![]() It's been a whole month without any new arrivals. Who knows why? If you ask CERES, they won't bother with any in-depth explanations. They will simply claim that none of the code out there has been responding to their recovery methods, so they had to rework a lot of their technology. However, after several weeks of grueling work, they have finally experienced success! A fresh new batch of faces is coming in, and to celebrate their arrival and the real upcoming holidays, CEO Julius Vincere has arranged for a Christmas-themed carnival for all to enjoy. Those who arrive will wake up in Cerealia and be given a long, boring explanation and powerpoint as per usual before being ushered onto a bus (there is no escape. The robots will force you onto the bus one way or another). You will be unwillingly carted to the theme park where you will be immediately assaulted by a giant array of lights followed by several rides that you can enjoy. After you disembark from the bus, one of the snowman robots will be waiting to give you tickets to the rides and show you around as part of the Grand Opening. The amusement park will remain open for the rest of the month of December so anyone can visit as they please. The first couple tickets will also be on the house for new arrivals, but the rest will have to be bought with credits, so choose wisely! (Or try and sneak into the rides -- then face the wrath of the snowman robots and their snowman firearms :D)

I didn't know you knew any magic tricks. Do you have cards, too, or can you do flowers? Kaito did flowers for me earlier.
[ This is where you show her a legitimate magic trick, Hanamura! ]
no subject
O-oh, no, I didn't mean magic tricks, I meant...
[Okay, no, Trucy seems a little too pure to just outrightly ruin like that. So he'll behave himself.
For now, anyway, there's no promises about everything being safe later.]
Cooking, of course. Haven't you seen cooks on TV, able to toss pizza crusts into the air like they're weightless? Or control a flame like it was what they were born to do!
Even create sculptures out of sugar, as light as feathers and as fragile as glass!
A kitchen can be just as magical as any stage, you know - you just need to know the right chef!
[Is that impressive enough? Hopefully!!]
no subject
[ It seems to impress her, or at least she gets started on another topic??? ]
Part of the reason I became a magician was a little to do with food! Or, a specific piece of food...it was a plate of spaghetti, with a floating fork. [ plastic, of course, all of it. ] When I saw that, I just knew I really did want to make magic happen! So, I think a kitchen and food can be pretty magical!
no subject
[It's not even occurring to him that the answer is plastic.
He's considering just how tough the noodles were, or how frozen it must've been to suspend the fork in midair, instead.]
I have to say, you have pretty good taste, though! Your whole profession started because of food... It almost seems like fate that you'd meet a chef as skilled as myself, don't you think?
[He's trying, okay. Maybe if he says "I'm flirting with you", she'll get it-]
no subject
[ Sometimes Trucy just sort of misses anything not related to her immediate goals or topic of discussion...or she steamrolls over it. See: some of Apollo's sarcasm. This is working on her about as well as that does, although she sometimes notices the sarcasm and snarks back. ]
Maybe! But if it were really like that, your profession would have started because of magic, right?
[ is that even how fate works............ ]
no subject
Nothing really sparked my career or my love of food, aside from being naturally talented at it.
[Which is, y'know, a lie. But so is a lot of other things!! No big deal!!]
It's still a bit of fate, if you ask me! Maybe not reciprocated fate... but there's a bit of destiny, nonetheless.
no subject
[ She's a natural-born lie detector, Hanamura! Don't tell her lies, especially if you have body language tells. ]
Anyway, I at least think it's pretty cool. To be a - what'd you say it was? - Super High School Level Chef, you probably work really hard. Hard work and practice are the most important things! Dreams don't mean anything if you can't make them happen.
[ Is this really waiting in line for a ride talk...well, whatever, Trucy does as she likes. ]
no subject
Right - right, you're exactly right!
Dreams are important, after all; and working hard to achieve them is what a profession is all about!
[This is definitely waiting in line talk, I dunno what you're talking about -
But speaking of the line, it seems it's their turn to get in a car, so he'll take a step back; letting her hand free so he can make a sweeping motion towards it.
