? [And she continues once she's sure he won't be terribly offended if she asks anyhow:] Does it bother you any to kill people?

[Ah. She should have thought about it a little before opening her mouth. Or, maybe she shouldn't have thought about it at all? Because now that she's been asked about whether or not she's seen a ring around here, she's not actually sure.]

... I don't know. What does it look like?

It's-- [Yuri than stops, faltering.] It's... [UHHH.

GOOD QUESTION...] I don't know. I was asked to find it, but I didn't think to ask what the ring actually looks like. [Quickly, trying to be reassuring, she adds:] But it's probably the only ring around here. If you see one, it's sure to be it.

I don't know if I've seen one, but it could be... under a bench? [She tried, and therefore nobody should judge her. Not knowing what it looks like makes trying to remember little details like that harder, though.] It's the type of ring you wear on your finger, right?

It's not under a bench. [She says this with a certain degree of confidence, summoning up the 'trace' spirit to lead the away again, watching it disappear near a bench.

If it turns out the thing rolled underneath it in the meantime, she's going to be annoyed. Her brows furrow somewhat and she walks over to it, glancing around.]

Hm? Oh. Yes, it's one of those kinds of rings. It's a wedding ring, I think, and it's a woman's. [Yuri looks over] Does that help a little?

[Seems they were both wearing what they had been during their first video chat, with the additions of Yuri's intricate headpiece and Neji's jacket. He almost thinks it'd be inappropriate to approach her, but he'd seen her greet and converse with a handful of other people wandering this particular district that in the end he couldn't feel terribly guilty for interrupting her work. Again.

Suddenly Neji's at her side, keeping pace with her as she walks, hands in his pockets.] You were at the festival yesterday. [Half-question, half-statement. 'I didn't see you', he means. Not that he had even really searched.]

[Yuri tenses in surprise-- both because she hadn't been paying attention to his approach, and the fact that it's Neji approaching and talking to her in the first place. She looks over and reaches up to remove her veil to see him properly, wondering where this could be going.]

I... Yes, for a little bit. I don't like crowds very much, so I didn't stay long. [She tilts her head curiously, waiting for the next part of this. She assumes he's started this conversation, and like that, for a reason...]

That was the impression I had of you. [That she didn't like crowds, obnoxious music, organized nonsense. He's curious too though, and judging by the way Yuri was peering at him, he had to assume she'd figured him out.]

So I have to wonder why you didn't think to pick up flowers at the shop, instead. On a quieter day like today, it'd have been easier. [A light gesture to the bouquet. Because if one didn't think he had passed by Hinata's booth (accidentally or otherwise) so many times so as to memorize the sight of the blasted flowers, they'd be horribly, horribly wrong.] For your work?

[Yuri stops dead, looking utterly baffled. She looks at the flowers in her arms, then away at some unknown point with the dawning realization that honestly that would have been easier.]

I didn't-- that is, I... [There are a hundred little reasons why she'd chosen the festival day, her ears and cheeks starting to turn red in embarrassment that he'd called out her blunder so easily] They're not for work, no. [She shifts the flowers and then she'd weight from one leg to the other as she looks at him.]

They're... For Lee. I just thought-- I know Hinata-san is his friend. I don't know if she works at the shop normally, so... [So going to the festival and seeing her at the booth was the only idea she had. Honestly, if she thinks about it, it probably doesn't matter. She could've just gone today and gotten any old flowers, but she'd wanted something he would actually like. Even if in the end the answer was more or less "he'd like anything."

Voice softening again, she continues] He gave me some good advice after everything in ViViD. I wanted to thank him for that. And everyhing else. [Yuri suddenly looks a little nervous and turns that uncertain look on Neji] Will he like them? [Hinata had been one thing, but she knew Neji was closest to him. If anyone would know it'd be him.]

