A - ViViD: [Having a tough time with the current wave of enemies? HP getting too low?

Fear not! Because suddenly there's a giant red dragon barreling down an enemy that's getting too close for comfort, and a kid with tomato-colored hair riding the dragon is reaching down to help you up.]

I got your back!

B - Gardens: [There's a very loud yelp coming from coming from the edge of one of the many bodies of water in the gardens. Guess who decided to put their hand in the water and just narrowly avoided having his fingers chomped off?
...It may be problematic that the aquatic alien's decided to latch its tentacles around his wrist and try to drag Yuya into the water again.]

W-whoa, HELP! Someone-?!

C - School: [Somehow ended up in the costume closet of one of the acting clubs? You'll find Yuya standing in the middle of the room, looking pensive for a moment before turning to address his new company:]

Hey, can you pick an outfit for me? I can't decide which role I want to try today.

D - Gym: [You can find Yuya either hanging upside-down from one of the taller gymnastics bars, eyes closed and arms crossed over his chest in thought, OR you can find him grinning from ear to ear while jumping on one of the giant trampolines. He'll wave you over to join him before a particularly high jump that lands him in the foam pit.]

[Welp, time for magic lessons! And in the evening so that Yuya doesn't have an excuse to skip classes. He's even prepared beforehand by finishing all his homework...or at least partially finished but made to look like he's got answers down. He'll just have to look over it again later when he's back at his apartment. Right now, though? Yuya's super excited to both learn some real magic AND to finally meet Arthur face-to-face. While they've chatted over the network with videos and texts whenever Yuya's needed to ask questions and get another perspective on some home-issues, it feels better knowing he'll finally get to meet his friend in person.

So after leaving school, Yuya's booked it to the CERES gardens to their arranged meeting place. He'll be looking through his deck and humming to himself on a bench while he waits for Arthur to arrive.]

[ANOTHER FRIEND TO MEET UP WITH! With ViViD being the best option for trying out different routines thanks to the pain filter, but the real question is which game would be the best option for practicing without enemies popping up all over the place?]

Hmmm...Something easier would be good. If we have to fight, I could always summon Odd-Eyes to keep us safe. Maybe a platformer... [Mostly thinking out loud, but he does turn his attention away from the display screen to look at Inaba.] How much experience do you have with ViViD?

[WELP, THERE'S SUDDENLY A GIANT PILLOW FORT IN THE LIVING ROOM? When did they get that many pillows?
You should think fast though because our tomato protag's head is popping up from one of the openings and hurling a pillow at your face.]

Besides the first time I went in there, nearly no experience. I think I understand the gist of it, though. [She's been too busy dealing with school and work and cooking and programming, after all...]

I was actually debating on figuring out how to hack the system, though.

[Wait wut] .......Why would you want to? To cheat in the games or something?

[It makes sense because of the things you can get with the points, but Inaba doesn't seem like the type of girl to cheat the system for money and items.]

No; I have no reason to cheat in the game. I just wanted to see if I could mess with the system to test something. Basically to test if I can make the game more easily accessible to me, I guess?

... Or rather, to make the game easier for me to play. I guess it's a cheat in a way-- but what I want to do, honestly, is make it more of a game that I can play. I want to make some sort of menu, like what you'd see in an MMO. Since I'm no good as I am now for ViViD, I guess.

...Wouldn't cheating hold you back though? You might end up getting too used to it and not push yourself as much. [At least that's the idea he's picking up-- to modify it to be like a regular game and less of an interactive experience.]

It'd probably be better to work on easier levels while practicing whatever fighting techniques you're being taught. [...WAIT--] Or we could find you a duel disk and some cards so that you'll have monsters to help you in ViViD.

[England has been grumpy lately, even more so than usual. the fact that it was December and everyone was in the holiday spirit only reminded him of how much he hated this place, and how much he wanted to go home. the one saving grace of Cerealia was that he had met people, people who actually wanted to hang out with him, and ask for his advice. he really needed that right now.

so this magic-date with Yuya was the perfect thing to get his mind off of his worries. England was going to do two things he enjoyed very much, magic and imparting his wisdom. perhaps today would be a good day.

he enters the garden at about 5:30, carrying his tote bag that apparently has things in it, if one were to judge the way it hanged. he notices Yuya instantly because of that hairstyle]

Evening, Yuya.

Oh- hey!! [Yuya's head swivels toward his friend as he approaches, and he tucks his deck away before getting to his feet and greeting Arthur with a bright smile. He's definitely Arthur. He wouldn't mistake those eyebrows anywhere else. For having his code messed with along the painful duel he had to go through, Yuya's pretty chipper and even has a spring in his step.]

We finally get to meet, huh? Heh, I've actually been looking forward to magic lessons too! [And oh boy does that look like a bag of stuff. Equipment for magical things, he's guessing.]

What plan do you have for us today, sensei?

[ha! sensei. that actually makes England smirk. Yuya is so cheerful, it's hard to not feel happy around him. ah, youth]

Now, don't get too excited. Today, we're going to learn the basics about magic circles.

Magic circles...Those are for summoning stuff, right? [PENDULUM SUMMONING IS A PRETTY GOOD EXAMPLE, although it doesn't require memorizing how to make a magic circle aside from using his pendulum monsters the right way.]

Should I take notes? [Yuya's surprisingly studious for topics that he cares about....like duel monsters.]

Yuto seems taken aback when he enters the living room and looks around. Then suddenly there's a pillow coming his way, but he quickly moves and avoids it with his ninja-level skill]</sub>

...Yuya, what are you doing?

[Darn you and your ninja skills, Yuto.]

