![]() It's been a whole month without any new arrivals. Who knows why? If you ask CERES, they won't bother with any in-depth explanations. They will simply claim that none of the code out there has been responding to their recovery methods, so they had to rework a lot of their technology. However, after several weeks of grueling work, they have finally experienced success! A fresh new batch of faces is coming in, and to celebrate their arrival and the real upcoming holidays, CEO Julius Vincere has arranged for a Christmas-themed carnival for all to enjoy. Those who arrive will wake up in Cerealia and be given a long, boring explanation and powerpoint as per usual before being ushered onto a bus (there is no escape. The robots will force you onto the bus one way or another). You will be unwillingly carted to the theme park where you will be immediately assaulted by a giant array of lights followed by several rides that you can enjoy. After you disembark from the bus, one of the snowman robots will be waiting to give you tickets to the rides and show you around as part of the Grand Opening. The amusement park will remain open for the rest of the month of December so anyone can visit as they please. The first couple tickets will also be on the house for new arrivals, but the rest will have to be bought with credits, so choose wisely! (Or try and sneak into the rides -- then face the wrath of the snowman robots and their snowman firearms :D)

[Somehow, this entire park was built like some sort of twisted Circus show; all lights and cheer and things to see and do, but wrong. If someone was having a bad dream about an amusement park, it might be a little bit like this.
Running into the so-called fun house hadn't proven to be his best idea, either. What else was he supposed to do, though? He was sure that he had seen a Varuga in there, amongst the mirrors and the snow.
Whatever had been in there had moved and fought like one, and even though he had been able to summon his swords and put up his own fight, the lights clicking back on suddenly made it seem to be pointless. No Vargua, no nothing, but him staring back at himself and the unbroken mirrors.
Shaking his head and patting himself over to make sure there weren't any serious injuries beyond soreness and some minor scrapes, he exited the fun house.]
Jeeeez, what kind of twisted place does that, anyway? What if people tseriously, seriously hurt in there? It's not right!
Why o'clock
[Asking for information, directions, anything useful at all had proven futile, and the festive robot was clearly uninterested in doing anything but shoving a brightly wrapped gift box at Yogi and getting him out of the way.
Well, if he couldn't get any help, he didn't see why waiting to open the gift now was a bad idea. Who knows what it might contain; something dangerous or not, he didn't want to put off finding out.
He ripped the paper off and flipped the lid open, only to suddenly stand very, very still and peer into the box, color suffusing his face from the collar of his shirt to his hairline. No, no, that definitely wasn't a strangled scream he let out before slamming the lid back onto the box.
He just has to... find a trashcan to stuff the box in before anything else happens. This was the worst present ever.
Phase II
So as she runs around she takes note of the fun house and approaches it. She's a little too curious about it until she runs into the man exiting it. At the impact Lily falls back on her butt and looks up at the man.]
Hey!

The unexpected obstacle of a small child barreling into him makes him let out an oh of surprise before he is gasping and crouching down to hold out a hand towards the girl, unsure of if his assistance will be welcome or not.]
Ah, ahhh, I'm sososo sorry, I didn't see you there-- are you hurt? Do you need help?

And besides, she never seen a festival quite like this one anyway so let's see what they had to offer here for everyone!
Of course, just as she was about to enter into said funhouse, she saw someone coming right out and....!]
Uh...what happened in there? [...So much for having fun]
no subject
As he talks, he alternately wrings his hands or gestures at the entrance to the attraction.]
There were-- I mean, I thought I saw um, some bad things, so I went in there to try and stop them, but then the lights went out and various things happened and I don't think it's safe for anyone to go in there at all. It's really dangerous!

Tell me about it. Is this what all of your festivals are like? If so, I want to book it back home real fast.

Circus would never put on a show like this, not ever. None of this is fun, it's just bad and scary and I don't see how anyone could think that this was a good time at all, you know? I really don't like it!

Still though, overhearing someone complaining about this place being twisted or people getting hurt, she gets concerned. So she turns to Yogi and upon seeing his tussled state, approaches with a concerned tilt of her head.]
Excuse me sir, what happened? Are you hurt....? If you would allow me to see your injuries, I'm a trained healer....
no subject
He smiles, though it certainly falters when he hears the entire offer of help.]
I'm okay it's just-- wait, did you say you're a healer? Like... like a... doctor?

why o'clock because why...
The boy has yet to realize what a good choice he has made.
Catching sight of Yogi fumbling around with one of those boxes made him curious though. Just before the blond manages to toss his special gift into the trash, Gareki casually approaches and stops him from behind. ]
What are you doing?
screams into a pillow
Right now though, it's all he can do not to panic and just shove the box into the trash as far as it will go. That would only make Gareki far too curious.
Careful not to tense up too much he, puts as much casualness into his voice as he can muster at the moment.]
Gar-- hi, I didn't see you uh, there-- I'm just throwing this away, it's just some garbage, you know? I got it by mistake, so I don't need to be carrying it around or anything like that.

No, no, it didn't, not at all! I'm just-- I don't need this kind of thing, so even though it was a present, I think I'm just going to. Get rid of it as soon as possible. I'm sure the what was it called, the Santa Bot, will understand!

why
Rise doesn't blame him, holding onto a box herself. She swallows hard when she catches his face, trying hard not to turn as red as he was. These presents are an embarrassment to the concept of presents.]
You too, huh? Come on, we need to find garbage around here to get rid of these.
