![]() Did you think the glitches were over? Boy, were you wrong! Through the last remnants of the digital kerfluffle, the latest batch of recovered code has manifested in CERES' computer systems as the guilty parties. Yes, that's right, all incoming arrivals are now placed on the wanted list, accused of having committed the heinous crime of creating and releasing the gorg0n virus all over Cerealia. These vicious twelve have been working together all along and conspiring against CERES, and it's now up to everyone to figure out if the new arrivals are truly guilty or if they are as innocent and confused as they claim. In the meantime, CERES has dispatched assassination droids to stop the accused and bring them to justice via disembowelment. So while CERES rushes to stop the droids from committing murder, characters are perfectly welcome to a.) soil themselves b.) fight off the droids c.) run while soiling themselves or d.) cry a lot. e.) ask for assistance!

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's arrival experience and a FAQ that should explain everything in more detail. Please read them thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |

Ah, you're not bad at all!
[ Though he thinks to himself that some of it might be the novelty of her weapon... He keeps his sword ready to attack again, but strafes backward as some of those drones close in. They won't attack Soujirou, but he won't complain for the help. ]
no subject
[ Yang punctuates this by two quick punches, this time firing explosive rounds from the gauntlets. It's enough to knock the drones back, and one hard kick will down one completely, before she's sprinting for Soujirou again.
Are we going to have a merry chase QUITE POSSIBLY. ]

All of Soujirou's power is in his legs, so rather than run away, he uses his strength to push towards her instead, though at the last moment, his momentum changes. darting off to the side before he can fire a shot in his face. He swings his sword back, aiming towards her gauntlets, but that's only a minor swing, since he's hoping to catch her back in the moment that she might pass him. ]
no subject
... But no, she's still smiling. ]
Are you trying yet?
no subject
He scarcely has time to think about that before he has to dodge as well, because those shots are much more dangerous to him than fists alone. His strength has always been his speed, but there was only so much he could do against bullets. They were almost cheating, weren't they? Ah, well. At least it gave a little more of a challenge! ]
Haha, nope! Sorry, but I don't like overkill.
[ Once he stands straight again, he taps one foot against the ground, an odd, idle gesture, but then laughs as he cants his head. ]
Well, should I try a little harder, then? I guess I've been pretty rude!

[ He keeps tapping that foot as if he's anxious, but he just smiles a bit more. ]
Well, I guess I'll stop playing around, at least. I'll show you three steps shy of it, since you did a pretty good job of dealing with these.
[ At which point, he nods to the droids, but he stops tapping his foot as his posture lowers. It's like a flash of his own, though there's no light with his, but Soujirou is fast, and it's clear that speed before was holding back quite a bit. He seems to disappear, but it's not impossible to track him with quick eyes. Each step comes down hard, making indentations (or small craters, more like) in the ground as he moves, but it also serves to trace his path, even if it's incredibly quick. It looks like he's going to flank her right side if she can keep up. ]

It's why she braces herself and lashes out with a single, explosive punch before she can actually see him, aiming for the approximate spot. Whether it hits him or not, she'll at least try to drive him back. ]
no subject
[ The punch connects partially, but it's as Soujirou ducks to avoid her fist. The explosive nature still breaks skin and even draws blood, but even then, Soujirou's smile doesn't falter as he sweeps the sword out and forward towards her legs. If it doesn't hit her, it'll at least drive her back, which is what he's hoping for. ]
no subject
Still, she straightens fairly quickly, opting not to favor that leg at all. ]

[ But in a moment, the blood-lust is gone, since as he lifts his other foot to hope, the strap holding the simple straw sandals to his foot breaks, and he looks down toward it. He laughs a little, but as a droid closes in, takes a much more casual step towards Yang and swings his sword out in the same motion. It cleanly beheads the droid, but he doesn't even really seem to pay it much mind, since he's much more focused on Yang. ]
Well, we can stop here, if you don't mind! It haven't quite gotten used to ground like this, so it looks like I snapped my sandals.
no subject
[ wait a sec. ]
You broke your shoe and just beheaded one of your work buddies, so you're calling it a night?
no subject
[ There is the definite sense that he did not ask... At all... ]
Arresting criminals is what I'm supposed to do, but you're probably not a member of Gorgon. With the way you fight, there's no way that you would kill someone with bra underwire.
[ And there is also a definite sense that he knew this the whole time... ]
no subject
[ ... yeah he totally knew. ]
no subject
[ There's another drone coming for Yang, but at least it's the last one! Soujirou doesn't bother to move to take care of it, since he doesn't doubt that she'll be able to. Instead, he crouches to tie the sandal back on in a makeshift way, though it wouldn't be able to stand up to a fight, certainly. ]
Plus, we both got a hit in, so that's pretty impressive!
no subject
No kidding... have you always been that fast?
no subject
[ With the sandal set well enough to use, Soujirou stands straight again and props his sword casually on his shoulder. It doesn't seem like a good idea to sheath it if more of the droids are going to be coming around, and he doesn't feel like using fancy techniques to disable them in the draw every time... They're not quite good enough for that. ]
I've been training ever since I met Shishio-san, and I just happen to be really fast! I have a natural talent for it, apparently?
[ He says it like he's not completely sure, but it's more along the lines of the people he tends to hang out with are so skilled that it never really felt that abnormal to him. He shrugs with a soft laugh. ]
But I've also never seen anyone fight with guns on their fists! It seems pretty dangerous.
no subject
[ complete with a hand twirl. ]
But I've kind of been fighting since I was young, too.
no subject
[ As is obvious enough by the sword, but more than that, putting a gun on your hand is just a good way to lose your hand in the 1870s... But. ]
Is it common where you come from? Or is it just you, pretty much?
no subject
[ AND THEN THERE'S YANG. ]
no subject
But not you, it would seem! It's a very bold way to fight...
[ Soujirou hums thoughtfully, then adds, ] By the way! I promise to not arrest you, since you managed to injure me, but would you come with me to the station anyways? We could at least see why they think you're a criminal!
no subject
[ Like finding her baby sister. ]
no subject
[ But there's a sense that he hasn't really thought of how to do that, and he won't until he has to. Soujirou doesn't think ahead with things like this, ok. ]
I'm just curious too, really! All of the crimes that are listed are pretty weird, right?
no subject
Could it maybe have something to do with that virus everyone's been talking about?
[ But hey, if he leads, she'll
