Thought for food [Open!]
Who: Eiji (
powertotearer), more adorable robot buddies, and you
When: IC 8/10
Where: In the gardens, along the water
What: Eiji needs to think a bit. And eat. That would be good too.
Rating/Warning: None so far
Eiji had not enjoyed his last stint in ViViD. Locked in a threatening place, dead people that looked way too familiar, and of course the terrifying moment of being strapped to an operating table for experiments, again.
There was really only so long he could spend in his apartment, moping, especially when most of the appliances weren't working and he really needed to eat.
So, if you were Eiji, you'd go out, find a spot along the water, and start a fire to grill up some fish--fish that he'd had to buy, when he realized he had no idea what species in the water were sentient and/or poisonous. But an impromptu cookout was enough to help clear his mind for a little.
What also helped? Three new candroids--two Battas and one Kujaku, who were happily playing with Eiji's two Takos.
Also, if any of the candroids were celebrating the malfunctioning of the inferior CYbuddy oppressors? Well, Eiji was trying not to notice.

They were ready for confrontation. After all, they'd put up with the tyranny of everyone's
actually very nice and generally non-threateningoppressive CYbuddy overlords, and they weren't about to give in to more!So be careful how you proceed, faeries. Because the candroids were ready to turn this into a mascot turf war, right out of West Side Story.

"Fall in!"
Oops. Instead of starting Mascot War I, they fall back and snap into an orderly row as Togo wheels herself closer. "Sorry about that. Sometimes they get too excited if I'm not paying attention."

That would be Eiji suddenly realizing what's going on behind him. He scrambles to his feet and grabs one of the Takos out of the air.
"No, I'm sorry. They've been a little too happy that the CYbuddies have been malfunctioning around here. I thought they'd do better with more friends, but I guess not."

Now that they promised to play nice, Eiji let them go, and they floated and hopped over to the waterside, to pick on the smaller aquatic aliens.
"I guess yours are magic, maybe?" He didn't have a lot of experience with magic, not enough to know much, but he figured if it wasn't technology, it had to be the other.

"...divine spirits, maybe? The were created by gods, so that sounds right." She sounds kind of uncertain, still.

It might be both.
What caught her attention and caused her to slow down were the playful little constructs. As the only person in the area who might have an idea, Chihiro cautiously approached Eiji. "Do you know what those are, sir?" Better to ask from a polite distance than presume he knew one way or another.

"They're called candroids--they're kind of like the CYbuddies you can find around here, but don't tell them that."
Of course, one of the Takos did hear that, and it flew over to presumably argue with him, based on its swinging tentacles.

She nods her head toward the incoming Tako. "Nice to meet you, Candroid-san."
... She might be hazy on how aware these different creatures might be.
no subject
And despite the grave insult over comparing them to CYbuddies, Tako made a bowing notion toward Chihiro. Also, incidentally, going right in front of Eiji as if to moon him. Rude.

But now, a concerned look toward that bag. "Are you okay? Do you need any help with that?"

He also wondered whether the simple fact that they existed in this world made them slightly suspect, a thought that was at the forefront as one of the Battas decided to hop onto his lap and he picked it up to look at it. He still preferred these to being stuck with only a CereVice for communication, but was it any safer when CERES was the one handing them the technology from home?

Speaking of Eiji, he looked over at Ankh and smiled tiredly, offering some fish. "Guess you got tired of all of the malfunctions too?"
no subject
"I wonder what it means." So many things malfunctioning at once couldn't be a coincidence.
no subject
"It might be a saboteur," he admitted finally. "I heard Jin and Ryuuga talking about someone in CERES who might be on our side. I'm not sure how true that is, but it might be someone who hates CERES enough to want to see if we want to bring it down."
no subject
"I wouldn't be surprised. I don't think there are many people here who like them."
no subject
"If that's the case, though, I don't see how they'd be getting us on their side."
no subject
"Hey, Takeru, what do you think those thing are? They don't look like any CyBuddy I've seen here." He said before Takeru looked back at him before putting a finger on his mouth.
"I don't know but it's not polite to talk about someone! And especially when they're nearby too...!"
no subject
"They're not CYbuddies, not exactly. They're mine from home."
Well, good to get that one out of the way before the candroids got all huffy again.
"You're not friends of Hikari's, are you?"
no subject
But until he figures it out? He'll focus on the other thing instead! "Yeah, I am! But...I guess you must have seen her with Tailmon haven't you?"
So much for trying to surprise him with Patamon.

"No, I'm not Taichi-san! I'm her friend who went to the Digital World with her! She didn't mention someone named Takeru did she?"
That and he couldn't help but be a little curious.
no subject
Because clearly, Takeru was always older than Hikari, right?
