![]() ViViD's usual worlds are unfortunately down for maintenance. While CERES' programmers work on getting it back up and running, all new entrees this round will be going through a different level than usual. Only a single world is accessible at the moment, a simple one entitled 'CERESLearn.' "What the $%@& is this?" you must be thinking. Well, it's simple! It's a study program, of course! CERES' advanced AI technology is here to make sure you learn and that you learn sexily. Whether or not you pay attention to the actual content is up to you, the player. Please enjoy it while it lasts. They're here to teach you a variety of subjects and also to make you feel vaguely uncomfortable all over. New arrivals and those logging into ViViD will first find themselves in a classroom with a new operator greeting them rather than Vidia.

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's usual arrival experience (which is not entirely applicable this round for reasons stated above^) and a FAQ that should explain everything in more detail. Please read them thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |

[ okay, ludger probably shouldn't be amused by this situation as he is... that thing chasing them is genuinely creepy, after all. but it had at least been more focused on yata throughout their "class," and that hadn't really changed now that it was some sort of insect monster.
...of course, ludger would intervene if it looked like things were getting genuinely dangerous, but for now he'd just enjoy the absurdity of it all. this is definitely less troubling than some of the other vivid scenarios in the past. ]

Shut up! I wasn't giving her any looks! I was gonna tell her to button up, aight? I just got distracted—oof!
[ He makes a sharp turn, skidding along the hallway and hitting a wall of lockers with his shoulder before running onward, the bug monster hot on their tail. It's a few meters away, but Yata's stopping at a... drinking fountain? ]
no subject
You don't have to be embarrassed about it. It'd be weirder if you didn't look.
[ though ludger almost runs right by yata before skidding to a halt, glancing back at him. ] Er, is this really the time for a drink?
no subject
I thought I was a goner for sure. She was really... you know...
[ But he's not drinking. A red flame-like aura surrounds him and the drinking fountain as he pries the machine off the wall. ]
no subject
[ okay his question is cut short by the sudden display of strength, which even manages to catch him off guard. he... definitely wasn't expecting that. ]
Wh, what are you...!?
no subject
[ Just gonna toss the drinking fountain at the bug behind Ludger, no big deal. It hits their former teacher, disorienting it (her???) for a while. ]
Kusanagi-san says it's always the ones that bare their fangs... [ no this is not what he meant ] Let's go!
no subject
Don't you think that was a little overboard?
[ not that property damage really matters here... ]
no subject
You serious? That thing was gonna eat us. I saved your ass! And if anyone wants a drink, they can find another fountain!
no subject
I think it's getting back up though. [ fight? run? what do. ]
no subject
Can you fight?
no subject
I'm not bad. [ he'll pull out his twin swords from wherever the hell he keeps them, taking a stance. ] Unless that thing has any more tricks up its sleeves, we should be okay.
no subject
Woah, hey, that's not fair! How come she didn't confiscate those!?
[ He's still hung up about Hilda taking his skateboard... ]
no subject
[ plus it's just hard to explain how ludger walks around carrying an arsenal of weapons with him all times. ]
You can get back your things once we take care of this.
no subject
Fine with me! You wanna go first?
[ Yata's fists are on fire, literally, but he wants to see Ludger do his twin sword thing. ]
no subject
and darting forth towards the bug creature, faster than you'd probably expect. he manages to get in a few good blows, before the monster begins to try to flee - right towards yata. ]
no subject
Yata doesn't panic and is quick to react. He stops the bug with a kick, then deals a couple of punches before sending it back to ludger. It doesn't seem to be strong enough to get up anymore, though... ]
no subject
[ yeah, it's not getting back up. now he feels a little silly after spending all that time running away from it. granted, from the sounds around them, it seems like there are bug monsters chasing after other people too. just another day in vivid. ]
no subject
[ Huh. It seems like these monsters are everywhere in the campus, too. ]
This happen often?
no subject
[ which, at least, is better than the opposite. ]
The last few times it was in the real world.
no subject
[ He looks at his hands, then looks around. But everything feels so real! ]
no subject
[ ...then again, CERES has a pretty spotty track record of actually informing its visitors of anything. ] This is definitely virtual reality... or something like that. They call it a game, but everything that happens in here is real too. So I guess you can just think of it as another world.
no subject
Dude... [ An inhuman cry in the distance distracts him. ] So if you die in this game, you die in real life, right?
no subject
I... I'm not sure about that. I've never died in here. If you get hurt here, you get hurt in real life though.
no subject
How do we get out?
no subject
You probably need to finish this simulation before they'll let you out.
