Opening Night [OPEN]
Who: Nonon Jakuzure and anyone who's interested in classical music, saw her post, or was invited by her. Feel free to tag around too and meet other people in their beautiful formal wear~!
When: Some Friday after her post.
Where: Opera House
What: Nonon has been working with the opera house's orchestra, and being the controlling girl she is, decided to stage a few concerts. Formal dress is expected. Nui Harime interrupts and kisses Nonon.
Rating/Warning: None likely.
It's opening night, and there's a nice big display board in front of the opera house announcing the first performance of Nonon Jakuzure conducting the house orchestra. Even with a little stylized depiction of Nonon with her signature pink hair and smug grin.
Formal dress is expected, though some people might be able to sneak inside in casual wear, just don't let Nonon catch you. She's going to be in the front of the house though, inside past the ticket booths where people can pick up tickets set aside for them ahead of time, if Nonon had done so. Of course, it's about as analogue as you can imagine, Nonon wasn't about to use the Cerevices to do ticketing, that just isn't classical, it would ruin the entire mood. No, she wants lines and printed tickets.
After greeting any friends or acquaintances the lights in the hall lower once, then twice, signalling the start. She disappears into the back, only to reappear on stage under a bright spotlight with the loud, almost deafening sound of a whistle.
"Entrance March! Under the Double Eagle!" She waves a large pink baton this way then back again. "Now, prepare for a jaunty, thrilling, and mind-blowing performance!"
She's dressed in a flashy conductor's outfit, and proceeds to lead the orchestra into their first song. The rest of more standard affairs of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, music people might have heard if they are from Earth, or somewhere vaguely Earth-like. In general it's not actually that long of a concert, no more than an hour and a half or so, with a short intermission. She wants to hit people with the loudest, most impressive sort of music she can, leaving them wanting more.
Sometime towards the end of the performance, the lights go out completely, only to return with a spotlight on one adorable blonde girl giggling. She invades the stage as if she belongs there, striding right up to Nonon to give her a kiss on the conductor's angry, shocked face, before floating away impossibly. Holding in her anger, Nonon wipes her lips with the back of her hand, blushing furiously, and proceeds with the last song after yelling at Nui Harime, something about getting even with her.
By the end she'll be hanging around the stage, meeting anyone who wishes to speak to her, and then going backstage to change if certain close relations wish to meet her there. She expects flowers to be thrown though of course, maybe even a standing ovation~.
[ ooc: Feel free to run into her whenever! And the date is kinda nebulous, just assume after the latest event. If you have any questions PM me or hit me up on plurk at

[ She smiles. ]
Of course. It is a formal event, after all.
no subject
[ Kyouko stop being so classy, it's making Nonon want to step up her game, to be more impressive. ]
We should go shopping together sometime. If a detective can find some time for a concert, surely she can get time for a girl's day out?
no subject
[ Plus she's really enjoyed being able to go places and do things. ]
no subject
[ In a way, it's kind of freeing, having time to just focus on her own interests for Nonon, not having to fight everyday, or go to school. ]
So, have you solved any cases here yet?
no subject
[ She smiles. A shopping trip does sound fun. ]
Hehehe... That is confidential information, Jakuzure-san.
no subject
[ She meant that too. Having a friend that she could talk to who isn't someone obnoxious, who is well mannered and cultured, it's something missing in her life right this moment. ]
Not even a little tease? I didn't know you could be so stingy, Miss Detective.
no subject
[ She gives Nonon a small smile. It'll be nice to actually hang out with someone, without any stress. ]
I'm often required to keep quiet about any specific details. As a detective, you learn how important it is to be careful with details about cases, and even yourself.
no subject
Even yourself? What do you mean?
[ Strange way of putting that, and it interests Nonon. She knows so little about Kyouko, she realizes. But Nonon ends up sitting on the piano's bench, facing away from the keys. There's a hundred little chairs still around where the rest of the musicians sat, if Kyouko wants to sit in them she can, or join Nonon on the bench. ]
no subject
Yes. While I am proud of my career, it was family tradition to keep it a secret.