[Today was a surprisingly quiet day so far with regard to running routes - or voice sessions, for that matter. Not that Ryuuga could complain too much - it gave him more chances to get to know people around the colony, keep an eye for potential hotspots the moment that Zaruba sensed Inga (he's still not completely convinced it won't happen at one point, especially with Jinga being around), and maybe, hopefully take his mind off of the slight ache he felt when he thought about home.

So imagine his surprise when he decides to take a small break at a nearby cafe and after a few moments, immediately recognizes the waitress in front of him.]

Oh-- [Yuri looks for a moment like a deer caught in the headlights, caught between a fight or flight response.

She's honestly half-tempted to drop the menu and flee, but it's just Ryuu. It's just Ryuu. She straightens and looks a tad embarrassed] Hello, Ryuuga-san. Um. How are you?

[Meeting people at your work is always a little awkward, but dammit she's trying.] Sorry, you startled me, I wasn't expecting to see you here of all place...

[Hey, as long as effort's being made, there's nothing wrong with that!

Though he probably could've toned that down a couple notches, whoops.]

Been better, but I guess I can't really complain. [Injuries were something he could recover from. After all, he's had much worse.]

You can complain, I don't mind. [She's already listened to him plenty of times before, so what's a little more??

She looks sheepish and embarrassed, shaking her head.] This doesn't seem like the kind of job for me, right? [She assumes that's what his surprise was from] To be honest, I'm not very comfortable with it. I don't really know how to talk to people or make small talk with strangers... I guess it's good practice.

But, I'm... alright. The event in ViViD-- ..It was a little much for me. [YOU KNOW. THE KILLING PART.]

[Rock Lee has been making his way through the city while toting his oversized backpack. He had been thinking about seeing Yuri at some point in the day, when suddenly he notices a familiar figure in a crowd. A bright smile was instantly born on his face in response to the sight. He then quickly tries to work his way towards her while calling out.]

Yuri! Yuri, it is I, Rock Lee!

[Yuri stops mid-step, faltering slightly in surprise at the sudden address. But she recognizes the voice and turns to face Lee, smiling slightly]

Yes, I know. I could recognize your voice anywhere. [She still has those flowers in her arms, and she feels a bit self-conscious about them now] Everything okay?

You do?! Ah... I am sure that I could recognize yours anywhere as well. Even in extreme environments! [He approaches her with a bright smile - his eyes do drift towards the flowers for a moment, and he notices them before returning his gaze towards Yuri's eyes. They are such pretty flowers... He feels like he would envy whoever they are intended for.]

Everything is alright! There is nothing to worry about, Yur- ack!

[He is distracted as his backpack gets accidentally hooked onto a passing droid, and he stumbles and flails for a moment as he's dragged along with it.]

Lee--! [OH GOD.

Bye Lee, rest in fucking pieces.

Okay, no she drops the flowers in her surprise and hurries forward to try and help him dislodge himself.]

Wait, hold on! [The droid doesn't seem to care that its dragging a helpless victim along, though. Yuri struggles to keep up and mess with the backpack at the same time.]

[exCUSE YOU. Despite Yuri's ability to control her emotions (or rater, to just never react to anything ever) she takes on an almost comical expression of bafflement.]

My-- face? [She's actually wearing a bit of make-up (mostly to try and hide how exhausted she is because killing someone for the first time makes it hard to sleep), so she assumes he's commenting about that] It's just-- I tried make-up... Is it bad? [What is happening]

( The reason that Cassandra spends so much time at the gym is that the routine is comforting. In a world where so much is different, this, at least, is familiar.

To that end, when something disturbs her peace and quiet, Cassandra tends to notice. And the woman carrying a bouquet of flowers? Certainly out of the ordinary. She pauses in the hallway, raising her eyebrows at the visitor. )

[Yuri stops short, eyes widening just slightly at someone suddenly addressing her. She still hasn't grown used to people really acknowledging her and it takes her a moment to think of how to respond.

She looks at the flowers, then at Cassandra, a tad embarrassed] Is, ah... Lee works here, doesn't he? I was... [The flowers shift as she adjusts them] I was looking for him.
