[Look, it's a normal, casual Monday. Normal, casual Monday means that neither Sousei nor Tenka is expecting much to happen on this casual day. They always have a segment of time in which they are both at home, when Sousei has gotten home from work and Tenka hasn't yet left--so it's that period of time in which they're sitting as casually as ever at the low, traditional table.

Clearly, now is an excellent time for a visitor to come with dinner.

Because Tenka will never turn down food and Sousei is easily steamrolled over by Tenka--

Either way, whether Pyrrha lets them know she's coming over or not, neither of them will be ready for

[When Yoon lets Sousei know that he actually has done some research into the medical topics that Sousei's been poking into, Sousei doesn't hesitate to invite him over. Tenka, naturally, will be sticking around for this as well, since it's Tenka that it most importantly involves--

So hope you don't mind seeing the both of them watching you rather intently when you finally make it to the apartment they share, Yoon.

At least Tenka's friendlier than Sousei... at least there's that. Still, for a topic this important and a guest properly invited over, there is tea at the low table, and preparation for a lengthy discussion.]

[Hope you didn't have plans this evening, Hinata, because then your phone is buzzing with a terrible invitation from a certain Aniki who causes all sorts of trouble all the time--]

[Friday is always a good day of the week for customers, right...? Especially weird customers. Well, hopefully Saya's Friday hasn't been too much of a nightmare, because then Sousei and Tenka are wandering into the flower store together, bickering over what sounds like boxes of cookies (do you want to know? Probably not.) and overall not looking like the sorts of people who should be in flower stores.

Do you dare approach, even.... they don't look like they're even looking at the flowers yet, too distracted by their bickering.]

[There are two men walking to dinner on a Friday night.

This is very, very heterosexual.

But it's their habit to do so and try out new places (or as new as Sousei is willing to accept), and it was a habit started when neither of them could cook. Now they have people who can cook living with them, but...it's hard to stop the habit, really. Even if they wanted to.

So they're strolling by the park, heading towards the restaurants further in the city. This might be a great time to show senpai your stuff, Jaune.

[AFTER DINNER they make their way back home, Sousei a little harried (Tenka mostly amused.). But they're not really paying that close of attention to things now that they're back on their floor, having...happily, blissfully forgotten that they're living nearby someone who is now obsessed with the art of surprise.

Really, they're just sitting ducks as they walk down the hallway, how could you resist?]

[It's been A Day.

Friday night is prime partying night, but if Shinpachi makes his way to Tenka's bar that night, he'll find a Sousei who very much does not look ready to party. If anything, he looks like he's ready to Drink To Forget.

He's not that far gone, admittedly, but... he is sitting there at the bar, sake in hand as he watches Tenka serve a few of the other patrons, and he is actually drinking for once.

Clearly he needs friendship and company.]

Yeah, I remember the ghosts...

[You're going to have to wait for Tenka to collect his thoughts. It'll take approximately the same amount of time that it takes for him to chew his next bite of food.]

An acquaintance of ours, Kobayakawa Takakage [y'know, just the famous Sengoku warlord] did a little bit more digging on them and who and why and what was all going on. He told Sousei about it a bit. It just got... more complicated than what we thought.

[just gradually feeding Hinata the information as he also feeds his mouth]

There was a claim of it being a...glitch or virus.

[Sousei tilts his had slightly, reaching for his tea.]

I can vouch for the fact that they were legitimate ghosts myself as well. [but the information from Takakage did as well.

For what that's worth, though--he should know a ghost when he smells one sees one.]

[Some of this is something that he's heard before, though Hinata's eyebrows furrow at "complicated". He takes another bite of food, but it's not much of one.

He's more focused on the conversation, okay--]

Did they come from somewhere? [It's his automatic assumption. The child ghosts, the ghosts in the apartment block, they'd come from people who had used to be there, who were uncovered or became vengeful...]

That part is hard to say, I think.

[Tenka furrows his brow. It's easy for him to speak what's on his mind as he gathers his next bite of food.]

From what I get, they were just unleashed on the city. They might not have even come from here... right?

[He glances quickly to Sousei for confirmation before he takes another bite of food.]

