![]() It's morning when the lights go out completely. Not a single one remains on except the glow of the device and whatever flashlights anyone bothered to stock up on. However, a single hologram in the Shopping District broadcasts along a billboard for a Very Important Announcement. After that, you hear a song so tender and beautiful that it must have been composed by angels at the dawn of time. "Baby, you light up my world like nobody else. The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed… " When you go outside to investigate, a friendly clown will be inside a stolen(?) ice cream truck, looking to get all your attention before he talks through the speaker on the truck.

Welcome to CEREALIA's fourth official event. For your convenience, we have compiled an OOC post explaining the event in greater detail. Feel free to ask questions there if you have anymore lingering concerns or inquiries. |

I can't say with certainty, sir. Not everyone showed the same symptoms, either... [It was a distressing time.] I believe that it might have been due to certain foods, though. More people who ate the burgers that the CEO served seemed to be getting sick than those who only ate snacks.
no subject
[Edgeworth's eyes narrow. What the heck, why are you serving your esteemed guests food that'll make them sick?]
no subject
We don't know. In the end, the CEO only apologized in the same way that he always does when things go wrong here.
no subject
Has there ever been a time he was of any actual help?
no subject
[What a very elegant way of saying "HAHA NAH".]
Which is why I don't expect him to be lending much aid in this situation, either. It doesn't matter what his excuse will be... The fact that there will be one at all is enough. [Enough of an annoyance, that is.]
no subject
[Which is another way of saying, "not this again". Still, Edgeworth has experienced being able to fend for himself against monsters or people who want to beat him to a pulp, thankfully.]
Has he no shame?
no subject
The CEO? Perhaps not... [Or, more likely, the CEO just thinks they aren't enough of a threat or a problem to offer more than half-assed platitudes.] But it does us nothing for now.
[AND THEN LO, up ahead, the lights of the generator-powered safe room in the school district! It sure is easy to spot considering everything else is pitch black. Thanks CERES...]
Ah— is that it?
no subject
Edgeworth squints up ahead - yes, that is certainly very easy to spot. He nods, the motion visible in the faint light of their lanterns.]
Yes, it is. Thankfully we didn't run into any trouble along the way. [A sigh of relief. He manages a small smile at that.]
no subject
I'm glad for it... Perhaps you're something of a good luck charm, hm? [This said in a gently teasing way. Kaoru's attention shifts to focus more fully ahead afterwards.]
That was fairly easy to find, as well... Ah— You said that you had other things to do, correct? I can manage my own way from here. I wouldn't wish for you to go any farther out of your way for me than you need to.
no subject
Then, this is where we part, Miss Nagumo. [He bows respectfully.] Remain safe.
no subject
The same to you, sir. I hope that you will be able to finish whatever it is that you're setting out to do.
