Teeny Weeny String Bikini [OPEN!]

Where: Indoor waterpark in the Entertainment District
What: An indoor waterpark adventure! It's like a beach episode in the middle of the winter! Basically, Nonon wanted to go with just Ryuko but suddenly more people were invited than she intended. Now the word is out, it's not longer a private date for the two, and instead filled with friends, food and swimming!

It all started with a simple text message to Ryuko. Nonon had found a bikini she wanted to wear and heard about an indoor waterpark in the Entertainment District that is heated in the wintertime. And what she had secretly hoped to be a day out between her and her sister's best friend that she might or might not be feeling some sort of unresolved tension with, suddenly grew bigger when she was told to invite Athena. Soon more and more people were invited until it was a small crowd all planning to meet up at the waterpark.




And what a park it is!

With a giant heat lamp in roof overhead it's almost like being at the beach in summer! The change of temperature as soon as you arrive is almost staggering. The heat is a nice change of pace though from the snowstorm that had hit earlier over Christmas, making it all the better reason to rip off your clothes down to your swimsuit and enjoy a day in the water!!

There is plenty to do:

Water slides!

A wave pool!

A hidden grotto with hot tubs for secret rendezvous...

Lazy river!

Deliciously fruity cocktails from the swim-up bar that are known to be deceptively alcoholic...

Some local jerk has even brought food for people to eat, or you can eat at the snack bar!

Sunbathing!

Chicken fights!

And of course, swimming with friends!

Just be careful around the little robotic crabs that move around, as the self-cleaning systems. There's rumors that if they were all to come together in one place they might form into a giant dangerous crab robot that would need to be battled, in some kind of... Crab Battle. So don't do that.

The park closes at 9:00pm, and the sun slowly turns off with sundown, so enjoy a romantic evening lit by underwater lights.

[Edgeworth is here not because he wanted to go, but because he got dragged over by his friends. WHAT ARE FRIENDS FOR? So what else is new? The cold was stifling and warmth was a welcome change from the dreary weather outside, though, so it didn't take long for him to relent and allow himself to be dragged to the pool party. Look, if he has to have fun, he'll do it on his own terms.

...and by that we mean IGNORE HIS TERMS AND PULL HIM INTO YOUR SHENANIGANS.]

You can find Edgeworth, clad in a plain white shirt and red board shorts lounging in a deck chair with a good book. On the nearest table is a glass of iced tea topped with one of those fancy paper umbrellas. Judging from how damp his hair is, he's been in the pool previously and is taking a break. And he even has a pair of cool sunglasses on, wow.

Strike up a conversation! Yank him off his chair to have more fun! Or ask about what he's reading. The possibilities are endless.]

[B: THESE ARE THE ABS YOU'RE LOOKING FOR

Edgeworth isn't interested in the slides or games or whatever (but you can change that). Instead, he deliberately chooses to stay in the deeper end of the pool, away from the crowds. There, he can swim laps and relax. He's not fast but hey, he does well enough, thank you very much.

His shirt is off and for anyone who would care to notice, there is a faint scar on his stomach, the remnant of a nearly fatal stab wound successfully treated by surgery.]

[Meanwhile, there was Anna who too decided it might be better to just sit around after a long day of swimming! Admittedly, she was sitting nearby as she wrapped a towel around her entire body. She had never seen swimsuits quite like these before and it enough to make her self concious. To think, she thought to herself, girls would wear swimsuits like these...

Of course, her thoughts were cut off once she stopped a familiar face. Yay, a distraction!]

....So....what are you reading?

[prosecutory]

[Edgeworth lowers his book and turns to whoever spoke up...ah, yes. He holds up the title cover to show her.]

Sherlock Holmes, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

[With that, Anna just raised an eyebrow at him]

Sherlock Holmes? Never heard of it before but it must be really good if you're reading it!

[prosecutory]

He is a fictional detective who solves mysteries and crimes.

[She was probably from a world where Sir Arthur Conan Doyle did not exist, or had yet to exist.]

Crimes and mystery huh? You think you can let me borrow it whenever you're done? Don't think I ever read a book about him before! But then again, I never really would read a book like that!

It just seems a little too.... [What's the word she's looking for?] ...Boring?

[prosecutory]

[Make up your mind, Anna.]

Hardly. [He disagrees.] It's exciting to try and guess the outcome, and be surprised at the result.

[And when you know all the results, it's always fun to go through Sherlock's methods and logic.]

