When: IC 1/16 - All Day
Where: Indoor waterpark in the Entertainment District
What: An indoor waterpark adventure! It's like a beach episode in the middle of the winter! Basically, Nonon wanted to go with just Ryuko but suddenly more people were invited than she intended. Now the word is out, it's not longer a private date for the two, and instead filled with friends, food and swimming!
Rating/Warning: None so far!
It all started with a simple text message to Ryuko. Nonon had found a bikini she wanted to wear and heard about an indoor waterpark in the Entertainment District that is heated in the wintertime. And what she had secretly hoped to be a day out between her and her sister's best friend that she might or might not be feeling some sort of unresolved tension with, suddenly grew bigger when she was told to invite Athena. Soon more and more people were invited until it was a small crowd all planning to meet up at the waterpark.
And what a park it is!
With a giant heat lamp in roof overhead it's almost like being at the beach in summer! The change of temperature as soon as you arrive is almost staggering. The heat is a nice change of pace though from the snowstorm that had hit earlier over Christmas, making it all the better reason to rip off your clothes down to your swimsuit and enjoy a day in the water!!
There is plenty to do:
Just be careful around the little robotic crabs that move around, as the self-cleaning systems. There's rumors that if they were all to come together in one place they might form into a giant dangerous crab robot that would need to be battled, in some kind of... Crab Battle. So don't do that.
The park closes at 9:00pm, and the sun slowly turns off with sundown, so enjoy a romantic evening lit by underwater lights.

[ She looks a little annoyed at that! But quickly lets it fade as she slips into the water, motioning for Ryuko to come. ]
Come see what I found earlier. [ If she doesn't come then Nonon will pull her, but it would be much easier she thinks, if she didn't! ]

[ Ryuko follows her into the water, but not as reluctantly as she makes it so. She is kind of curious about what Nonon could have possibly found, but more importantly, maybe she shouldn't be left alone in the water if she can't handle that liquor. ]

[ While there's a slight tint to her cheeks Nonon isn't really drunk. And why she wants to show Ryuko... she's not sure. Maybe because she's the first person she found to show it to since she heard people talking about a secret grotto.
And it only takes a second to swim up to the concealed hole where the fake vines overgrow and hide it. Pushing past them they end up in the grotto, fake stone walls with a high ceiling that is obviously the hill overlooking the pools. And there at the top is a whole that looks up to the ceiling, likely letting out the steam from the hot tubs inside. ]

[ What a weird place. Ryuko wonders why it would even be a secret, being a Japanese girl who's used to having hot baths. She would much prefer this over the public pool! ]

[ Surprisingly there's no one here though, and that makes it easier for Nonon to just climb into one of them, not waiting for Ryuko. ]

[ She glares a little, before wading to the other side of the tub. ]

[ Ryuko steps into the tub before she can finish her sentence and is immediately overcome with a small sense of relief. Her cheeks even turn a slight shade of red as she soaks it all in.
The tub is kind of small, meant only for about 3-4 people, and when Ryuko tries to stretch her legs, they awkwardly bump into Nonon as she sits across from her. ]

W-Watch it. [ She tries to sound annoyed, but it's so forced that there's no way to take her seriously. ]
It's fine. Ahh, at least the jets are working... [ She leans back, closing her eyes, leg settling against Ryuko's without thinking, and falls into a silence, that she isn't ready to break. ]

At least there's more legroom this way, and she's not forced to stare at the other girl with all this pent up frustration.

..Yeah she realizes that being close to her like this is something that she likes. It actually clicks in her mind, and she almost thinks of more, until Ryuko speaks, and she instinctively pulls away from her. ]
I know that. You were only staying until it seemed like Harime was off your back. [ She sounds... not hurt, but not completely fine with it either. ]

[ Her gaze falls into the water now. ]

[ And she falls silent again. Why does this feel like a big deal? It was only supposed to be a few days from the beginning. ]

But she falls silent too, just her lower leg barely touching Ryuko under the water. She eventually sighs, for no reason really. ]

[ It's still a nice gesture of her. Ryuko should be confused by it, but she isn't. It's Nonon's way of saying she's welcome anytime, because these boneheads can't seem to express anything directly.
This water must be getting hotter or something. ]

Well, I had fun today. [ There. She admits it. ] I was happy to spend the day with all my friends. Even if... things were to go wrong again tomorrow... I'll always have today.

[ Underneath the water, her fingers have been slowly interlocking with Nonon's, one by one until they're undoubtedly holding hands at this point. It's hard to tell if it was deliberate, or just Ryuko getting lost in the moment, as her expression remains unchanged. ]

Jeez, you sound like-- [ Nonon starts to call Ryuko out for her embarrassing sentimentality there, shaking her head at how goofy the other girl is. ...And then she thanks her, again, and she feels Ryuko's fingers intertwining with her own.
Her heart stops.
At least Nonon thinks that it's her heart stopping. Slowly she turns her head to look at the other girl, as if making sure she wasn't just doing this to mess with her. But when she sees that steady, almost faraway look, she knows it's real. But she turns away, their hands still together, unsure of what else to say or do, her mind completely a blur.
And at that moment Nonon realizes she likes Ryuko Matoi. ]

Silence fills the grotto again, and Ryuko just blinks at the girl, as if they're both waiting for the next natural thing to occur between them. ]

[ Ryuko shakes her head and suddenly lets go of Nonon before standing up. While the water of the hot tub is dripping off her, it conceals embarrassing sweat drops of her own. Things certainly got Weird™ again, didn't they? ]
This stupid ass tub is way too small.

Maybe Ryuko doesn't even know what she's doing, holding Nonon's hand like that. Maybe it's just her way of thanking Nonon for setting this up. There's no way to tell, and it's only made worse... or maybe better, by the way she suddenly just stands up in the hot tub, ruining the moment. ]
...Maybe your legs are just too long. [ Yup, and right back into it, even though there's no real barbs here. ] We should probably get back to the others anyway.
