![]() It's morning when the lights go out completely. Not a single one remains on except the glow of the device and whatever flashlights anyone bothered to stock up on. However, a single hologram in the Shopping District broadcasts along a billboard for a Very Important Announcement. After that, you hear a song so tender and beautiful that it must have been composed by angels at the dawn of time. "Baby, you light up my world like nobody else. The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed… " When you go outside to investigate, a friendly clown will be inside a stolen(?) ice cream truck, looking to get all your attention before he talks through the speaker on the truck.

Welcome to CEREALIA's fourth official event. For your convenience, we have compiled an OOC post explaining the event in greater detail. Feel free to ask questions there if you have anymore lingering concerns or inquiries. |

[He'll admit that much.]
I still don't know why they didn't use guns.
[They could have filled them with holes rather quickly, admittedly.]
no subject
[As far as he's concerned anyway.]
It's still just bizarre. The Pleasure District isn't Western either.
[ . . . he was just walking by]
no subject
he's ellipses-ing so hard at you right now.]
...Is that so.
[uh.
...ok.]
no subject
[GOD, SOUSEI
CAN YOU STOP JUDGING HIM FOR SOMETHING HE HASN'T EVEN DONE (YET)]
no subject
... So it would seem.
[now he might just be messing with Tenka, though, sounding so doubtful.]
no subject
[RUDE AS HELL]
no subject
There's no need to be so defensive. I didn't say anything about your activities.
[activities. heh.]
no subject
[what do you know of pleasure anyway]
no subject
[you walked right into that one.]
no subject
[he ran out of comebacks]
no subject
Are you finished? We should move on.
no subject
[actual five year olds
but now he's glancing over at the other clothing options]
So did you find more shades of blue you like?
[gloomy gloomy]
no subject
I did not only get blue.
[There is also black and grey.]
no subject
Do you enjoy dressing like a bruise?
no subject
[...]
Like some people.
[lookin' at you and your bright red.]
no subject
[is he even listening]
no subject
Sousei's just going to start walking then. Bye, loser.
He'll pay for his purchases and leave you behind, honestly.]
no subject
but whatever, Tenka's just laughing as he follows after.
stop being difficult, partner.]
no subject
hint: it's not sousei.
regardless, off they go, once their clothing is paid for... and Sousei pauses, looking around the futuristic city--and he sighs faintly, though he is careful not to allow his shoulders to slump. (He kind of wishes he could allow them to, though.)]
...The differences are startling.
[Still. Now, always, forever. He doesn't know, but it's very much not home.]
no subject
The sigh draws Tenka's attention though, curious as he was to look at all the sights. In truth, their reactions are... definitely rather different. Still though, the observation gets Tenka to chuckle as he nudges Sousei with his elbow.]
Yeah, but I don't think they're that bad.
Well... when we're not in danger, anyway.
no subject
How strange. Sousei responds to the nudge by leaning away a bit, lips quirking downwards, a little sourly.]
You don't mind the foreignness? [really? Not at all?]
no subject
Of course I miss Japan and I'd go back in a heartbeat - [that's always been the case. despite his appreciation for change, his heart is always with his country] - but... this world is so vast! There's so much to see!
[So many people to meet, so many things to do, so many different viewpoints he'd never had before.]
no subject
That is true. I suppose there is much to learn here.
[But... that's not necessarily always a good thing either.
But...perhaps even answers for things they couldn't answer on their own.]
no subject
As long as we get answers and get back home in the end... [He shrugs and well, almost carelessly-] I've been through worse.
