What: Yuya hanging out all over the place & getting into shenanigans. He also has plans to do gymnastic things with Inaba, learn *real magic* from England, and build pillow forts.

A - ViViD: [Having a tough time with the current wave of enemies? HP getting too low?

Fear not! Because suddenly there's a giant red dragon barreling down an enemy that's getting too close for comfort, and a kid with tomato-colored hair riding the dragon is reaching down to help you up.]

I got your back!

B - Gardens: [There's a very loud yelp coming from coming from the edge of one of the many bodies of water in the gardens. Guess who decided to put their hand in the water and just narrowly avoided having his fingers chomped off?
...It may be problematic that the aquatic alien's decided to latch its tentacles around his wrist and try to drag Yuya into the water again.]

W-whoa, HELP! Someone-?!

C - School: [Somehow ended up in the costume closet of one of the acting clubs? You'll find Yuya standing in the middle of the room, looking pensive for a moment before turning to address his new company:]

Hey, can you pick an outfit for me? I can't decide which role I want to try today.

D - Gym: [You can find Yuya either hanging upside-down from one of the taller gymnastics bars, eyes closed and arms crossed over his chest in thought, OR you can find him grinning from ear to ear while jumping on one of the giant trampolines. He'll wave you over to join him before a particularly high jump that lands him in the foam pit.]

[Welp, time for magic lessons! And in the evening so that Yuya doesn't have an excuse to skip classes. He's even prepared beforehand by finishing all his homework...or at least partially finished but made to look like he's got answers down. He'll just have to look over it again later when he's back at his apartment. Right now, though? Yuya's super excited to both learn some real magic AND to finally meet Arthur face-to-face. While they've chatted over the network with videos and texts whenever Yuya's needed to ask questions and get another perspective on some home-issues, it feels better knowing he'll finally get to meet his friend in person.

So after leaving school, Yuya's booked it to the CERES gardens to their arranged meeting place. He'll be looking through his deck and humming to himself on a bench while he waits for Arthur to arrive.]

[ANOTHER FRIEND TO MEET UP WITH! With ViViD being the best option for trying out different routines thanks to the pain filter, but the real question is which game would be the best option for practicing without enemies popping up all over the place?]

Hmmm...Something easier would be good. If we have to fight, I could always summon Odd-Eyes to keep us safe. Maybe a platformer... [Mostly thinking out loud, but he does turn his attention away from the display screen to look at Inaba.] How much experience do you have with ViViD?

[WELP, THERE'S SUDDENLY A GIANT PILLOW FORT IN THE LIVING ROOM? When did they get that many pillows?
You should think fast though because our tomato protag's head is popping up from one of the openings and hurling a pillow at your face.]

[ There's... definitely a gasp in awe, looking rather impressed by the advanced technology around here. She's even more surprised that a good majority of the people she's close with have things like this back in their world. She's kind of jealous. ]

Ooooh. That sounds really cool; we've never had things like that back home. So do you just put the cards on them and then they'd just show up?

You got it! And hey, like I said, we can find some cards for you and a duel disk. That way you don't have to do complicated stuff like hacking.

[IT SEEMS COMPLICATED TO HIM AT LEAST. Again, he ends up scrolling through the list of simulations before something that sounds a lot like whack-a-mole. Except with space aliens popping out of wormholes. Apparently the mallets are going to be bullet/laser proof too for defense.]

Well, even if we can't practice gymnastics, this game still sounds interesting. What do you think?

Well, it sounds interesting, to say the least. [A beat] ...But hacking isn't that complicated.

It's fine. I need to get used to ViViD first before taking on something more top heavy. I promised myself I would master it and then kick a certain someone's ass at a game.

[He'll just begin to set up the 2-player tag team mode while asking curiously:] Oh yeah? Who's the unlucky person?

Yata. [ She swears she's going to kick his ass. ]

[Yata...that's a familiar name-- wait.] Oh, I know him. He seemed pretty nice. [Seriously, they got to geek out about Duel Monsters together. That's good company right there.]

Well, he's not a complete jerk, but he called me a "noob" and I will not tolerate it.

[ SHE MAD ]

...I guess it's fine as long as it's ViViD. [He kind of feels bad for Yata? But he also deserves losing now.]

Anyways, the game should be ready for us. Meet you on the other side? [stepping towards the ViViD machine? idek how this mechanic work]

Well, it's not like I plan on literally beating him up, you know. Unless it's that sort of game. [ Though she would honest to goodness smack him head on if it was... But she's not an ass. (Mostly.)

Regardless, she'll set herself up -- this shouldn't be too hard, right? ]

Oh, yeah. Right... [HE'S SO USED TO BEING BEATEN UP BY YUZU THAT he didn't really think of anything else.

Now loading in, the game has set them on a grassy plain on a bright day with a corn field in the distance. There's the equipped mallets in-hand (giant but weightless), and the intro simulation start off with the sky suddenly darkening with a massive black cloud forming over the corn field until it lights up and an alien spaceship breaks through. The hull of the ship is covered in purple lights, and lasers are shot down at the corn field. The lights begin blinking and summoning circles appear mid-air around the two teens.]

Hmmm...I guess it's better than nothing. [Instead of following game protocol, Yuya pulls ot his duel disk and summons Timegazer and Stargzer.] Hey guys, can you take care of this game for us? Thanks.

[He hands over his mallet to Stargazer, who obediently takes it with a nod of his head while Timegazer gives his master a disgruntled stare while Yuya motions for Inaba to hand over her mallet.]

Anyways-- [Addressing Inaba now as an alien begins to crawl out of one of the circles. Stargazer levitates over to it and gives it a good whack, +1 point.] Do you know how to do handstands or cartwheels?

[COMPLETELY CASUAL LIKE THEY'RE NOT GOING TO BE SURROUNDED BY ALIENS.]

I can do a handstand for about five seconds or so, but no cartwheels.

[ This game does remind her, somehow, of Whack A Mole, except with aliens. Though she's definitely taking care of where she's stepping just in case of an emergency. ]
