Soon enough, it's done crashing down in a pile of jam and sugar and sprinkles (one quite nearly clips his head as it sails by, but he manages to dodge before he can get a confection-induced concussion...) and Kashuu is rushing back to make sure Dotanuki is still in one piece too.]

[embarrassing as it may be, it's comfortable. there's an innate knowing of safety that comes from it; calling back memories of barging into heung soo's house and going to sleep just so he wouldn't have to do so alone. it was safe then, and it's safer now, with that extra shot of encouragement and reminder that regardless of what his sleep may have wrought, he's not here alone.

heung soo is here and tangible, and that in itself is enough to put him as a bit more ease. he doesn't have much in the way of knowing that the "dream" isn't one he experienced alone, and he doesn't really think to ask, because even for ceres, that seems like a bit too strange to conjure up. still, it's pretty hard for him to even think about going to sleep, so he just remains fairly still with heung soo's warmth, drawing in quiet breaths to gain complete control of him composure.

if it could always be like this at the end of a trying experience, he wouldn't mind. it's better this way, when it's just the two of them and the quiet backdrop of the electronics humming throughout the apartment.]

[well, that sure was a sight. probably one he never actually needed to see, at that. but despite the mild surprise that briefly lines his features, he doesn't seem off-put or disturbed by it in any way. maybe it's because of his own past and violent tendencies, or maybe it's because he's just gotten used to this being the strange way things are around here.

Okay, on the sliding scale of weird, when Dotanuki teleports to where the sword landed, that wasn't that bad. Actually, it was sort of impressive. He's dealt with teleportation.

In the meantime, however, he's fastening the scabbard to his waistband to keep it from getting stepped on in the meantime, running in while doing so. At the command, he's already reeling back with the whips, launching himself at the creature with a series of lashes to try and at least cut it down a bit, extending the blades for extra traction as they dug into the thing's ... dough? Skin?
