![]() Did you think the glitches were over? Boy, were you wrong! Through the last remnants of the digital kerfluffle, the latest batch of recovered code has manifested in CERES' computer systems as the guilty parties. Yes, that's right, all incoming arrivals are now placed on the wanted list, accused of having committed the heinous crime of creating and releasing the gorg0n virus all over Cerealia. These vicious twelve have been working together all along and conspiring against CERES, and it's now up to everyone to figure out if the new arrivals are truly guilty or if they are as innocent and confused as they claim. In the meantime, CERES has dispatched assassination droids to stop the accused and bring them to justice via disembowelment. So while CERES rushes to stop the droids from committing murder, characters are perfectly welcome to a.) soil themselves b.) fight off the droids c.) run while soiling themselves or d.) cry a lot. e.) ask for assistance!

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's arrival experience and a FAQ that should explain everything in more detail. Please read them thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |

I could do without the whole criminal thing, but I guess it wasn't a bad workout.

Criminal? [ he blinks, taking a second to let that sink in, before catching on to what she means. ] Oh, right. Those things have been going haywire all week... I wouldn't let that bother you too much. [ pause. ] Well, they're a little more dangerous than they were before, but it doesn't seem like that's going to cause you much trouble.
[ though, since she's the first of this new group to show up, he can't help but ask... ] You guys aren't really behind that virus, are you?
no subject
... [ There's a sigh, before Yang rests her hands on her hips. ] Look, I get that we just met and all you know about me is that I've got a good-looking mugshot, but I take responsibility for my actions. [ now. Mostly. When it counts. Shh. ] I don't know anything about a virus and if I was going to get chased after, it'd be for a better reason!
no subject
Sorry. [ he'd more or less asked the question just to be sure, but he can understand why she'd be frustrated. ] Everybody's just a little on edge right now... that virus really made a mess of things.
It doesn't make any sense to blame you guys though. CERES brought you here like the rest of us, didn't they? [ ...at least, he assumes so. he's not sure how else anyone new would get here. ]
no subject
Yeah, I got the whole spiel, right before something tried to stab me. [ As long and slightly alarming as it was. ] But is this virus really a big deal?
no subject
Well, I'm not sure how dangerous it is. If anything, it's just been inconvenient... and it's made the robots act strange. [ a frown. ] That might be why that thing was trying to kill you.
Not the best welcome, but trust me. It could be worse.
no subject
[ It's still a lot to take in. Yang's just doing it a little bit at a time. ]
no subject
[ .........okay after he lets that sink in a bit, he realizes it actually doesn't seem entirely awful on its face. ]
Er... it was worse than it sounds.

no subject
But the food they gave us was bad. [ he could explain that they secretly served them alien meat that drove them all crazy, but... don't want to freak the poor girl out too much right away. ] Really bad.
no subject
Like food poisoning bad?
no subject
Except ten times worse.
no subject
[ Ludger, please, she can take it. ]
no subject
They fed us burgers. But they didn't tell us what those burgers were made out of. [ he'll let her imagination fill in that blank. ] Nothing really happened at first, but after a while it started making people see things. And other stuff.
[ he scratches his forehead a little, just to make sure it's still normal. ] I grew scales.
no subject
[ Yang no bad. ]
no subject
Yeah... I had to go on a quest to find a cure. [ wow when he puts it like that, it sounds really corny. ] CERES is usually pretty welcoming for newcomers, so I'm not sure what's going on this time.
[ unless they really are behind the virus, but... no, that can't be. ]
no subject
[ yeah no, and she sighs a split second later. ]
I'll give them points for creativity, but I'd like a better greeting committee.
no subject
[ ...he assumes so, anyway. not that he imagines a complaint will do much good. ]
I'm sure this is all just a big misunderstanding anyway. It should blow over soon. [ a pause. ] Just... make sure not to get killed before then.
no subject
[ No, she just wasn't planning on dying. ]
no subject
[ well, if she says so. ] Should I go find a cute guy then? [ at 2 in the morning... ]
no subject
Let's start with your name, and I'll take that for now.
no subject
Ludger Will Kresnik. What about you? [ ...actually he sort of remembers seeing her name on the wanted announcements, but he might as well ask. ]
no subject
[ no one uses her full name anyway. ]
no subject
[ pause. ] We should probably get somewhere safer, before another one of those things shows up.