[sjokolade]

Oh yeah? What do you mean by that? I think that it's a little difficult to solve all those things around and it can get a little boring!

[In other words, rage quit it!]

And I don't really have time to wait to read until I get to the ending anyway!

[prosecutory]

It is difficult, but I find thrill in the challenge. And you can consider reading a book an exercise in patience. [He's not admonishing her; in fact, he just taps his temple and grins as if telling Anna a very vital secret.

It's likely because the idea of Anna sitting quietly in a corner reading is so improbable and yet would be a welcome break from how she usually acts.]

Well, I have read plenty of books before! Just ones that are filled with a lot of magic and fantasy! And besides, reading a story about crime and mystery seems a little too scary for me.

[Although, she didn't really like the way he was tapping against his temple. Instead, she just settled for a sigh as she sat down next to him]

But fine! I'll give this but if I end up getting nightmares though? I'm blaming you!

[prosecutory]

I doubt this book would give you nightmares. [He holds said book up for emphasis and shakes his head.] It'll leave you in suspense, but it shouldn't scare you.

[Okay, some Sherlock Holmes stories are a little bit freaky, but those don't give him nightmares at all.]

Oh yeah? Then anything suspenseful that I should be on the lookout for? Because if it really that intense...!

[But then again, this is the same girl who fought off a giant snow monster and survived being frozen from the inside out but...!]

[ Nonon would never care about a do not disturb sign in a hotel, and she certainly doesn't care about the air of a similar meaning about Edgeworth sitting there on his deck chair. She has questions! ]

Hey! [ Standing above him, her own sunglasses pushed up with a couple of fingers, Nonon (barely) looks down on him, clad in her own baby blue bikini, looking slightly annoyed. ]

I've got a few questions here!

[prosecutory]

[At the sound of Nonon's "Hey!" Edgeworth snaps his book shut and removes his sunglasses. He even sits up straighter and raises his eyebrows.]

Is there a problem, Miss Jakuzure?

[shikisha]

[ Her question is simple, though she adds a small preamble to explain herself. ]

It seems like my plan to come here with a couple of my friends went off key somewhere along the lines. So, what made you decide to come here today?

[ There seems to be a lot of people here, a lot of people she's seen before, all when she only wanted a day to try to talk a little more with Ryuko... Alone. ]

[prosecutory]

[Oh. Ohhhh no. Not only was Edgeworth pulled all the way here, he ended up crashing a party! He at least looks contrite.]

I apologize; I did not know and was pulled here by my friends. [And at watergunpoint, too.]

[shikisha]

[ That seems to be a fair enough answer, because Nonon relents, and plops down onto the free chair next to him. ]

So you with little choice in the matter? [ She can understand that much at least. ]

You don't seem like the waterpark type, after all.

[prosecutory]

[He shakes his head - to indicate that he did have little choice in the matter as much as to agree that he isn't the water park type.]

I was outnumbered, but I have to admit, the warmth made me stay.

[shikisha]

[ And yet Nonon wanted to come here, even though she thinks she is much more mature than she is. And she's been really enjoying herself here too. ]

I was surprised when I first heard about it, even the one back home in Japan that I've heard about doesn't heat from the inside. It almost feels like summer in the middle of winter. But I always love the chance to get to wear a cute swimsuit.

[prosecutory]

It's a welcome change, yes. [Edgeworth looks up briefly, but doesn't look directly at the lamp overhead. Also, he couldn't care less about cute swimsuits.] I hope you don't mind if I remain here; I won't disturb you or your friends. [He is more than happy to stay out of other people's way.]

[shikisha]

[ ...Not caring about cute swimsuits!? What kind of man!? ]

Of course not, you're keeping to yourself, I have no complaints. Besides, it seems having you here raises the average intelligence level by a few points I imagine. [ Given that he likes classical music, she has to give him some credit. ]

Do you plan to swim at all?

[prosecutory]

[He isn't one to take compliments, but the fact that Nonon would consider him intelligent, even by just a few points, is amusing in itself. The corners of his mouth move up slightly, briefly.]

Of course. In a while. [Did you really think he would spend the entire day - wait. Yes, many people would think that.]

[shikisha]

[ So far, Edgeworth has given more than enough indicators that he's a man of class. And Nonon seems to enjoy thinking she's got class as well. ]

You know, you never told me what you got assigned with for work here.

[prosecutory]

[He does have class. His current job, however, isn't as classy...as shown in how his expression seems to deflate.]

...I was assigned as the police department secretary.
