What: PARTY TIME. Well, a party so Rin can actually make friends since she secretly complains about not having any!

[Cooking for a large amount of people is what Archer was all about. Might as well call him the Chef Heroic Spirit instead of the Blacksmith Heroic Spirit. This guy was a complete pro in the kitchen and completely without complaint!

Tons of food, cake, and nachos and cheese and salsa (don't ask). Serving it was left up to Saber since she was still probably under punishment. Either way, she had to make up for her issues in some way!

So for everyone here, they just had to chill out and wait for Rin to return home. Which should be shortly if she's not trying to be an absolute brat. Which, admittedly, happens sometimes.]

[ Aware of the things said about her thanks to Archer's post on the network, Rin's done her best to avoid people since then. What's the point when she's a liar (which she argues She Is Not) and she's done nothing to please others? Not that she cares about any of that (she so cares), not when she can be busy trying to access the files within CERES or modifying the technology here for her own purpose. People are a distraction and so avoiding them is in her best interest.

Except that's seemingly impossible today.

Archer's gone out of his way to invite a number of people she can't stand among others. Surely this is retaliation for interrupting the fight between Saber and Shirou Emiya, as a punishment for getting involved. Duly noted, she won't involve herself in their business further.

So she'll spend her evening trying to avoid everyone. HAVE FUN WITH THAT. ]

...I invited people here so you could give everyone a good impression and have a lasting relationship. That's going to be a bit difficult if you act like this.

No, I expect them to get along with you and for you to at least be polite in return.

But that's entirely out of my control. At the very least, I had hoped you'd be happy that someone cares enough to do this for you.

I'm content with it just being you and Saber.

I understand that. However, you need allies and not enemies. There are plenty of people who will accept you for who you are so you don't need to worry about changing yourself.

You may even argue and fight with those people but it's still the same.

Archer, are you afraid that both of you are going to leave and then I'll have no one? Because I don't understand where all of this is coming from.

[ She doesn't need friends. ] The people here--myself included--are already dead. Our worlds are gone. It's unlikely that we'll ever be truly real. It's been so long since I've been alive that I can't even tell if what we are now are real or just entries in a database.

What good is there in pursuing relationships when there's nothing for it in the long run?

But I have to say, are you mad? Are you happy? Are you feeling any emotion? If so, take the chance and indulge yourself, no matter the circumstance.

Which is to say that she's standing off to the side, kind of awkward and unsure of how she should really interact with the others here, but when she sees Rin, she approaches her with a small smile.]

[ Grams please, she's trying to ignore people... Oh well, when it's Sakura she can't ignore her outright so she straightens her posture and is a bit more mindful about her skirt falling a little further down than usual. ]

It could be better. [ Of course she greets her with a complaint. ]

... but Archer as well as Saber have tried really hard so I'll pretend to enjoy it for their sake.

[Somehow she's not surprised to hear a complaint from Rin. It's not like she minds though, so she simply nods.]

Archer certainly seemed determined to throw you this party. [She didn't even think he was the type of person to do things like parties tbh....] But you're rally not having fun at all?

I'm not the type to surround myself with a lot of friends, but a smaller circle of people I'm closer towards. Quality over quantity or something like that.

[ Looking off to the side. ] And it's as if they invited everyone I have trouble with on top of it all.

That makes sense. Having good friends sounds a lot better than having casual acquaintances. [Talking about it like a foreign concept tbh...]

But really? Why didn't they invite people you got along with?

If you're asking for my opinion... I think it's because the people I get along with annoy them. We might have a mutual love in annoying Archer.

[ No, no one is allowed to be nice to Archer. ] Honestly, it's probably... not done as maliciously as I make it out to be.

Archer wants me to have friends so he gathered people who are like me and are tolerant. If he knew that I thought fondly of Uzumaki or Lee--or even Emiya, he probably would have invited them.

[Having just arrived to a place Saber had invited her to, Grell holds a small bag that is longer than it is wide. Inside is various confections of cookies and small cakes. It wouldn't do to attend empty handed after all.

Unfamiliar with her surroundings, Grell turns a corner and seems to have bumped into a blonde, young woman. Luckily Grell wasn't in a rush or it could have been more than just a bump.]

Oh! My apologies, dear!

You should be sorry. [ It comes out suddenly, as if she didn't really mean to say it, but now that she has, Rin has no choice other than to own it. ]

Another new person... a woman, so I know Archer didn't invite you.

Actually, I take it back. I'm now sorry I didn't run you over. And for your information, Miss Saber was kind enough to invite me, but I must question the company she keeps.

I'd introduce myself as her Master, but everyone's gotten the wrong idea about that so let's just say I'm a Resistance leader? Something like that sounds more appealing to both Saber and myself.

[Grell does notice how short she is, and her youth. There is a smile on her face, although it could be quite smarmy.]
