![]() It's been a whole month without any new arrivals. Who knows why? If you ask CERES, they won't bother with any in-depth explanations. They will simply claim that none of the code out there has been responding to their recovery methods, so they had to rework a lot of their technology. However, after several weeks of grueling work, they have finally experienced success! A fresh new batch of faces is coming in, and to celebrate their arrival and the real upcoming holidays, CEO Julius Vincere has arranged for a Christmas-themed carnival for all to enjoy. Those who arrive will wake up in Cerealia and be given a long, boring explanation and powerpoint as per usual before being ushered onto a bus (there is no escape. The robots will force you onto the bus one way or another). You will be unwillingly carted to the theme park where you will be immediately assaulted by a giant array of lights followed by several rides that you can enjoy. After you disembark from the bus, one of the snowman robots will be waiting to give you tickets to the rides and show you around as part of the Grand Opening. The amusement park will remain open for the rest of the month of December so anyone can visit as they please. The first couple tickets will also be on the house for new arrivals, but the rest will have to be bought with credits, so choose wisely! (Or try and sneak into the rides -- then face the wrath of the snowman robots and their snowman firearms :D)

[Lily would ask but it the explanation might go over her head. Instead she will just try to figure out what this guy was about, that seems like a good plan.]
It can be...sometimes! It likes to do weird things and there's all this technology stuff we didn't have back home!
no subject
[ His mood seems to improve slightly as he offers a slight smile in an attempt to ease up on the general mood despite the subject at hand. ]
Your home must be a lot different than mine, then. Technology was sort of common and easy to find where I come from.
no subject
[Lily doesn't mind light subjects this man does seem nice to her though at least.]
It is! We have different things too. Some of the technology is fun.

[ Somehow, around kids he holds a softer spot for them and as such, he's going to be kind to her as she seems harmless. He has no reason to mistrust her at all right now. ]
Fun? I haven't seen any of it so far that is, but... I suppose I haven't been here long enough to see much yet.
no subject
[She is harmless most of the time though there are times when she is far beyond it. Right now though she like Kaneki and he poses no danger for her.]
Uh-huh! Video games can be really fun!
no subject
[ Oh. So precious. Her almost childlike innocence was adorable in this instance, even if a part of him sensed something different about her from other humans. ]
I never played a lot of video games myself, so i'll have to take your word for it.
no subject
[With a good deal different she does looks really happy to talk about chains.]
I had never seen one before here! What do you do for fun?
no subject
So... from what I understand, humans can contract with these chains but they get pulled down once the clock turns? So does that mean only specific non-humans can contract with those chains?
[ Kaneki looks a bit thoughtful here, going over the list of things in his head that he did for 'fun'. It wasn't a huge list but he felt he'd be honest at least. ]
I know it doesn't sound like a lot, but I enjoy reading, training, and generally things that keep me moving otherwise. I'd like to learn more things I could do while i'm here, though.
no subject
Uh-huh! Baskervilles like me are supposed to be the only one allowed to! But Pandora found a way for humans to contract chains.
[At reading she looks really curious.]
I like books too! I like to let Bandersnatch play but he can get rough too.
no subject
So... why exactly did they need to find a way to contract chains if they were never meant to?
[ There's a second where he hesitates, wondering briefly about her mention of Bandersnatch. He's read some of the old books that made reference to Alice and the Looking Glass and the Bandersnatch was a fictional beast within it, but this girl spoke of it so perhaps that could only mean one thing. ]
Ah... Bandersnatch must be your chain if I had to guess. Would I be able to see him for myself?
no subject
Someone told them that we were the bad ones that needed to be stopped! Master Glen isn't bad though.
[She is very stubborn about that. When he catches on her smile grows wider as she bounces on the balls of her feet.]
Yep! I can show him to you!
[In a wisp she summons the chain with a grin.]
no subject
I'm sure he's not. He's probably a decent man.
[ Despite almost seeming to be a flippant statement, his tone and voice is genuine.
Only as she summons the chain and he materializes does a slightly surprised expression cross his features. So this one looked like a sort of dog with some inhuman traits to it, such as the wispy nature of it's tail and body in places, the long claws and eyes that stood it out from any normal dog. ]
Ah... Impressive. Do all chains like him bear the same appearance or is each one inherently different?
no subject
He is!
[The more she speaks to this man the happier she becomes.
Grinning the chain stares the other down as his walks close to Lily, clearly protective of the small girl.]
They are all different! Master Glen as a couple like Dodo, Gryphon, Owl, Jabberwock and Raven! He's the only one that has that many!
