Quatre --> event 019
--> Pitch
Oh!
[A startled sound because he wasn't entirely expecting that, but all right. Shortcut works for Quatre. He is o board, and offers a smile, grateful, in Pitch's direction.]
That's great. Let's see if it works.
[Games can be pretty picky about how things work, but Quatre would love to not be stuck playing this. So up the stairs he goes.]

Ordinarily Pitch was a patient man, but this infuriating game had him starting to ascend his own set of steps in a trice--
--when a giant Tetris block came crashing through said steps.
With no one to turn it or move it into place it was standing upright, essentially taking up the whole row by itself after rupturing the dreamsand staircase so that Pitch sneered at the Tetris block now partially poking through the staircase. There were more coming down, though, and quick ]

[Probably too little too late, but it's his best attempt. If ViViD were cooperating more, he'd have his gundam right now, and that would put an end to all of this, but alas whatever is going on seems to be making that difficult.
He grips at the rail to the staircase, glancing up again. Another glance towards Pitch to make sure he's faring all right, and there's a wash of fear so strong that it nearly takes his breath away, one hand lifting to his chest as though it physically pains him -- but the blond is at least aware enough to recognize that it isn't his fear, or at least not in its origin.]
Ah... [No okay. A steadying breath. Now is not the time to puzzle that through.] We should probably move quicker. You can get over that, right? I think they're coming down faster now.
--> Wall-E
[Quatre watches because... well. Clearly the little guy is proud of all these things, and it's kind of cute in a way. So he'll look interested at what he's found.
It really is pretty eclectic as collections go.]
That's really quite a collection! You found all that, huh? What are you going to do with it? Do you have a place here?
[Is your apartment full of these things, Wall-E?]
no subject
Or well... it's not that he doesn't have one here, he just hasn't found it yet. Still, he gathers all of his things and organizes them a bit in his little pile. Clearly, he intends to keep them and will more than likely take this stuff with him once he has some place to go other than staying here at the dump.
He then tilts his head a little at Quatre: what about you?]
no subject
[Quatre watches him reorganize his... can he call it a hoard? Is that unkind? Or maybe Wall-E is like a metallic magpie, collecting baubles.]
Didn't they give you a card?
no subject
He holds up a hand as if to say "one moment", before he then opens his chest compartment to reach inside and feel around for a moment until he pulls out a card, holding it up for Quatre to see. Are you talking about this thing we found on us earlier?]
no subject
That's it. That's a key, for one thing. It'll open an apartment somewhere. You get to choose one for yourself. Eventually rent will be do, but they're at least generous enough to give us a little while to get settled in.
[A place for your stuff, Wall-E. That seems like it might be important.]
--> Ket
[Quatre has no room to talk. He's not precisely normal himself, though his space heart is somewhat less obvious compared to what Ket can do.] My head?
[A smile despite himself. Well close enough. He understands the sentiment.] Can you line them up? How much precision do you have with this?
[The blond may be pretty useless right now but he's a tactical thinker anyway.] The trick is making complete lines, right?
np, figured it got lost when notifs were down!
They'd hit your head first. [ Mentioned as an afterthought. ] You know, "I've got your back," but for your head. Not your back.
no subject
[Quatre does feel a bit useless though, but that isn't a bad thing. The fact that someone else has skills better suited to something just means this is working out better than he first expected in those first few moments while he was figuring out what was going on.]
Ah... [That explanation earns a quiet laugh, as he ducks his head.] I suppose that's true. Well whatever you have, thank you. I'll definitely owe you one after this.
no subject
Uh, I'm fine with one head! Really! Two heads would be kind of inconvenient. Same with two backs. No offense, sir.
no subject
[Really. This is a lot easier than he expected this game to be.]
no subject
[ And yeah, this kind of game has nothing on Ket. (Hangman, on the other hand...) Another row cleared, only five more to go! ]
no subject
[But hey about that.] I'm Quatre, by the way. Quatre Raberba Winner. [...though he's used to 'sir' it still seems impolite not to have an introduction with the guy who's currently helping him out here.]
