What: It started with a goat. Then it all just went downhill from there. AKA Rise Kujikawa and the mysterious memories event.

[It started with a goat. Honestly, at first she thought that she'd dreamed it, that maybe it was just an extension of the white feathers she saw in her dreams recently but no. She wakes up and there sure is a wispy little goat at the foot of her bed. She stares…and the goat bleats flatly at her. It's a sad-looking thing, but as she tries to get closer it seems to disappear immediately.

Wow. That's weird.]

A.) is for Academy

[It's a normal school day. With everyone back from the dead and her worries a little more at ease, she can concentrate a little easier. It's quiet in the Study Hall period of the day and she's working on some homework when she spots the goat out of the corner of her eye…approaching a wastebasket. She hasn't realized it can't change much of the world around them, but she'll get that memo as soon as she gets up and stealthily tries to approach the animal.

Of course, the goat suddenly moves and it startles her and her arms suddenly pinwheel as she yells, trying to balance on her high heels so she doesn't bite the dust. Are you going to catch her? Let her fall? Fall with her? Sorry about all of that.]

B.) is for Bad Places Rise Shouldn't Wander

[This goat is seriously way more trouble than it's worth. She's not sure where it came from or why it's in such poor condition, but she's taken to following it around the colony to make sure it doesn't get too far out of her sight. It's for that reason she doesn't even realize she winds up right in the middle of the Pleasure District. The goat's paused, and if it's possible it gives her a knowing look despite its lack of real expression.

(Is it possible that this goat knows about her dungeon?)

She ends up in a staring contest with the goat, narrowing her eyes when she realizes she's standing in front of a love hotel.]

Don't even think about it. [She sure was talking to the goat, but it's not that hard to overhear her.]

C.) is for Cafe

[Everything is exhausting. She's sprawled over a chair almost ungracefully and that goat hovers around near her feet, but at least its not moving. On occasion, she'll be writing neat lines in a notebook and sipping her tea, though she frowning in concentration. There's an extra chair at her table though. Feel free to ask if you can join her or even be nosy about what she's doing, she won't mind.

On the other hand, if you're a friend or even someone she recognizes, she'll look up and smile brightly before pushing the chair out with her foot.]

D.) is for Dancing Games

[Sometimes Rise likes to play games. Sometimes Rise likes to use the game station to practice and when she gets bored of dancing in her room this is the next best thing. However, she's found at the game center today in front of one of the dancing games, and as she watches the colorful arrows fall across the screen she's continually missing and whines in frustration.]

Ugh, come on! This should be really easy! [And it would be…if she actually remembered how to dance. It's like all memories and coordination have left her and she's left trying really hard to fix that. Help her? Challenge her? Question her?]

E.) is for Everything Else!

[If you want to run into her while she's out shopping, at work as a model/karaoke star/tofu connoisseur, or if housemates want to do apartment shenanigans here you go!]

[Hello little cat. Rise would pat it on the head if she knew it was there, but she's soon realizing it's definitely there the moment she's kicked into Otome's memory.

For the most part, the memory seems pretty chill. It's casual, and she thinks she recognizes Hiro from around the network. That part doesn't surprise her so much. The earthquake is a little alarming, and she doesn't understand what "buds" she's talking about, but it's when the demons appear that she seems to realize what Otome was trying to tell her.

She's curious how they can fight them, of course, but when the memory ends she's giving her the most perplexed look.]

Jack Frost…Pyro Jack…Flauros? [Those are the ones she immediately recognized and she's giving her another confused look.] They're demons?

... [ She almost wonders which memory that was, but what surprises her the most here is-- ]

As far as I know, demons are all they've ever been.

Yeah. They're Personas that Yu-senpai can use. [Which...now makes her wonder what the hell...] Otome-san, what exactly do you guys classify as demons?

Anything the Demon Summoning App would classify as one, you could say. Although they tend to call themselves demons...

[ they tend to be very proud of it. ]

But are all demons bad? [Wait, hold on.] There's an app for that?

Thanks to a friend of mine, yes. Since we can't summon our allies on our own, the app lets us do that.

