What: PARTY TIME. Well, a party so Rin can actually make friends since she secretly complains about not having any!

[Cooking for a large amount of people is what Archer was all about. Might as well call him the Chef Heroic Spirit instead of the Blacksmith Heroic Spirit. This guy was a complete pro in the kitchen and completely without complaint!

Tons of food, cake, and nachos and cheese and salsa (don't ask). Serving it was left up to Saber since she was still probably under punishment. Either way, she had to make up for her issues in some way!

So for everyone here, they just had to chill out and wait for Rin to return home. Which should be shortly if she's not trying to be an absolute brat. Which, admittedly, happens sometimes.]

To be fair, it's not as if I haven't displayed some sort of foolishness, so I might have deserved it...

Well, I'm happy to help get rid of all the food if he is. [ She helps herself to a bowl of nachos. ] Something tells me it ain't gonna be a problem at all. [ CHOMP. CHOMP. ]

[Ai's just slowly enjoying the cake. Can't be rude by stuffing herself silly like the first time with the buffet.]

Oh, not at all. I arrived here with the last group. Needless to say, it was quite overwhelming especially when they explained the situation in such a mundane way.

[ Ryuko's not sure if selfish is the right word, but it's definitely not normal! ]

Exciting? What, did your world suck or something? I know things could be worse here, but... I dunno. What about your friends?

There is business I certainly need to return to and people that I'm concerned for. Make no mistake about that.

But as long as we're here it's good to discover new things if that makes sense...

I think so... [ It barely makes sense. There seems to be a certain naivete to the young girl, Ryuko can at least see that much, and can't blame her for being driven to see and experience new things in life. Ryuko, on the other hand, has a hard time letting go and is conditioned to hold grudges. When she finally found her true happiness in her world only for it to be taken away again, well, one can imagine why she sees everything else as just a distraction. ]

What kinda things have ya discovered so far?

Well, for one thing, it's not as hard to make acquaintances as I first thought! As long as I'm not super presumptuous, it's all good!

Eh..?? Is that like a general problem for you? What kinda "presumptions" can one have that get in the way of friendship? [ Does she assume everyone's a murderer or perverted deviant or something?! ]

Um. It's embarrassing to admit, but I'm used to people not having a high opinion of me...

Is that all? Geez, ya make it sound like you're a nuisance or something. [ Ryuko would normally be wondering if that's because the person in question did something terrible in the past, but this girl seems entirely harmless to her so far. ]

Y'know... where I'm from, the word "ai" means "love". So, who knows? It could mean something. [ She's not very superstitious about these things, but can't hurt to make her feel better at least? ]

But as I was sayin', no matter which way it goes, whether you love everyone or everyone loves you... well, it ain't really something to turn one's nose up at, right? [ GOD, this is so corny for her. ...But being corny once in a while isn't bad either. ] You'll make friends, Ai.

[She listens to Ryuko's words and there's something really refreshing about them. Corny, yeah, but Ai is someone who can appreciate sappy and sentimental things.]