Isn't it obvious? [He grins mischievously before ducking back under in order to crawl out of his fluffy fortress. When he's on his feet, he spreads his arms wide like he usually does when he's declaring his finisher in a duel.]

Having fun! [Like that explains everything. Yuto should probablybe wary when his twin steps forward to wrap an arm around his shoulder, gesturing with the other toward the collection of pillows.]

It's been awhile since I've been able to make one, so I thought we could all enjoy it.

Yup! Both of us.

[Too bad for Yuto because the moment Yuya releases his hold on his shoulders, he'll shove his counterpart towards the pillow fortress, hard if he really won't budge. Just to get him a few steps closer before he quickly follows up by hurling himself in a full out tackle-hug into Yuto so that they'll land on in a pile. He's laughing with the initial impact, obviously not about to let go anytime soon.]

[See, Naoki's grown gradually more fond of the gardens for it's peace and quiet, even if he doesn't usually do much more than pass them on a regular day. Today is one of those days-- it's supposed to be, anyway.

But, there's shouting.

Veering off course from his usual jog, he hurries toward the voice and yep that sure is a guy with tentacles around his wrist. Well then.] Just hang on, [he calls, skidding to a stop. Hello, tentacles. Naoki reaches out to them with both hands, gripping at them just below where it's wrapped--

All he needs to do is dig in his fingers with the right amount of strength, and his hands tear right through them (gross), his eyes glowing dimly blue.]

[There's some agitated bubbles popping up to the surface which is probably the equivalent to the alien screeching in pain, so it's quick to disappear back into the depths.

Yuya, too, retreats away from the water's edge, visibly shaken with his wrist partially covered in alien guts. His gaze flickers between the water and Naoki before examining his hand. There's a disgusted sound in the back of his throat as he attempts to rub the slim off on the grass beside him.]

T-thanks, I owe you! [Real monsters are terrifying.]

[Naoki moves to lob the chunk of tentacle back into the water, wiping off his own hands with a slight face. Once this is done, he looks at Yuya in concern, in a crouch with his arms on his knees.]

No problem... but, you all right? Did it hurt you?

[He indicates his wrist with a finger.]

Uhh...I think I'm ok. It's kind of itchy though. [He didn't get chomped on, but there are circular red welts starting to form where the tentacles had suctioned onto his skin.

And now that he's slightly more calm compared to the last few seconds, his initial thought his savior looks like he came straight from a Duel Monsters card. That neck spike, man.]

Oh, it's something for the Impromptu club. We're supposed to pick an outfit and then try to make a story using all the different roles they represent. I came in early to pick out mine [AKA SKIPPING HIS CLASSES AS WELL], but I don't know what kind of role I want to go with this time.

[His gaze skims over one of the many clothes racks before he glimpses a dress and turns back to Kaito--] Just don't pick any dresses. I already got stuck as a princess before, and I'd rather not get in one again.

[The club members are slowly collecting photos of him in feminine roles.]

[costume advice is more up his alley, to be honest, and his confusion washes away pretty quickly once he realizes what is going on here]

Well, why don't we start off with this question: got any particular character roles you're more fond of than others?

[Yuzu's coming out of her bedroom for a snack when suddenly FUMPH, the cushion meets her face. She catches it afterwards.]

Yuya!!

[lifting the pillow to throw it back, but the fort before her is quite formidable, so she'd better hold on to it for now. It is her only weapon. She opts to circle around it instead.]

Jeez, how long were you making this thing?

[His ultimate rival has arrived-- Yuzu Hiiragi. The best of the best in terms of giving him a good whack over the head. With her circling, Yuya suspects this may be an epic showdown for years to come.]

Oh, an hour or something. [BASICALLY THE TIME THAT HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN DOING HOMEWORK, BUT WHATEVER. He stands up through the opening, another pillow in hand as he makes a more dramatic declaration:]

There's no retreat now, Yuzu, you stepped into the battlefield! Will you surrender or meet your feather-stuffed doom?

[YUYA SHE THOUGHT YOU WERE STUDYING but whatever, they get paid either way so she'll let it slide. Because that right there was a challenge. Can't take that sitting down.]

Ha! I LAUGH at doom!!

[And she'll try to swing the pillow at him before he can duck back down]

[It's not that often that Rock Lee needs a hand in combat; he's honed his physical strength and speed to ridic levels yo. But this is one of those occasions, as this ViViD mission is ghost-themed, and so his attacks are doing little against the ghostly foe he's currently facing. Until the cavalry came, Rock Lee didn't stand a ghost of a chance.

Rock Lee accepts the hand that pulls him up, with tears in his eyes.]

You... you have my back?! I am so touched by this youthly show of camaraderie towards a stranger!! Ah... and you are a dragon rider too, how splendid!!

[.........What type of reaction is that? It's confusing but also extremely nostalgic since it sounds like something Gongenzaka would say. The tears included too, are very similar to his friend's.(He misses his manly bff.)

Yuya's quick to hide his puzzled expression behind a smile.]

Ah, I guess you could say that? [If he said to call him a duelist, then he'd have to explain Duel Monsters while in the middle of a new wave of ghosts.] Hopefully Odd-Eyes here can do some damage!

[With Yuya pointing at an oncoming swarm and letting out a "sick 'em, Odd Eyes', the dragon roars again as the orbs on its body begin to glow and blasts the ghosts with a beam of fiery energy. The ghosts shriek in defeat before disappearing, but there's still more to come.]

[It's a Rock Lee reaction. ...But also apparently a Gongenzaka one too.]

Odd-Eyes? [He repeats the name to himself curiously and then he watches the display in pure awe.] Ah... That's so cool!! You're defeating the ghosts so easily... but watch out! More are coming!
