[It started at work: a feeling of being more tired than usual, of getting worn out when the day was only half over, a vague ache in Raven's chest. They're all things Raven's used to by now, because that's just how his body is. He doesn't complain about being old for nothing, because more often than not, he feels it. ...Not that it stops him getting by, so as with a lot of things with Raven, his complaints are exaggerated half-truths at best.

Today's a little different, though. As well as that unusual tiredness, on his way home through the Entertainment District he's hit by a sudden shortness of breath, and a sharp ache that tells him his heart isn't working like it should. He stops to brace himself against the nearest wall, clutching his chest until he stops feeling so breathless.]

C'mon, stupid body. Let's move it...

[Raven mutters it under his breath, urging himself to move before he makes a scene. He does debate whether he should call Rideaux, but it's not an emergency, right? And pestering the guy involves more energy than he really has right now. So it seems like he's stuck here, at least until he feels up for moving again.]

[She's pretty close by when this happens, so after she spots this guy clutching his chest? It only takes her seconds to rush over to him, ready to help out. Not entirely sure how much help she'll be, exactly, but. Well. She has a mouth and two legs. She could probably get him to someone who actually knows first aid or whatever, if it's needed.]

Excuse me— [Politely concerned tone, go.] Do you need help?

[Still supporting himself against the wall, he looks over with an apologetic frown. He really hadn't meant to cause any worry like this, especially for a stranger -- and particularly because there's not much to be done to help.]

I'll... I'll be okay. I just need a minute.

If you're sure...

[Ah. Are these old man problems? They could be old man problems. She's not... entirely sure. And she's not going to ask, either. So.]

I'll stay with you until you're feeling well, though. You wouldn't mind the company, would you?

Oh, uh... [He's taken aback by the offer, not that he should be surprised by now. There's so many do-gooders around Cerealia and all. He forces himself to offer a sheepish smile.]

You sure you wanna hang around with a tired old man?

I'm not in a hurry. [Also—] And I would bring bad luck onto myself if you ended up collapsing after I left, anyway.

[She shrugs. This can count as her good deed for the week, honestly. Get some good karma rolling or whatever.]

I won't pry, but... Clutching your chest seems like a bad sign altogether. This doesn't happen often, does it?
