What: It started with a goat. Then it all just went downhill from there. AKA Rise Kujikawa and the mysterious memories event.

[It started with a goat. Honestly, at first she thought that she'd dreamed it, that maybe it was just an extension of the white feathers she saw in her dreams recently but no. She wakes up and there sure is a wispy little goat at the foot of her bed. She stares…and the goat bleats flatly at her. It's a sad-looking thing, but as she tries to get closer it seems to disappear immediately.

Wow. That's weird.]

A.) is for Academy

[It's a normal school day. With everyone back from the dead and her worries a little more at ease, she can concentrate a little easier. It's quiet in the Study Hall period of the day and she's working on some homework when she spots the goat out of the corner of her eye…approaching a wastebasket. She hasn't realized it can't change much of the world around them, but she'll get that memo as soon as she gets up and stealthily tries to approach the animal.

Of course, the goat suddenly moves and it startles her and her arms suddenly pinwheel as she yells, trying to balance on her high heels so she doesn't bite the dust. Are you going to catch her? Let her fall? Fall with her? Sorry about all of that.]

B.) is for Bad Places Rise Shouldn't Wander

[This goat is seriously way more trouble than it's worth. She's not sure where it came from or why it's in such poor condition, but she's taken to following it around the colony to make sure it doesn't get too far out of her sight. It's for that reason she doesn't even realize she winds up right in the middle of the Pleasure District. The goat's paused, and if it's possible it gives her a knowing look despite its lack of real expression.

(Is it possible that this goat knows about her dungeon?)

She ends up in a staring contest with the goat, narrowing her eyes when she realizes she's standing in front of a love hotel.]

Don't even think about it. [She sure was talking to the goat, but it's not that hard to overhear her.]

C.) is for Cafe

[Everything is exhausting. She's sprawled over a chair almost ungracefully and that goat hovers around near her feet, but at least its not moving. On occasion, she'll be writing neat lines in a notebook and sipping her tea, though she frowning in concentration. There's an extra chair at her table though. Feel free to ask if you can join her or even be nosy about what she's doing, she won't mind.

On the other hand, if you're a friend or even someone she recognizes, she'll look up and smile brightly before pushing the chair out with her foot.]

D.) is for Dancing Games

[Sometimes Rise likes to play games. Sometimes Rise likes to use the game station to practice and when she gets bored of dancing in her room this is the next best thing. However, she's found at the game center today in front of one of the dancing games, and as she watches the colorful arrows fall across the screen she's continually missing and whines in frustration.]

Ugh, come on! This should be really easy! [And it would be…if she actually remembered how to dance. It's like all memories and coordination have left her and she's left trying really hard to fix that. Help her? Challenge her? Question her?]

E.) is for Everything Else!

[If you want to run into her while she's out shopping, at work as a model/karaoke star/tofu connoisseur, or if housemates want to do apartment shenanigans here you go!]

A perfect gentleman as always. [It's one of the reasons she likes Flynn truth be told. He's always been genuinely kind toward her and. You know. Doesn't hurt that he's a knight. It's for the best that CERES skipped right over him because the goat's bad enough. It's easier for Rise to monitor now than it was when she first work up.]

I wish I could say yes, but I try not to lie to my friends. [She ducks her head.] I've been practicing for the last twenty minutes.

[twenty minutes and with so little improvement? again, that's pretty impressive if in the worst way.]

Why not take a break? Sometimes resting for a few minutes leads to improvement or at very least will let you regain some energy.

[one of the most difficult lessons to learn is when to call it quits. ...unless rise's like flynn and doesn't know when to quit sometimes, but hopefully she's a bit brighter than that.]

You really think that'll help? I'm worried about losing rhythm if I stop for too long. [She and Flynn are both stubborn, it seems. Calling it quits isn't really an option she wants to consider at all.] I just don't understand why it's so bad. I do this all the time. [...] Not this game, but things like it!

[stubborn birds of a feather flock together. she raises a good point, too, but flynn'll argue it if need be. people (who aren't him, of course) need to take breaks when necessary!]