[ Of course, she broke that secrecy by enrolling in Hope's Peak. But it was a matter of her priorities at the time.
And, another important thing— ]
Being open about your own emotions can also lead to exposing your weaknesses. Of course, that may not always be the case but when it comes to catching a criminal it can change everything.
no subject
Keeping being a detective a secret? What's the fun in that? If you're good at something you should let everyone know.
[ As if that isn't clear how Nonon feels already, seeing how self-aggrandizing this whole night was. Aside from that kiss. ]
Everyone has weaknesses. But hiding them doesn't make them go away, all it does is make them a bigger target.
no subject
It can be fun to have your own secret talents, as well. Of course this didn't keep my family from getting work. We did quite a lot of it overseas.
[ Kyouko nods. If anything, Naegi taught her that hiding everything wasn't always the best plan. He's practically an open book, but without him they wouldn't have escaped. ]
Sometimes it's necessary, but you are right. Hiding them doesn't change anything...but it is still important to not let weaknesses control you either.
no subject
[ She's just teasing, pushing Kyouko gently with her arm. ]
I've been overseas a few times with my family. My father runs the largest transportation and shipping company in the world, the Jakuzure Corporation. As much as I liked it, Japan is always going to be my home I think.
[ About weakness... ]
Exactly. I'm surprised how similar we seem to think.
no subject
I spent most of my time in school abroad. I wish I could have had more time to spend in Japan...
[ Strange how that was taken from her twice. With her world destroyed, there's no chance to rebuild everything.
She glances at Nonon. ]
As am I.
no subject
[ That's a little bit of a personal question, and even Nonon knows it. She looks out over the mostly empty seats, sighing. ]
I mean, I know you want to ask. About what the hell that girl was doing? There's no way someone like you isn't even curious, right?
no subject
[ And she supposes she still doesn't, but that number seems to be growing almost by the day here. It's strange.
But that train of thought is put on hold when Nonon brings up what happened during the show. Kyouko chuckles. ]
Hehe... You got me there. I am curious.
no subject
But she shakes her head at Kyouko's chuckle. She knew it. ]
Nui Harime. She's dangerous. You had to have noticed that she doesn't move like a normal human, because she's not. She works for my best friend's mother, the leader of REVOCS, like I told you about. Harime is the Grand Couturier, and she killed my... roommate's father. Never go near her, alright?
no subject
Her warning is a little surprising, but considering everything, it makes sense. ]
...What is she capable of?
no subject
Anything. She'll kill just because she thinks it's funny. There's no controlling her. As cute as she is, she's a monster.
[ She already had to warn someone else about Nui. And as nice as Kyouko is, and apparently skilled in detective work, Nonon guesses she isn't a fighter. ]
...And we're definitely not dating or anything like that. [ That whole kiss... ]
no subject
[ She's already had someone in her life that destroyed everything in her path, and Kyouko doesn't want another. ]
...So she was trying to get a rise out of you, then?
no subject
Yeah, and it nearly worked. I wanted to kill her, but I couldn't start a fight on stage and get the audience involved. People would have gotten hurt who didn't deserve it.
[ ...Like Kyouko and others. ]
no subject
You made the correct decision. I'm impressed that you managed to perfectly finish the concert.
[ Most people wouldn't be able to, that's for sure. ]
no subject
[ She doesn't mean because Matoi is dating Nonon....... even though the papers, if Kyouko has been reading them, have been very much making it sound like they were together. ]
no subject
Matoi? Is that a friend?
no subject
I guess you could call her that. We were enemies before, but now that we're fighting on the same side, and that I found out she's my best friend's sister we've been trying to get along a little better..
[ And crushing on her... despite the fact that Nonon doesn't realize that. ]
no subject
Fighting on the same side can bring people together, despite differences.