... So to answer your first question, not all demons are bad, and you can certainly convince them to help you, but the majority do try to kill people.

They sound like the Shadows...has anyone here told you about those? I'm not the only Persona user here, so I wasn't sure...

I can't say I've ever heard of either term before now... it's incredible enough to know there are apparent similarities.

You should meet Yu-senpai sometime. He's the only one of us who can summon multiple Personas, and sometimes they can combine together to be even more powerful. The demons you're describing sound like the kind of monsters we fought inside the TV world...they were called Shadows. They're creatures mostly made from negative human emotions, I guess? But with our Personas we can beat them so they can't hurt us.

It's a little different, I think... most of the demons we fight have their own personalities and would probably be offended if we said they came from human emotions.

... But a TV world?

The Shadows kind of have personalities, too. Personas, too. They might not be super distinctive all the time but they're there. [But she smiles slyly.] My friends and I have the ability to travel into the Midnight Channel through the TV. I think Yu-senpai discovered it first. Not many people know about it, and not a lot of people can get there either. I don't think it even exists in Cerealia.

It's true that I've never heard of it... so it's a separate place where these... Shadows are?

[ Fumi would have a field day. ]

Yeah. The Shadows can't really come out to our world and they mostly live in the TV world except for Teddie. [And up until Arena happens, but whatever.] But it was always easy to tell when things were going wrong in the TV world based on how foggy it was in our world. They were sort of in sync that way. Anyone could see the Midnight Channel, but I don't know how they determined who could and couldn't enter the TV. I didn't know about it until I was kidnapped.

The demons didn't really have that much trouble entering our world, although that mostly had to do with emerging through people's cellphones. The premise itself seems to be different, but using media as a portal...

[ But then she stops. ]

You were kidnapped??

The TV was like a window to our souls and humanity's wishes, or at least that's how it was interpreted or whatever. [The whole thing was honestly a lot...she's not sure how to explain it without overwhelming poor Otome. (Then again, demons...)]

Half of our team was kidnapped and thrown into the TV at one point because the man doing it thought he was saving us. That wasn't true, of course, but we didn't learn about all of this until months later when we were trying to find the real killer. I was inside the TV world until Yu-senpai and the others rescued me and beat my Shadow.

Which allowed you to gain a Persona.

[ ... well, that part isn't too different from allying with demons. But a TV world that was a window to the soul? People being thrown inside? Even to Otome, that's a little bizarre. ]

Yeah. Well, sort of? The others had to beat my Shadow in a fight, but it was still up to me to accept her as a part of myself. That's what we all had to do. That's the only thing that allowed them to change from bad to good and work with us instead of trying to kill us from being repressed for so long. People who didn't accept their Shadows and didn't fight them were killed.

There's something to be said about having the strength to accept yourself... but to think it'd be something so literal.

[ Seriously... she's seen a lot of odd things, but at least things had never come to this. ]

We never would have thought it was so literal either, but at least we only had to do it once. Now our Personas can just keep getting stronger and stronger to help us fight! Which...I guess means we're getting a lot stronger, too.

[There's a pause.] Otome-san? Is it possible for you to summon demons here?

It is, yes. But only two at a time. I can't do much about accessing the compendium here.

[ ... which is probably for the best. ]

Yu-senpai can only access a few of his Persona here, too. You'd think they'd be able to recover all of our data after they "saved us." [She can't help but sound a little annoyed with CERES, but that's quick to change.] Do you think you could show me sometime?

I can actually show you now, or whenever you'd like to head outside. If not, we can save it for another day.

...some fresh air might be nice. [A small smile.] It's getting a little stuffy in here anyway. And I can introduce you to Kanzeon, too, when we're out there.

Well then, shall we?

[ she'll rise carefully and offer Rise her arm like a true gentle... woman. ]

[What a saint. Rise will actually take her arm for the moment because standing up and not being dizzy is still a feat, but she's grateful even as they make their way outside. At least the area around the cafe itself seems clear.]

Hey. It doesn't do any damage to you to summon the demons does it? I know you said it's with an app, but...just wondering.
