[ He just went through one of the worst thrills in his life. Stumbling out of the roller coaster attraction, he received a free hair trim, there's several new cuts (that tv actor/modeling job he'd been given might not work out anymore) on his face, and his clothes are ruined. But, hey!!! The robots gave him a free snow cone as a consolation gift.
Gareki decided that he has had enough of the rides here. The boy will just... rest on a bench, melting snow cone in hand. There's a severe lack of amusement at this park, and it's pretty evident on his beaten up appearance.
So where is the closest medical center here?? He looks like he needs a patch up. ]

Ugh...
[ He's already at the bus stop, anxiously waiting to be taken out of this place. To whoever that may have thought about getting off the bus here, they might want to think again after taking in Gareki's beaten up appearance. In fact, he's not really going to allow it because instead of waiting for passengers to get off first, he'll just... shove his way in first. Rude.
Looking at the transit map, it seems like the next destination is the school here. ]

[ It's the next morning. His body is pretty sore from yesterday's adventure. Gareki decides that he'll visit the school again, but oh no, he's late!!! In the stereotypical fashion, he's got a piece of toast in his mouth as he's running out of the apartments. Since it's only his second day here, he's still getting used to the area as he tries to navigate through the map he was given. He's also looking through his CereVice, trying to get a feel of how the device worked. Just like everything around here, this piece of technology is really advanced. Maybe it's even better than Circus'.
He's scrolling through the job suggestions that he'd been given, trying to wrap his head around the first two. Why were these two given to him? He didn't like the attention. But rather than worry about getting attention, he should be focusing on what or who's ahead of him. He roughly bumps into the person ahead of him and accidentally drops his map and CereVice onto the floor, displaying his job suggestions for the world to see.
Or the person who's in front of him. ]
Gah, my bad...

[ In the end, Gareki decided he'll just skip school today. Thinking back on a conversation he had with a certain someone, Gareki decides he'll really go through with it. He's going to visit the red light district. He'll tell Athena about his escapades later just to see what kind of reaction she'll give him.
Except there's nothing in this district that particularly interests him at the moment. Ah, except for that quaint little bookstore. Considering the place that it's located in, Gareki could guess what they would be selling, but it's better than most of the options here. He'll sneak in for now. Betting on his older appearance, he's sure whoever is working there won't kick him out immediately. ]

how dare u
Yeah.
[ Gareki, you bold-faced liar. ]
They kind of helped me out when I first came here, so I wanted to return the favor and buy them something enjoyable [ hahaha ] to read.
you still love me
Not that Ki-Ja can exactly say that- he can't detour a person from buying from the store. That's bad business, isn't it? So instead he continues to grin, a little nervous at that. ]
How thoughtful of you! I am certain that, uh, person will thank you for this.
(unsure)
I'll let you surprise me. If it's a series, just give me the entire set. [ Because what if the first book ends in a cliffhanger?? You can't do that to the audience. ] Are they also available in digital?
no subject
BUT OH. OH THIS COULD BE A GOOD SALE. He's not only willing to buy one book, but possibly two or three! The dragon stiffens a little. ]
O-of course, then! [ He'll turn on his heel and move towards one of the display cases, pulling out three books that looks fairly similar to one another.
Also with the safest cover] There are things called 'Vampires' in this good. I have heard it to be a very... um, delicious?Dig.... ital- [ Wait, hold on, he knows that words. ] Ah! Digital! Yes! You are able to access it whenever you see fit, but I always prefer the actually thing...
no subject
And just look at all of the business you're getting from a single person. What are the chances of this ever happening again?? ]
Delicious...? [ Pfft. He's trying hard not to laugh. He coughs a little. ] Hmm, physical copies would be great too. I'll just buy both versions.
[ One for at home, and one for everywhere. Look at that, he's practically buying six books at once. This is actually his first big purchase that's not living expenses. Wow. ]
no subject
Y-you are going to buy both!? [ Oh gosh, oh wow. This is actually working? HOW IS THIS WORKING? ]
I... I mean, yes, of course! Wonderful! I... I can always throw in a special bag for you, since you are making so many purchases.
no subject
Thanks, I appreciate that.
[ Yeeaah, give him those accommodations and all of that junk. Ah, but he'll be walking home carrying a bag that might have the store name. That would be embarrassing. ]
Actually, just a regular plastic bag will be fine.
no subject
Are you sure? It is the least I can do for your support of our business!
[ Look, he's even going over to grab one now. Don't you just love the picture on his bag? Everything is red and silky... but just ignore the handcuffs or the box on the side with scattered objects about (I'll leave that for your own mind to wander)
HE'S PRESENTING IT TO YOU. WON'T YOU TAKE IT?? ]
no subject
[ No, why does the bag have to have such an indecent design? Why can't they just slap the name of the bookstore on it in fancy font? What's wrong with simplicity nowadays?
Gareki is so ready to reject but it's almost kind of hard to turn Ki-Ja down when he's so....
... enthusiastic?? ]
Do you have a plain bag that I can put that bag in?
[ Bag-ception. ]
no subject
Not that Ki-Ja will question, but he does give a mild look of confusion as his head turns towards the counter. ]
Well, yes, we do. [ Just... moving slowly to get that one, too. ]
Are you perhaps a bag collector? It sounds like a very useful hobby.
no subject
But it doesn't seem like Ki-Ja understands that. How and why is he working in a place like this? ]
... Something like that. [ Whatever, he'll just go with the flow. ] You can never have too many bags, I guess.
no subject
PTSD in the works. ]
I see! In that case- [ Hold on, he's going across the counter again. This time pulling out even more suggestive bags just. For. You. ]
-would you be interested in any of these? While I cannot give them for free, I can at least do a discount.
no subject
HE ASKED FOR A PLAIN BAG, KI-JA. PLAIN. This defeats the purpose of getting a second bag.
Hold on, he needs to turn around first, grip the bridge of his nose and sigh deeply. It takes a moment, but he finally regains himself and manages to come up with an appropriate action.
He just takes one of the least (???) obscene, turns it inside out and then puts his original bag of books inside of it. There, now nobody can see. ]
Alright, I'll take it like this.
no subject
Ki-Ja's logic, there it was.
And even while Gareki turned the bag inside out (thank goodness) the albino doesn't particularly mind. In fact, he's really fascinated. How unique!! Such as a bag collector should be!! ]
Of course! That total cost will be [ Insert some sort of appropriate cost here ] for all of those items.
no subject
He makes sure to double check that nothing was visible on either sides. Once he's sure that it's safe, he sighs and then hands his credit card over to Ki-Ja. ]
Here you go.
[ Charge him up and then let him leave. This purchase really took more out of him than he expected. Mentally, that is. ]
no subject
Pray that they never see each other again ]
Thank you very much!
[ He completes the order in a timely matter, handing over the paper receipt to Gareki with a professional grin. ]
I hope everything was to your liking. Please- come again soon!
