Welcome to the CERES! You are now under arrest!

Did you think the glitches were over? Boy, were you wrong! Through the last remnants of the digital kerfluffle, the latest batch of recovered code has manifested in CERES' computer systems as the guilty parties. Yes, that's right, all incoming arrivals are now placed on the wanted list, accused of having committed the heinous crime of creating and releasing the gorg0n virus all over Cerealia. These vicious twelve have been working together all along and conspiring against CERES, and it's now up to everyone to figure out if the new arrivals are truly guilty or if they are as innocent and confused as they claim.

In the meantime, CERES has dispatched assassination droids to stop the accused and bring them to justice via disembowelment. So while CERES rushes to stop the droids from committing murder, characters are perfectly welcome to a.) soil themselves b.) fight off the droids c.) run while soiling themselves or d.) cry a lot. e.) ask for assistance!

PHASE I

[ 0001 ] It's a minute passed midnight, and the newest sets of recovered code are being spat out of ViViD and into Cerealia. Before the joyful reunions begin, an announcement starts blaring through everyone's computer screen, TV sets, devices, billboard screens, and so on. The image flashes with twelve names and twelve pictures along with a list of crimes each person has committed. They continue to flash again and again throughout the colony, alerting everyone of these heinous criminals. It's up to anyone if they want to engage them or stay far, far away from these perverts and miscreants.

As the arrivals begin to explore, they will see themselves plastered on just about every screen imaginable.

PHASE II

[ 200 ] It's still dark outside, hardly anyone out and about. It's the perfect time for an assassination attempt because that's when the information is received and processed by Cerealia's judicial system, but this isn't a job for any ordinary donut-eating cop. No, this is far greater than that. They bring out the big guns.

Twelve assassination droids, clad in armor and carrying katana, are immediately dispatched and sent to take out each of the accused at any cost. Characters are welcome to do any of the above choices while veterans to Cerealia can assist the arrivals, assist the droids, or just sit back and watch others suffer. It's completely up to you. They can also run into the droids on their search and try to interact with them.

PHASE III

[ 700 ] Your friendly CEO has finally gotten his ass out of bed, but by then, who knows how many people are left alive? After hearing of the kerfluffle, he decides to issue a cease and desist on the assassination droids, and instead, has his investigation units step in to confirm that the new arrivals are not guilty of any of the crimes and charges listed under their name. They will be pulled aside for painful, painful questioning before being released to explore as they wish.

To make up for all the damages and trauma incurred from the near-death attempts, Julius will also be giving the new arrivals a settlement of 20,000 credits each, so go out and party.

PHASE IV

[ 1200 ] By noon, the incident has been cleared up with little to no blood spilled (hopefully). New arrivals are welcome to explore and enjoy their new living arrangements or possibly lie in bed and just cry some more. Either way, welcome to the magic that is Cerealia. The CEO will announce that the last of the virus has been officially cleaned up and taken care of, and he'll be issuing a video with a public apology for all.

BONUS

[ whyo'clock ] Among the police droids dispatched, there will be a rehabilitative droid in a dinosaur suit, looking to cure the criminals of their improper behavior and their moral indiscretions through the power of LOVE and HUGS. It was developed after the researchers in CERES did extensive research on other worlds and found that this mystical creature was capable of creating worldwide joy and cheer. It will be chasing those who are on the Wanted List exclusively, but it will not stop at just them. Your character will be accosted and hugged whether they like it or not.

Normally, you probably wouldn't be able to see me, either. Not that many can see spirits. [ Hokuto shrugs. ] It must be something that went off when I was uploaded. It's like I'm possessing a body that looks just like mine, more or less.

Somehow this feels even more weird than all the anime shit he's seen around here. Maybe since it still hits fairly close to his own world, yet is super weird at the same time. ]

[ He actually doesn't hesitate really before answering. That pause is just the time it takes for his expression to fall from "sort of grumpy but alright" all the way to "I just smelled a fart and I know exactly who was the culprit". Just a split second.

