Teeny Weeny String Bikini [OPEN!]

Where: Indoor waterpark in the Entertainment District
What: An indoor waterpark adventure! It's like a beach episode in the middle of the winter! Basically, Nonon wanted to go with just Ryuko but suddenly more people were invited than she intended. Now the word is out, it's not longer a private date for the two, and instead filled with friends, food and swimming!
Rating/Warning: None so far!

It all started with a simple text message to Ryuko. Nonon had found a bikini she wanted to wear and heard about an indoor waterpark in the Entertainment District that is heated in the wintertime. And what she had secretly hoped to be a day out between her and her sister's best friend that she might or might not be feeling some sort of unresolved tension with, suddenly grew bigger when she was told to invite Athena. Soon more and more people were invited until it was a small crowd all planning to meet up at the waterpark.

And what a park it is!

With a giant heat lamp in roof overhead it's almost like being at the beach in summer! The change of temperature as soon as you arrive is almost staggering. The heat is a nice change of pace though from the snowstorm that had hit earlier over Christmas, making it all the better reason to rip off your clothes down to your swimsuit and enjoy a day in the water!!

There is plenty to do:

A wave pool!

A hidden grotto

Chicken fights!

Just be careful around the little robotic crabs that move around, as the self-cleaning systems. There's rumors that if they were all to come together in one place they might form into a giant dangerous crab robot that would need to be battled, in some kind of... Crab Battle. So don't do that.

The park closes at 9:00pm, and the sun slowly turns off with sundown, so enjoy a romantic evening lit by underwater lights.

[His bow disappears and he just sits back in his chair, minding the pot again.]

As long as you leave the search radius, I'm sure they'll forget about you shortly.

I hope so, and I hope these crabs aren't too expensive.

[She continues her shuffle away from the scene of the crime, finally plopping herself into a chair next to Archer where she can fix her bikini's string.]

Phew, that was dangerous. In more ways than one! Is this what you meant when you said you were confident in your cooking? It smells good.

[Meanwhile, the crabs were scouting around on high alert.]

I don't care how much they cost. They don't belong to me.

Something of the sort. This isn't difficult to make either way so I'm not going to pretend to be proud of it.

[She wanted to refute... well, everything, but by now she was more than aware than Archer was far too stubborn for that and it was too nice a day for arguments.]

Are you just giving it away? How nice. Can I have some, then, or does this need an arcane test?

[Far away, where Nanoha used to be, somebody accidentally steps on a crab. They're on high alert and really starting to converge, now.]

You can have some, certainly, but you'll have to deal with me serving it.

[He's thankfully very fair. Filling a bowl with plenty of just about everything.]

I definitely can't complain about a few rules for free food!

[She takes a sip of the soup, and tries a mushroom. She's about to try more, but is interrupted by a scream. For some reason, there was a Giant Enemy Crab robot chasing a poor stranger who really had no idea what was going on.]

It was delicious, but looks like it'll have to wait! [She gently puts the bowl, making sure its contents weren't disturbed, and leaps to her feet!]

[Archer just shook his head and laid back in the chair. If she wanted to take care of it, that was her prerogative. Certainly saved him some time and energy of having to deal with it.]

Oh, for... [She wanted to protest, but there wasn't time for that.]

Raising Heart, set up! [A bright flash of light, and the bikini is replaced by her white battle gear. She takes to the air, staff in hand.]

Okay, even though people are clearing out, if I go overboard there won't be much of a park left. Let's open with a Shooter and see where that gets us!

[A single bullet of energy flies at the crab, and...

bounces off harmlessly!

Three shots didn't work. Even seven at once wasn't cutting it.]

Hey, Archer-san, any ideas?!

[He turns to look at the crab and shakes his head derisively.]

Of course you're not going to harm it from up there. A crab's soft spot is on the bottom. What, do you need help?

Ah, right.

[Standard military doctrine for aerial combat was to be above and behind your opponent. It gave you the best angle of attack and let you keep your eyes open for anything coming in. However, standard doctrine was for fighting other mages, not giant enemy crab bots.]

I won't say no to help, even when it's offered like that. Just keep it from grabbing me okay?

[Nanoha turns her shields up to full and slams straight into the lower lip of the crab, pushing it until it started to give way and flip. The weak side was on the bottom, but Nanoha wasn't comfortable flying right below the crab - that left her too open - so the only solution was to turn bottom to top!]

