![]() ViViD's usual worlds are unfortunately down for maintenance. While CERES' programmers work on getting it back up and running, all new entrees this round will be going through a different level than usual. Only a single world is accessible at the moment, a simple one entitled 'CERESLearn.' "What the $%@& is this?" you must be thinking. Well, it's simple! It's a study program, of course! CERES' advanced AI technology is here to make sure you learn and that you learn sexily. Whether or not you pay attention to the actual content is up to you, the player. Please enjoy it while it lasts. They're here to teach you a variety of subjects and also to make you feel vaguely uncomfortable all over. New arrivals and those logging into ViViD will first find themselves in a classroom with a new operator greeting them rather than Vidia.

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's usual arrival experience (which is not entirely applicable this round for reasons stated above^) and a FAQ that should explain everything in more detail. Please read them thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |

[ He's not one to take video games seriously, but this immersive technology is pretty realistic. Not to mention, he can actually feel the strain from running and the pain from smacking into things. He doesn't want to know what it feels like if he's ever eaten by one of those giant bugs. Probably not good.
At his question, he looks down at himself, trying to think of something he can use. He pretty much just has the clothes off his back not one to bother with weapons especially when this game was supposed to be "educational", so he assumes he's screwed on that end, too. ]
I'll find something. These classrooms must have something I can use.
[ He stands up and looks around before settling on a giant ruler that he's pretty sure he can whack the bug with if he has to. ]
How's this?
no subject
It's not a normal sized roach!
[But whatever, if he had to make sure neither of them died, he supposed he could do it. And it's a good thing he's finally made up his mind, because the monsters seemed to have found them.]
Damn...[His hands go to his headphones, and he looks back over at Rin.] You stay back, okay?
no subject
[ If things get too bad, he can throw it if he has to. Okay, even he knows that's a bad idea. He'd have a better chance at throwing a desk at one of those things, but he wisely listens to Nice and lets him handle it.
Except Nice just has a pair of headphones on apparently, and Rin is suddenly really concerned about how he's going to kill two giant roaches with that. His hand moves forward, grabbing the back of his top to stop him before he does anything reckless. ]
Oi, wait! Don't charge in just yet! What are you even planning on doing with those!?
no subject
[It'd be a lot harder to explain his Minimum at this point, so he was just going to show him, but he wasn't necessarily expecting to get grabbed. His eyes go wide and he's thrown a little off balance, before he twists and attempts to grab Rin's wrist before moving to dodge one of the monsters lunging at them.]
Duck!
[Good thing about how close the oversized bugs are: he could use his Minimum.
Bad thing about how close the oversized bugs are: they're really close.]
no subject
[ He wisely stops talking just as the monster lunges. His body acts and pure reflex at that moment, following Nice's movements and making sure he doesn't get in the way of whatever he's trying to do and what the giant bugs are doing -which he guesses is mostly trying to eat them.
His breath sits in his throat as he watches a little wide-eyed and shakes Nice into acting a little faster. Preferably before said eating happens. ]
Do something!! What are you waiting for??
1/2
[GOD STOP SHAKING HIM. But he'll forcibly push Rin away at this point, because there's no way he's going to get eaten by a giant bug.]
I'm waiting for you to stop grabbing me!
no subject
Hey, maybe you should take one of those desks and whack them to make sure they're dead. You can do that, right?
no subject
...he's still staring in disbelief, though it's a good indication that he probably shouldn't goad or annoy him too much if all it takes to defeat a person or creature of that size is a snap. Unfortunately, sheer impulse wins over, so what comes out of his mouth instead of something reasonable is- ]
What was that?! You can't just do something like that and not explain it! Is he really done for?
[ Rin doesn't want to check and look, but he'd like to at least contribute something to this fight that isn't cowardice or confusion. So he pushes aside his reservations and approaches the bug with a desk in his hands, ready to smash it into the bug in the event that it decides it doesn't quite feel like dying yet. ]
It's really not moving...
no subject
It's my Minimum. And I don't know, that's why I said to use the desk.
[He pauses to watch it, and gives it a kick.]
Still think you should use it.
no subject
The smell coming out of it is further evidence of that, so Rin finally puts the chair down and holds his arm to his nose while taking a step back to survey the damage. His stomach is turning already at the sight. ]
You say 'minimum' like it's something I should know off the top of my head! Would it kill you to explain things for a few seconds? I already killed whatever that was.
[ Well, he's still pretty sure it was dead before... ]
no subject
[He holds his hand up to his nose to try to mask the smell a little bit more, and shakes his head.
Oh wait, Rin's talking again. He doesn't like explaining, okay!! Well ok he does but that's only because he likes showing off how awesome he thinks he is.]
It's a power. Kind of like one of those hero shows!
[No...don't do this]
no subject
[ He still doesn't get how minimum ties in with all of this or what he means nor does he entirely believe him. On the other hand, he just saw him blast that bug with some kind of power he's never bore witness to before. It had to be some kind of magic even if that's stretching Rin's suspension of belief at the moment. ]
Why don't you start with your power actually is before you go off making vague comparisons like that?
1/2
[Even if he was able to do one......yeah he's not patient enough for that anyway. Just go with him Rin.]
I'm not making vague comparisons! It sounds totally cool!
[No it doesn't]
2/3 i lied
All I gotta do is snap. [And he's mimicking a snap, here] And then everyone freezes around me. Then? It's all cake.
[Hm.]
no subject
Hey. You know if they have any cake in this place? Preferably free samples.
[?????? Rin might need to reel him back in, here.]
1/2
-it's a game! why would they have cake in a game?! And if it was just snapping and freezing everything around, you could have said that before! Just cut to the chase!
[ He could strangle him if this guy didn't just save his life a few seconds ago. In fact, he's the one that owes him, so he's sort of putting up with this for the time being. ]
2/2
Let's just log out and get some food. I'll take you up on this minimum stuff if it keeps those things from getting to us, but for now, I don't want to bother with any more creepy teachers.
no subject
[Stop yelling at him!! Even though he 100% deserves it, especially since his attention span is so short.]
I guess we should go before anything else shows up, yeah. [GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY ELSE] I'm going to get all tired if I keep working like this.
[Nice...]