Because of course he thinks of Kazama, and he thinks of Kaoru.. and those are only the definite douchebags he knows of, god knows what else is out there. ]

Let's put it in a different way then. I think you seem like an okay guy. [ He doesn't seem like a bad guy, anyway.. serious and maybe a little boring because of it, but hanging around Saitou for years has taught Shinpachi you sometimes need to look a little beyond that. ] Does it make more sense to you why I'd tell you that way?

[ He's not a supporter of violence, even if it's against the robots that he's scared of (having one try to kill you does that to you), so no, he doesn't really like where that went. ]

[ It's the whole fact that they're women's shoes. He's not going to handle this weird kidnapping situation in women's shoes. He hasn't reached that level of desperation yet, though he just might if he steps on anything else particularly sharp. His feet aren't exactly enjoying the abuse here.

He sighs after a moment, already worn out by the magnitude of inexplicable events he has to deal with here. the longer he stays, the less things make sense, so he's not sure how to reconcile it enough to find a way back home. He wonders if the people from back home even know if he's missing yet. Surely, Sousuke would go looking for him, at least... they were just talking to one another before he'd woken up here.

He hates abandoning them like that, too. It's bad enough he came in late because of his flight. ]

Before I woke up here, I was in Japan. I was going over drills with my team the day before all the big races at Nationals. Don't know if they were taken along with me, though.

[ Speaking of which- he gives his own jacket a tug, showing her the school logo. ]

You've seen anyone else walking around with this thing?

[ Rin's pretty relieved by the sight of the interior, having expected something a lot worse given what he knows of the general state of teenage boys' rooms. Then again, this guy hasn't exactly struck him as anything remotely resembling a normal teenage boy, yet. He doesn't know anyone back home who carries a gun around and who'd just casually take out a homicidal robot without blinking.

He has a feeling he's just walked into a place more terrifying than he can imagine, but he's trying to keep his cool for now. He's not locked up or tied up at the moment, which means he can at least explore and investigate on finding a way out of here and getting back home. That's a plus, at least. Some semblance of freedom and a roof over his head... it's a lot better than typical hostage situations.

He's sure he can figure something out given time, and he's not alone even if he's not a 100% sure he should even trust this guy. Well, it's too late to turn back now that he's here inside his apartment. ]

[ He manages a small smile even if his facial muscles are still tight with tension and unease. ]

[ ...that's a really long time to be dead. Explains the weird clothes, though. And the general archaic vibe around this guy, but Rin's still not having it. He refuses to believe ghosts are just walking around where he can talk and touch them because that would mean he'd have to be dead, too.

Plus, this would be a really shitty afterlife. Dying at seventeen then spending his time as a dead person being chased by a robot... plus, his feet are all cut and bleeding, which really shouldn't be happening if he was dead. ]

It's still not possible! I get that technically we all died and they can download the dead or whatever, but I just don't see how they can.

[ It upends his understanding of life in general. How can they be reduced to errant bits of code? ]

They didn't even really explain it that much. Just said all our worlds were destroyed, and we're what they could recover. Is that really all there is to it?

If that's what you really think, then just don't talk about it form this point on.

[ Otherwise, they won't ever truly get passed it, and the topic has long since gotten kind of out-of-hand in this place. There has to be something better to discuss like surviving here or why they hell they're even here in the first place... Those are two things that haven't been addressed firmly enough, and Rin is not about to forget that this is a kidnapping situation regardless of how many credit cards and free apartments they throw his way.

It doesn't make him forget the fact that he's not home right now, and he's starting to worry he may never see it again. ]

[ He tries to recall more about what happened before he came. It definitely wasn't anything remotely devastating. ]

[That answer comes easily, at least. He knew what Shinpachi was getting at originally, of course. But hearing someone who seemed otherwise so good-natured confirm that there were people here who were trouble is worth knowing. It's interesting, really.
