Who: the idiots who think this will actually amount to anything

What: The rescue mission Yata, Sheba and co. discussed at the citywide meeting!

[ Once everyone arrives at the agreed meeting area, the CERES Metro-rail Station at the Residential District, Yata briefs the group on what to do. As discussed in the citywide meeting yesterday, the group will split into six teams that were decided by drawing lots. Everyone should know who they're teamed up with by now. Yata's instructions are simple enough: don't work alone (buddy system!), and if anyone finds anything, report to him. Should the missing arrivals be found, don't wait on anyone's orders. Yata admits that he's not smart enough to call the shots, but if he found who they were looking for, he believes that taking action should be the team's first priority. Anyone is free to protest, but he won't go back on his word.

Then he makes a special shout out to Hiccup and Toothless because look look guys it's a dragon how cool is that okay back to business.

By 9:15 AM, all teams should be on the move! ]

[ She suddenly realizes where they are and how young Ruby actually is. ]

...okay, maybe you did. Stick close to me, yeah? We'll be fine as long as we're cool.

Just charging through here like this... aren't we standing out a bit too much? If anyone is hiding the newcomers, they'd be able to spot us coming a mile away.

[ But you're still gonna get an older sister whenever Yang isn't around! ]

Hey, drawing 'em out to us wouldn't be so bad either, it would save us the trouble of lookin' for the culprits. Maybe we should make some more noise.

[Ruby won't argue that. She's used to older sisters that go charging head first into trouble.]

Ryuko, this is a rescue mission. If they could get out, we wouldn't be needed... If the newcomers in trouble, broadcasting we're here to find them is only going to make the people responsible be more careful around us.

[She chews on her lip for a moment. Weiss is usually the strategist of the group, but Ruby has been steadily improving her planning skills since enrolling at Beacon.]

Maybe we should get up to the rooftops and observe. We might be able to see something we could either use to get info, or that might lead us to the newcomers.

Well, who said they're even kidnapped? Maybe they're just lost. [ Not likely, but.

She looks up at the rooftops from their alleyway, they're pretty high to just jump on, but they would provide a pretty good view. ]

Rooftops, huh? I guess we could get up there, though I'd have to do my "thing".

If they got lost, wouldn't they have just asked for directions on the network or something?

[Ruby was already reaching for Crescent Rose when Ryuko said her "thing." Cue a confused look while reaching for the weapon.]

...I could get us up there. What... "thing"?

My "thing".

I... didn't think I'd need to do it tonight, but I guess it can't be helped.

[ She raises her fist, about to pull on her red glove mechanism. ] You might wanna shield your eyes. [ .....it gets all sparkly and shit, ok. Nothing to do with being half nude. ]

[ --and with that, she finally pulls the pin and the dark alley shines brightly for a few moments before... the light dies down, and... this emerges. ]

Are we ready to fly?

[ Just act cool, Ryuko. ]

[When the sparkles start, she brings a hand up to her face to shield her eyes. When the sparkles subside, Ruby's just going to stare for a minute. Yeah, Ruby saw the picture that was on the hot or not thing Rin put up but... seeing it in person... this up close and personal was kinda different. As such, her face is going to turn the same color as her hood.]

I-I... I could get us up there... w-with Crescent Rose and my semblance...

You okay, Ruby? I dunno what any of that means, but if you're fine on your own then why don't we have a race to the top? This crowd is beginning to cramp my style.

[ Indeed, there's already an audience of thugs gathering around them. Talk about not drawing any attention! ]

[Ruby attempts to recompose her self... and not stare... and is failing kinda spectacularly. Ryuko's got a great body and just... no, can't start thinking like that.]

Y-Yeah, let's get out of here.

[Luckily for Ruby the thugs back off once she unfolds her massive scythe, slam it into the ground and fire off a shot that gets her about half way up the nearest building. After that, she kicks off the wall and explodes into a cloud of rose petals as she zips from wall to wall before getting up to the roof.]

[ There's only about a 20 second delay until Ryuko finally jets her way to the top using her Senketsu Shippu form. She hasn't quite landed yet, however, still hovering around Ruby. ]

Holy crap, you're fast!

[Ruby spends that 20 seconds trying to stop blushing, which only makes her blush more. Still, she's regained her composure otherwise by the time Ryuko get to the rooftop.]

Y-yeah, that's my semblance. I can't hold it for very long yet but, it definitely helps out.

Semblance? Y'mean like your...

[ She finally sets her feet on the ground, standing in full exposure in front of Ruby again. However, before Ryuko can finish her question, she notices a group of men not too far behind Ruby. They are holding another man by gunpoint, possibly in a drug exchange gone wrong, and it doesn't take them long to notice the two girls either. Talk about wrong place and wrong time! ]

--oi, Ruby. Looks like we crashed another party.

[Of course, with Ryuko's new heels, that puts Ruby on perfect eye level with Ryuko's cleavage. Her hood will start to look a lighter shade of red in comparison to her face at this point.]

I-it's... a m-manifestation of...

[OH GOOD! CRIMINALS! Criminals she can handle. And criminals gets her mind off the awkward topic that was Ryuko's battle outfit. She spins, flourishing Crescent Rose over and around her shoulders until the point of the blade digs into the rooftop. She takes a firing stance as she peers through the scope of the rifle.]

Right... okay. HEY drop the gun and nobody gets hurt!

Ruby get down!!

[ The criminals point their guns and start firing at Ryuko and Ruby. Thankfully normal bullets can't harm Senketsu, so she uses her body to shield Ruby from gunfire. However, one of the goons seems to be calling someone on their cell phone, something about "backup"... ]

Hey... think you can use that speed of yours one more time? We gotta get rid of 'em quick.

[Thankfully, Ruby's aura was already up so the shot to her shoulder did little more than annoy her for the split second it took for her to line up a shot and shoot the gun out of the offending thug's hand.]

Don't worry about me, speed is kind of my strong point.

[She swings the scythe back behind her, firing off another shot that propels her forward, though she drags point of the scythe into the roof, using the momentum to augment the kick to one of the thug's chin.]

[ Ryuko looks genuinely impressed that someone can possess such ability without a goku uniform or anything, but she isn't about to be shown up either. ]

Awesome!!

[ She follows suit immediately, and as soon as the gang member feels Ruby's boot, Ryuko follows up with slicing all of his clothes off, leaving him completely naked. ] --one down!

[ Don't ask. ]

[Ruby for her part, twirls after looping her arms around the handle of the scythe, keeping the weapon against her back, using the flat of the blade to clobber a thug that was getting a little too close with a pipe in hand. Of course as she sees the thug Ryuko took out on the ground, naked, she falters a little bit, flushing and bumping into another thug who gets a clean punch to the gut off against Ruby.]

...Okay... that hurt...

[ After a fun montage of Ruby and Ryuko making quick work of these thugs, they eventually find a moment to be still again, with a pile of naked and unconscious bodies behind them. So this is Ruby's power, is it? Interesting... ]

Good work, Ruby. Y'know, I'm almost tempted to call the cops, but whatever situation they find themselves in prison can't be more embarrassing than this, hey?

[ So sorry, Ruby... Ryuko is just so desensitized to nudity by now. ]

[Ruby is just going to look... SO awkward. Once the fighting stops though she pulls her hood down over her eyes. So many dicks...]