[That gets a contemplative sip of his tea in response, before his simply nods.]

...There was a team sent to an abandoned reactor site that we are not capable of accessing ourselves. It appears our captors were concerned about spirit activity there.

It does not seem to have gone well for them.

[This is... new. Unconsciously, Hinata straightens up, and his eyes seem to have an unnerving focus.]

[So there are things around here they can't get to on their own.]

...So, they made a mistake somehow. [He thinks of the children's ghosts, the ground breaking to reveal where they'd been sealed.] Just for them to come here.

It was abandoned after a terrorist attack if that helps explain the situation at all.

[And it might help connect the pieces a bit. There are a lot of connecting issues here and Tenka isn't sure how to address all of them.]

Right. The team ended up getting injured and it unleashed the ghosts as well as two more presences from the....

[ . . . . . Tenka's inability to completely wrap his mind around technology makes itself known here.]

[...Yeah the technology is...kind of rough... Sousei doesn't have much to add to that, because he knows that piling on information is just no good for anyone.

Even if he suspects that if anyone, Hinata could handle it.

There's a reason why they chose Hinata to share this information with, after all. So Sousei just takes another bite of his meal, nodding slightly. Yes, that's right, that's what they've been told.]

...None of the people involved appear to still be here, for what that is worth. However, this information was firsthand recounting of said incident.

[Terrorist attack... Hinata's staring thoughtfully, totally forgetting to eat. Except when he notices Sousei taking another bite and oh right he shouldn't waste their hospitality so he'll eat again too.

Hmmm. So all the ones who experienced it firsthand aren't here anymore, huh.]

Did they say anything else about these two other presences?

They did!

[EMPHATICALLY WAVING HIS CHOPSTICKS AROUND and also just going to pick off Sousei's plate with a swift motion as he explains.]

That's where things get even more interesting. One of them was Chernobyl and the other goes by Lilith.

[Sousei just jabs Tenka in the arm with the back ends of his chopsticks before stealing some food back.

Asshole.

For now, he doesn't have anything to add, which is good because now he's distracted defending his meal.]

[Hinata breaks from his srs focused face because... of watching Tenka and Sousei. Look at you guys. You're silly.

While Sousei's the target, he'll eat his own food at an easier pace.]

[They are silly and Tenka is pausing for a second to bump shoulders against Sousei before trying to steal more meat off his plate--]

You remember that weird message about being worthy and all that a while ago?

Tenka reaches to steal his food.

Sousei stabs his chopsticks down as quickly as can be, pinning them to his plate.

Even as his expression is calm as ever, and he doesn't interrupt the info dispensing.]

[DINNER AND A SHOW... Hinata's watching in fascination, eating away now, as though in lieu of munching out of a bag of popcorn.]

Yeah, I remember.

[Sousei's calm expression is plainly impressive, though, Hinata has to say.] Was that one of them?

[Guh, chopstick pinned. Tenka squints vaguely even as he's definitely struggling with having his utensils locked with Sousei's.]

Yeah!

She told me her name with Lilith.

[He says even as he's trying to get his chopsticks free from Sousei's....]

[Sousei just lifts his chopsticks at the very last possible moment--and then in true childish fashion, he uses his own now freed chopsticks to steal back some food off of Tenka's plate.

Solid.

A placid nod.]

It fits the descriptions of a woman that we were given of Lilith as well.

[Oh, a retaliation from Sousei! What's going to happen now?! Hinata stops that monologue in his head, laying down his chopsticks and putting his hands together with a little "thanks for the food". Yes. He finished completely peacefully.]

...Do we know anything more about her? Her goals? Or anything?

[Tenka says before he BUMPS ROUGHLY INTO SOUSEI'S SHOULDER to claim more meat from his plate! Only fair, asshole!!

Though there isn't even a single pause as he keeps talking to Hinata-]

She's apparently not even the person in charge. I told her that Sousei and I wanna get everyone here back to their proper world and she told me that there would be someone else I'd have to talk to about that.

[It almost makes Sousei drop his plate and then he's not being calm and stern anymore because--]

[Ah yes.

Really, really dumb partners.
