 ViViD's usual worlds are unfortunately down for maintenance. While CERES' programmers work on getting it back up and running, all new entrees this round will be going through a different level than usual. Only a single world is accessible at the moment, a simple one entitled 'CERESLearn.' "What the $%@& is this?" you must be thinking. Well, it's simple! It's a study program, of course! CERES' advanced AI technology is here to make sure you learn and that you learn sexily. Whether or not you pay attention to the actual content is up to you, the player. Please enjoy it while it lasts. They're here to teach you a variety of subjects and also to make you feel vaguely uncomfortable all over. New arrivals and those logging into ViViD will first find themselves in a classroom with a new operator greeting them rather than Vidia.

Once you choose your lesson and your tutor, you will be transported to a classroom where you and a few other players who decide to choose the same lesson will sit with your tutor after school, getting knowledge taught to you by someone who seems more intent on learning what's under your clothes than filling your head with knowledge. They will be awkwardly stretching, dropping pencils by 'accident' on the floor, and bending down slowly to pick them up. Certain things might be spilling out of their clothes. Awkward things. They will breathe down your neck and make sure you are well-versed in their anatomy by the end of the lesson.

Cynbel, then! [A decisive nod!] I only just got here. I mean - it's the strangest thing, because I know that I went to some sort of festival where I met a few people here... But that's the last thing I remember before waking up in this building. [This fake virtual reality building...]

[Oz gets a slightly concerned look then, because Cynbel needs to know if he needs to bring this guy to a hospital for whacking his head really hard or not.]

[The other kind is Apollo!! Cynbel is actually good at entertaining himself in ways that don't always endanger innocent people, thank you very much.
Cynbel turns his head to watch where he's going, and they're almost on top of the exit by then. He stops, double-checking the map before dismissing it for good.]

[Oz is tempted to wave his hand through the air he just appeared from, but luckily his dumb dorkishness does not extend (all the time) to things that might end up dragging him back into weird hell vortexes.]

It is! It's much better than when I arrived, and I couldn't leave at all on my own. They play these terrible pranks on every new group, and it's getting to be quite old.
[Only somebody used to death being a real stake in "pranks" would call it that, but hey, Cynbel calls it like he sees it.]