This is a great time for it, too, since it means he can stop talking about dreams and hard work and stuff. Gosh.]
Ladies first, of course!
no subject
[ Wow look Trucy Wright believes in HARD WORK which is good since she kept the agency afloat for like seven years. She promised to keep her father fed and by god she managed it!
Phoenix helped, a bit. ]
I wonder if we'll be able to see beyond the park from the top? I'm kind of curious about this place.
[ understatement... ]
no subject
Oh, I wouldn't doubt it! This is a fairly large ferris wheel after all - and it looks like it stops every so often, so everyone on top can get a good look around!
[Of course, not the reason he wants to go on the ferris wheel. But hey, she doesn't need to know that, right -]
no subject
You take that side, I'll take this one!
[ ...........yep. ]
no subject
Oh well, he can make it work!!
Which means he's sitting where he's told, even though it's the exact opposite of where he'd like to be sitting -]
Maybe I'll get a good look at the restaurant district from up there? I do need to scope out the competition, after all...
What do you think?
no subject
[ where will she get her smoke pellets...!!! ]
no subject
[And it finally starts moving, yaaay - which means it's just a bit higher than the crowds, at the moment.
He does take a moment to look out at everything, maybe hoping to spot a food stall worth checking...]
... Ahh, even from here the food still looks terrible.
Now that's just disappointing!
no subject
[ Not up to date on restaurants, mostly focuses on magic stuff... ]
Geeze, this park is bigger than I realized. I wonder why all those robots need guns?
no subject
Er... a lot of trouble.
[... He's actually kinda used to the whole "robots armed with guns" thing, though. Unfortunately.
Damn bear.]
I'm sure it's nothing serious, though! They're supposed to be protectors, right?
So it's for our safety!
no subject
[ Alternately, they're crazy... ]
This turns pretty slow, but I think we're getting pretty near the top! It'll be our best chance yet to try to spot something useful! Or cool!
no subject
[Can he switch over to her window? Because he's gonna switch over to her window.]
... My my - from up here, this park doesn't seem so bad.
It's even a little lovely, don't you think?
no subject
[ WELP. We are now stuck. And the windows are...are they starting to look a little darker?
prepare for snake nightmare time, are you ready. ]
What on earth...?
no subject
[Ohh boy, this is gonna be a wild ride - and not the good kind, either.
Blackouts generally aren't very good for Teruteru, after all -
And is someone behind him?]
Is... i-is that you behind me, Miss Trucy? It is, r-right?
no subject
Me? No, I'm over by the win - eek! [ She's not okay with the breathing on her neck thing and yelps, reaching out to swat behind her wHY THE HELL DOES THE SEAT FEEL DIFFERENT OH GOD IS IT MOVING sorry she might rock the cart as she springs to her feet and backs away from the side she'd been on, stumbling in the dark. ]
no subject
W-what... what's going on here!?
I thought this was supposed to be a ferris wheel, not a haunted house!
[Hopefully she's not going to mind him grabbing onto her arm when he finds it - and not even for his usual reasons, either. He's pretty scared, after all.
This is the exact opposite of a fun ride!!]
no subject
I-It's getting louder! This...this isn't supposed to be a haunted anything, the signs said ferris wheel!
[ And they're at the top WHAT WOULD THEY EVEN DO IF THEY OPENED THE FERRIS WHEEL... ]
1/2 whoops
murder someonekeep her safe??And honestly, feeling that breath against his neck and snakeskin up against his leg is the final straw with this whole shebang.]
Wha... W-wha... W-w-what-
no subject
We can't even climb off'a here if we wanted, dis ain't no way to run a business!
[SCARED? Yes. ANGRY? EVEN MORE SO. Tricking them like this is so rude, what the hell!!
He's so scared and angry he... doesn't even notice when he drops his sophisticated accent. Sorry, Trucy.
He's still clinging onto her arm, of course.]