[She probably could take care of it herself but, at this point, if something happened, blame could be squarely placed on him. It wasn't like she was asking anything difficult.

He just created two swords, blades as wide as Nanoha was tall, and magically fired them off at the crab. Their entire purpose being to keep the claws occupied with something a little more their size. No sense in giving them the chance to grab something else.]

[Eh? Archer was using swords? That was definitely not what she expected when she got his name. Still, there was no time to be shocked as she gave the crab one last boost, flipping it onto its back with a big crash.

Even now, with her enemy defenceless, Nanoha was faced with a dilemma. A Buster would end up destroying too much of a surrounding area, her Shooter bullets still might not penetrate, and the blunt force of the ACS Driver might cause the robot to shatter and send shrapnel everywhere.

Hmm.

Got it!

Picking up on of Archer's oversized (overcompensating?) swords, Nanoha took to the air to create some space to accelerate, crashing down into the robot and hitting its weak point for massive damage. Skewering their soft bellies with a big knife was how you killed real crabs anyway, right?]

Phew! There we go. All's well that end's well, I guess?

[Nanoha half wished there was an explosion, but it was probably for the best that this robot just quietly wriggled around pinned to the ground until it died.]

Now then, back to the nabe!

[Considering he never moved from his spot, Archer thinks it ended well. Especially with his own swords fading into the ether, leaving no trace of his involvement. All is well.]

Nobody got hurt, and collateral damage has been kept to a minimum, so I'd say I'm allowed to say yes! That was actually quite fun!

[She settles back into her chair and starts again on the bowl of nabe.]

But that's a seriously impressive skill you have there. I didn't expect someone called Archer to throw giant swords around, but it just goes to show you shouldn't judge books by their cover. Was it alchemy? Summoning? Something else altogether?

Neither. It's a useless spell called Projection. Still, I'm neither an archer or a swordsman so both of those terms mean little to me. I'm just a useless mage who has shorn up his weaknesses by having no strengths. In a world of combat, being a jack-of-all-trades means you have a counter to much of everything if done properly.

[And Archer was all about the underhanded methods of winning, since he lacked the pride that most heroes carried around.]

Your name is Archer, but you're not an archer? It seems like a missed opportunity, honestly.

[She shrugs, knowing better than to press the point against Archer by now.]

I was a magical combat instructor you know, not that it'll help you much since every world works differently and you seem to know your tactics well enough, but I know what we call people who have an answer for every situation. Ace.

My title is Archer, because I was summoned as one. I have a bow and the class skills granted to an Archer, despite being a blacksmith heroic spirit. That's how things work where I'm from.

I have a term for people who have an answer for every situation. We call those people someone who has been in every situation and learns from it. I've been through enough that knowing how to do these things has been granted to me as a skill.

[Summoned? Class skills? Granted? Heroic spirit? Nanoha was perhaps in way over her head, but she was never the type to let herself falter just because of that!]

I'm not sure I fully understand, but I'll take it as what it is. So your cooking, is that one of the skills you were granted for having been in every situation, or is that just something you're good at?

Fate and her knew how to cook before adopting Vivio, but since they were either on missions or at base most of the time with plenty of rations they never had to get good at it until they had a home with a growing girl.]

But are you saying you're not a normal human now?

As I said earlier, I'm a heroic spirit. I'm more akin to a human than a ghost. Yes, before you ask, I did die before I got to this position.

I thought 'Heroic Spirit' was some foreign metaphor! Like 'free spirit,' y'know?

[She's never met a ghost, but she knew a few people that were inextricably linked to the dead. Was he like the Wolkenritter, summoned repeatedly through the ages to serve various masters? Vivio, cloned from an ancient dead hero in an effort to gain her power? Or Einhart, a descendant who had somehow inherited the memories through her bloodline? Probably the first, at a guess, but... Well, Nanoha treated all of them the same way she treated everyone else, so perhaps it really didn't matter?]

Dead or not, you're here now, and I guess that's the most important thing, right?

No, it's very self-explanatory. Someone who became a hero and lives on after death in legends and deeds.

[He thanks every day that he's not in somebody's history book, unlike pretty much every other Servant.]

Hmmm? I don't know about legends, but I do have a couple of best selling movies made about my life, do those count?

I'm not going to be the one who judges these kinds of things so asking me is a bit pointless.