You mean like regular dancing?

[it's the only thing that comes to mind when thinking of things like this.]

[FLYNN!! Don't make her argue with you about breaks, too, mister! But she's a little busy looking too miserable to actually answer because he's hit the nail on the head.]

Regular dancing. It's part of my idol routine...I haven't had a lesson in months but I like to keep up on my own. [Flynn doesn't seem to be moving at all, and that has the goat curious. It hops down from the dancepad and starts to limp its way over to him, Rise more focused on pouting at the machine than where her goat is going.] It helps pass the time here, too.

[shhh, what rise doesn't know won't hurt her! and that miserable look is already bad enough without throwing in any break worries on top of it!

but huh. coming from a fantasy-esque world means things like idols don't really exist. thanks to this world, the word idol isn't unfamiliar, but he still lacks more than passing knowledge about what it is or what one's routine would look like.]

Idol routine?

I guess in other worlds they'd be called musicians. Idols are a pretty big deal where I come from. They're people who're supposed to sing and dance and perform and be role models for the population. When I was working I was doing all of that and I was acting in commercials and some movie parts, too. It's a lot of work, you know? You have to be in the best shape possible to be the best. I've been doing it for years.

It's impressive that you've done something so difficult for so long.

[since she seems young and doing it for years means having started even younger. yup, color him impressed.]

Perhaps a game simply isn't the same as a real perform and that might be hindering your progress?

Maybe that's true. At least with real dancing you can improvise if you need to. [She hadn't considered that, really, but it's also no excuse. She's about to step off of the platform completely but her goat rushes past her trying to get ahead. In the process though, it runs right over Flynn's foot, triggering a brand new scene.

It's a room filled with cameras and bright lights, microphones held up and people paying close attention to the front of the room. At the head of it all is Rise behind one long table facing the onslaught of reporters. Her manager's at her side, but she navigates the questions alone.

"I imagine your fans must be worried because of your sudden hiatus. are you suffering from any health problems?"

"No, my health isn't an issue or anything…" She looks almost bored with the interview, doing her best to keep level-headed.

"Is it related to your mental health?"

"Huh? No, it's not." The reporters are eating it up, cameras rolling to televise the entire press conference.

"Is it true that you'll be taking your break in Inaba?"

"Yes." She's learned that you only answer the most minimum questions in these things. A new reporter interjects though.

"Excuse me, but why a break?" And before Rise can answer, Inoue-san slides in to cut the interview short.

"Rise has no further comments."

Another announcer speaks up. "We'll be back after a quick commercial break."

Rise's left alone at the table still staring down the cameras, keeping her head held high and almost unseeing as the memory fades again.]

[good job, little goat, cutting him off mid-sentence thanks to the memory. it takes him off guard and the surprise shows on his face.

rise... she appears so sad and simply opposite her normal bubbly self. as the memory fades, flynn himself frowns and doesn't immediately speak up. though not anything tragic, seeing rise so unhappy is enough to make anyone unhappy themselves. being idol really must be a difficult occupation.]

[The goat's kind of rude as shit, but Rise can't really speak for it seeing how her head is currently buried in her hands to ward off the dizzy spell. She doesn't see Flynn's response, but she recognizes this feeling enough that when she does speak up the tone is flat.]

…you saw something, too, didn't you? [She trusts Flynn to be honest with her, but at least she doesn't sound too upset by this.]

I did.

[flynn won't be one to disappoint that trust. honesty is just what he does.]

You were seated before a group of reporters and speaking to them about some sort of hiatus.

[and she looked so... un-rise, which is the most worrying part and said worry comes across in flynn's voice. the rise in that vision is so completely opposite the vibrant and cheery one he's come to know.]

Flynn, do you know what a hiatus really means? [She's not condescending in her question, but she's genuinely curious if someone like him would understand.] That press conference was almost a year ago. It was broadcasted everywhere.

The definition I'm familiar with is it being a prolonged break from an activity.
